This stunning geodesic luxury 2,000 sq feet home complete with a full range of amenities, rests on 2 private acres enveloped by the lush beauty of the rainforest. Immerse yourself in the serenity of the tropical gardens, where the melodious coquis will gently lull you to sleep and the distinctive chorus of indigenous hawaiian birds will greet you each morning. Positioned between Hilo and Volcano National Park, this home and its grounds provide a secure and peaceful haven, serving as an ideal starting point for exploring the wonders of this magnificent island. You will enjoy grilling on a new grill with five burners, plus side stove and serving your masterpiece right there in the spacious outdoor dining area. Cozy up around a fire pit gazing at the stars roasting marshmallows. No matter what you do, you'll enjoy and rejuvenate yourself staying in this home I call "The Beehive".

This place is gold. We stayed here before with my Grandma and this time I brought my very high maintenance parents. Both said they would stay again in a heartbeat! Such a generous host with all the amenities you can think of in the kitchen as well. 10/10The crow’s nest is so cool for the kiddos and all around the house is just a wonderful set up.

Was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The house itself is nestled between the beautiful greenery, with plenty of fruit trees and vegetation. Inside the house, it feels like a fairy garden. Very well equipped kitchen with a lot of passion fruit for us to enjoy! The host is absolutely kind and gave a lot of suggestions on when to go to the national park. Totally recommend this treasure trove of a place to stay and enjoy! Kids had a blast! Thank you very much for hosting us!

Jenny was very welcoming and we arrived in time for a brief tour of the home. The amenities met our needs in preparing for meals, the drive to the store is quite a ways away. So make sure you got your list and make your stops before heading into Fern Acres. It’s a beautiful place and an adventurous property. Amazing home! I would’ve never know the lifestyle in this style home, but it’s very beautifully set and modern.There’s lots of activities and games to do family time together. The back porch is perfect for outdoor sitting and watch the sunrise!!

Great staycation

We had a very private get away from the hustle and bustle of Hilo Town. Great VRBO if you like a secluded hideaway. Owner was very nice and accommodating. Only hiccup was opening and closing the front gate.

This was such a fun, peaceful property!

We came over for a quick one-night trip to see the volcano and celebrate a birthday. It was such a cool property with plenty of space for everyone. The location was perfect for activities in Hilo and at Volcano. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Unique Home

Our family group of 10 stayed comfortably at this unique tropical home. The host, Jenny, was kind and accomodating which made us feel very welcomed. Location was great to access Volcano National Park as well as being in close proximity to Hilo. The kids loved to climb up to the observation room. We enjoyed our stay and the hopsitality of our host!

Mountain view is convenient for tourists because of its location. You are literally 20 min from the ocean, all major department stores and grocery stores, National Volcano Park, restaurants and more.

This Beehive is spacious and most definately unique. Sitting on 2 acres with locked gate, my home is surrounded by the forests providing guests complete safety and privacy.
