Serene views with full lakeside windows for perfect picturesque lake setting experience. Swans not guaranteed but frequent the lake just yards from the water's edge. Enjoy the studio suite with private entrance, jacuzzi and hot tub experience after fishing, kayaking on the lake. Kitchenette, wi-fi internet, flat screen, air conditioning and electric fireplace for a cozy getaway experience.

This lock-off apartment connects to the main residence. For your privacy, the connecting access is secured from both sides with locks similar to what you find in an adjoining hotel rooms . Property is equipped with motion detector lights and security cameras at the front and back entrance of the property..


Our location provides easy access to Shipshewana's Amish tourism and Notre Dame's campus and football games.

We had a wonderful weekend get away. Lake Michigan Warren Dunes were a little over an hour away to start our vacation. A trip to Shipshewana where we took in a play and interesting shops was another nice side trip. A wonderful dinner at River Lake Inn in Colon, MI with a delightful walk through their gardens was another side trip. Each day we were welcomed back by the clean and relaxing setting at the Sturgis cabin on the lake with soothing hot tub. There was shopping at Meijer nearby and local eateries. Would definitely come back.

Location was perfect. On deadend road with less than a dozen houses, so was very quiet and not a lot of traffic. Lakefront property was serene and lake was calm. We had 2 swans visit us several times each day. We did not fish but used the dock to access the 2 kayaks daily. Life jackets and paddles/oars available dockside. The hot tub was relaxing and the perfect temp even though all the jets/functions weren't working-but we were made aware of it's limitations prior to check in. Unit/apartment was clean. Easy check in process.

Great relaxing getaway

This was the perfect location to come back to after day trips to Shipshewana. It was very cute, comfortable and cozy. Our favorite part was the hot tub at night overlooking the peaceful and serene lake. We really enjoyed our stay.
