Brand new, high end designer finishes in this modern home with open floor plan near Hermosa. Discover a hub of year-round outdoor fun when you stay at this 3-bedroom, 2-bath vacation rental home.
The home offers spectacular views, all amenities and comfort. Gourmet kitchen with all your cooking needs. Master has a king size bed, a spa retreat bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower to relax after a long day of activities, Double vanities and a private porch. Two additional bedrooms (king bed / 2 twins) on the opposite side of the house with a shared bathroom. The backyard is fenced in for your pups with a 7' x 5’ rectangular fire pit for 6-8 adults. Hang out outside all year long enjoying the amazing mountain views while enjoying the gas fire pit and a beverage of your choice.

Take advantage of miles of world-class skiing 15 mins from house, hiking, and mountain biking trails, raft the waters of the Animas River, explore historic downtown Durango (10 mins from home), or climb aboard the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad for a scenic trip through the breathtaking canyons of the San Juan National Forest. At day's end, retreat back for a BBQ with friends and family with unspoiled mountain views.

The home also offers a 25 acre private hiking park right out the front door as part of the neighborhood.. It is the perfect location for all activities and enjoyment and conveniences including Durango Hot Springs Spa, PJ’s grocery store, Hermosa Grill, Purgatory and downtown Durango.. Are you a golfer? Dalton Ranch in 1 mile away.
Are you a mountain biker? Durango area offers some of the best mountain bike trails outside your front door.

AMAZING Property

We really enjoyed our stay at the Modern Mountain Chateau. The house is in a gorgeous neighborhood between Durango and Purgatory. It is beautifully decorated with high end items. It was the perfect size for our family and we felt very much at home. Communication with the owner was perfect. She was very quick to respond to a couple of my questions. We would definitely love to stay here again.

Beautiful home, Conveniently located

This home does not disappoint! Wonderful location, two minutes to Durango Hot Springs and an easy drive to and from Durango in a quiet neighborhood with gorgeous views. The home is spacious but very cozy and welcoming. Highly recommend staying at this Modern Mountain Chateau.

Beautiful home!

Beautiful home in a nice quiet neighborhood. Perfect location between Durango and Purgatory (ski resort). The house was well stocked with all necessities, brand new and very clean. Great master suite separated from the other bedrooms. The layout of the home worked perfectly for our family of four and the fenced yard was great for the dog.

This property was almost perfect. Location was perfect. It sits in a beautiful valley halfway between the ski hill and Durango, about 15 minutes to each. It is spacious and comfortable. Very modern and well equipped. We were four adults and two kids and everyone was comfortable. The only negative aspect of the experience was that we would occasionally run across something that was not well cleaned or should have been a long time ago discarded. For example we had to wash the dish towels which we not very well laundered and were close to rags. There were also a few dead plants in the house, a lot of old food, and some of the owners things around in drawers and in the garage. But let me be clear this was not the general case, most things were clean, well maintained and of good quality. If they just did a run through and got rid of these few things and replaced them the place would be perfect. The beds are comfortable, great showers, and the overall space and living areas are very nice. Don't let the little things stop you from renting this place. I would recommend it without hesitation.
