Peaceful Cabin Overlooking the Bogue Chitto River

Peaceful, secluded cabin right on the Bogue Chitto River. A private beach sand bar on the river is just a walk away. The views from the huge porch overlooking the river and all the nature it has to offer are second to none. It is a wonderful place with modern amenities tucked away in peaceful seclusion near the Bogue Chitto River.

I must add a disclaimer: being so close to the river can present logistical difficulties. When the river floods, the cabin is inaccessible. Thankfully, this only happens a few times per year. But in the event that the river rises to unacceptable levels during a booking, guests will receive a full refund for any unused time, as holding anyone accountable for the actions of nature doesn't seem fair to me.

The house was recently updated and in great condition. We enjoyed the relative seclusion and quite area. The furnishings in the house were excellent with stone counter tops, nice appliances and over the top nice showers. Communication with the Host was spot on. We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely experience great stay. Beautiful property and access to the river whose beach is spacious and uncrowded. Lots of cool rocks to collect if interested in that sort of things— agates, jade, amethyst, etc
 My only feedback is I wish the limited supplies had been conveyed to us (one washer pod/one replacement liner/trash can, for example) so that we could have come better prepared, but the Dollar General is a quick 5 min ride away. Be prepared for lots of taxidermy! Ear marking this property for our next cabin get away.

The cabin was very rural but easy to find once given the directions. It was on beautiful land and the cabin itself was gorgeous. It was nicely stocked with kitchen wear, seasonings, cosmetics for the bathroom, etc. very clean and cozy with lovely views of the Bogue Chitto.

Awesome family friendly cabin!!

My family and I celebrated 4th of July here in this beautiful cabin. It is secluded and has a beautiful river view! It has all the amenities you need. There is plenty of dishes so you don’t have to pack a lot. Two refrigerators for food. Dollar General is 3 miles away. Easy to operate luggage elevator so you will not have to bring up and down steps. You can fish and swim on a nice clean sandbar. The owners are great at communicating. You will not regret the stay at this cabin. We highly recommend it and will stay again!! Geaux Tigers!!

Great Place & Better Memories

By far one of the BEST places we have ever stayed!Beautiful Cabin on the Bogue Chitto River, lots of space, great decor & amazing porch. Beach was conveniently super close & very clean. Great communication with host! We will be planning another trip sooner rather than later. And when I win the lottery I plan on asking the owner to sell to me, LOL!

Peaceful! Beautiful! Breathtaking!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this cabin in Franklinton, LA, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail throughout the property. The first thing my husband did was cast the fishing pole in the river in the back yard. We will definitely be coming back!!

Great Cabin!

We loved our time at the cabin. The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time down by the beach digging and collecting rocks. They also loved the hammock! The yard was huge so we were able to play a lot of Bocce.

The stay was good just rained the whole time my only complaint was I felt uncomfortable there’s cameras everywhere n I just felt like we was being watched the entire time. Feels more like a half way house than a vacational stay

A peaceful and wonderful weekend

Our weekend was so peaceful and relaxing . The camp is even more beautiful in person . It has such a welcoming feeling the minute you walk in the door . The woods and the river view was defiantly added beauty . We enjoyed just sitting on the porch taking in all that God has created !!!We did not won’t to leave for sure - so with that being said we 100% look forward to going back again. A Peaceful Getaway!

Our stay was just what we needed! In the hustle and bustle of every day life, we sometimes forget about the beauty around us. This property helps you to remember that. You are surrounded by woods, water and wildlife. It was the most peaceful place we have stayed to date. The entire time we were there, we never heard any noise from neighbors and you are far enough out to not hear traffic. The house was absolutely perfect! It was very clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back again!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

We stayed here this past weekend for a short escape with our kids and two pups (who we usually have to leave at home). The cabin was immaculate and very nicely decorated. The kitchen had many amenities that made cooking so easy. The beds were incredibly comfy and so were the reclining sofas! Outdoors, we enjoyed several rounds of basketball, walking the doggies around the property and letting them explore and making S'mores at night! We also enjoying sitting out by the river listening to music and dipping our toes in the water! We're already planning our next visit! In addition, the communication with the hosts was outstanding. I contacted them several times about different little things and always received a friendly and timely reply. When we left, my husband forgot his watch and I contacted them right away. They went above & beyond to have the cleaning crew get it to them so they could get it back to us. Outstanding service!! 10/10
