Myrtle Cottage est une maison d'hĂŽtes privĂ©e sur 40 hectares avec de beaux jardins, regorgeant d'arbres locaux tels que Live Oaks, Magnolia's, Pines et Beech Trees vintage et un Ă©tang de pĂȘche avec Pirch and Bass. Des sentiers boisĂ©s mĂšnent aux falaises donnant accĂšs Ă  une pittoresque plage de sable blanc sur la riviĂšre Little Tchefuncte. Thank you Bobbie for the amazing hospitality. She pointed us in the right direction for great food around the area, had some really good treats for us, and gave us a quick history lesson. The house was perfectly clean and we really enjoyed our stay.

Property is clean very clean. Ms Bobbie is most wonderful host ever. Second stay and will be others. So quiet and beautiful. Very handy to Global Wildlife and instagaror. Covington is close with good restaurants and shopping. Cannot brag enough on ms Bobbie and her place.

AMAZING is the best way to describe this property and the host (Mrs. Bobbie)! She made the home so warm and welcoming, and even provided delicious snacks. Also, the home was spotless and beautifully decorated. The property itself is gorgeous with a pond and access to the Tchefuncte river. My husband and I had such a relaxing time fishing in the pond and the river and just exploring the property. We did catch a few bass and brim, and we did see several deer including a baby!When we weren't exploring the property, we drove into the nearby downtown area of Covington which had great restaurants and shopping. Overall, we would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in this area!

You’ll Want to Stay for a While

From the moment we set foot on Ms. Bobbie’s beautiful property, we felt like we were home. The peace and tranquility were unmatched, and her precious house was the perfect place for us to unplug and enjoy some great family time. The pond is fantastic for fishing and you are a comfortable walk to the beautiful Tchefuncte River.While there, we were easily able to enjoy Global Wildlife and the Bogue Falaya Park with our grandson and also fun boutique shopping and great food and cafes in Covington.If quiet walks, coffee on the front porch, unplugging, and de-stressing are in your future, look no further than Ms. Bobbie’s place. She is a delightful hostess with unmatched attention to detail, and you’ll feel her comfort and warmth during your entire stay there. We most definitely will be back!

As good as it gets!

This is just the perfect stay! To say the property is beautiful is an understatement. The house is spotless, peaceful and perfect! It was everything we'd hoped it would be and so much more and we'll be back soon. Additionally, yes Ms. Bobbie is the perfect host...but even more so she's one of God's beautiful gifts to our world. Peace, Quiet, and Happiness

A secluded gem off the beaten path may be an understatement for this one-of-a-kind property. Located 60 miles north of NOLA across the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway nestled on 40 acres of old growth forest you’ll find a luxurious cottage and its owner, Ms. Bobbie, who is the most gracious host I’ve ever met. The beauty and peacefulness cannot be understated and the interior was roomy, comfortable, and immaculate. On a scale from 1-10, I enthusiastically give the cottage and Ms. Bobbie a 10! Thank you for the lifelong memories.

Hidden Gem

This location is perfect if you like quiet and seclusion. We really enjoyed the front porch swing. It is less than 10 miles to restaurants and grocery stores. Kitchen was stocked with snacks like muffins, crackers, etc. The owner even had cheese, o.j., coffee creamer, and half and half in the refrigerator. We ate in most meals but did venture to The Rusty Pelican for dinner one night in Covington. We only stayed the weekend and did not venture out to walk to the little river that runs behind the owner's house (she lives next door). But we did go to the Global Wildlife Safari Park and had a great time there. I will definitely return here if I am ever in the area.

Lovely place to relax

Beautiful and quiet place to relax. Close enough to shopping, restaurants, etc.. We were looking for a place to relax and destress. The place is perfect and a better host than Ms Bobbie couldn't be found. Already planning a trip back. Everything was clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed walking around and just taking it all in.

Perfect getaway

Lovely home with all the little extras needed to feel right at home. The owner, Ms. Bobbie, was very attentive and easy to communicate with. Very comfortable beds. The kids really enjoyed fishing in the small pond. We didn’t venture down to the river, but hopefully we can do that next time!

Cozy Cottage on Little Tehfuncte River

The cottage is SO quiet! We loved sitting on the front porch and we were in awe of the ancient trees around us! The cottage was spotless and very well equipped. Bobbie stopped in to say hi and she had provided very thoughtful treats! We would certainly stay there again on a future visit to Covington!

Wonderful Retreat!

I am absolutely thrilled to rave about this fantastic property and owner! Miss Bobbie was an absolute delight to collaborate with. She was incredibly accommodating and offered all the comforts (including a delightful continental breakfast) one could dream of! The property is impeccably clean and situated in a tranquil setting. Perfect location and quiet

From the moment I booked the stay, Ms. Bobbie was the most thoughtful and responsive host. I am from the area and have family living there still but wanted a place where all my adult children and grandchildren could come to after celebrating the life of my grandmother. Ms. Bobbie made sure we are taken care of, even when the storm came through and we lost power, she was in constant communication. We will visit again when I travel back to Folsom to visit family. It is nice to have our own space.

Amazing Experience

Bobbie and her piece of heaven were amazing. We stayed for two days after a cruise before heading home and it was perfect spot to unwind. Bobbie was an amazing host and took great care of us during our stay. We plan to come back soon.
