Very nice modern cabin. Very clean and open. The kitchen/dining area provided lots of space. The downstairs living area was also nice. The sunset views were spectacular. I highly recommend this cabin.

Lookout Lodge

Staying here was great for my husband, daughters, grandkids & myself. Plenty of room for everyone as well as spectacular views.

House nice and clean, we had a couple issues, small ones and they fixed one of them while we were there. We had 13 teen thru adults, and there was room for everyone. Kitchen awesome but bring your own whisk and pizza cutter. Two types of coffee makers, 4 slice toaster, crockpot, no mixer, one large refrigerator, dishwasher, no garbage disposal, nice gas stove. Only two of the recliners worked but there was plenty of seating. 3 full bathrooms and one half bathroom. The view was amazingly beautiful, not sure you could find better. It is a big rough of a road getting there, but we seen deer, turkeys and hawks from the balcony. It should be noted that this is on a ski hill area and sits at 6,300 ft above sea level. All in all if we were ever in the area again we would stay again.

Parent’s 50th Wedding Anniversary

Perfect place for our family! Plenty of space. Great seating areas. Gorgeous views of the Hills. Spotted Deer, turkey, squirrels on property and heard elk buglering.

Great Location, Dirty house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the location. However, The house was very dirty. Unclean sheets and comforter on one of the beds, lots of dirt in the hot tub area, under the beds was awful.

Open floor plan with a big table. We liked the location, explored Mt Rushmore, Spearfish Canyon, Deadwood, Wildlife loop, Custer. All within driving distance. Easy check in. Everything as described and pictured. Highly recommend.

Vacation for 50th anniversary getaway.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very beautiful place and location. The only complaint had, was that it wasn’t very clean. There were dirty underwear under the beds in one room, and lots of dust and lost items under all the beds. The kitchen lacked a lot of things to cook with and you would think since it holds 18 people, that the toiletries in the bathrooms would have plenty of items. It was a nice stay except for those things.

Thanks for your feedback Tawnee. I'm sorry you didn't feel it was clean enough. We went and looked under all the beds after your stay and didn't find anything you mentioned. We'll look to have the property owners add some more kitchen utensils there. Thanks again for staying.

The house itself is nice however it needed to be cleaned better. The floors and rugs were dirty. The grill on the deck was so dirty it took me about half an hour of scrubbing before i would use it. The beds mattress were wrapped in vinyl / plastic cover which made them awful to sleep on. Tryed to contact the vrbo representative with questions. No response

Terrible communication no response

The unit was not cleaned well at all...the worst was ac went down for three days in 96 degrees days and nights where unseasonably warm contacted Mgr responded but never a follow up and Air was never fixed...never have had an issue on vrbo until now would not recommend staying

Thanks for your feedback John. We're very sorry the AC unit didn't work for the entire duration of your stay. Although, it's interesting comments given we have probably 15 text messages with you during your vacation with us. I've forwarded them over to you again. The group froze up the AC unit by having it set to around 66 degrees, so it ran too long and froze up. You asked that we stop at the property, which we did that same day, and we turned off the thermostats so the AC unit had enough time to unthaw. There wasn't anyone there from your group, so we texted to let you know that we stopped to turn off the AC unit so it could unthaw for a couple hours. Your group then turned it back on that evening when you got back and the AC unit was working fine.

Big, Private, Great Views

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a good time at Lookout Lodge. It was private and we loved the views from the decks. Hot tub worked well and was nice as the weather was typically ~15 degrees cooler up near Terry Peak than down in Deadwood. The kitchen was nice and so were the rooms. There are a good deal of small things that could be fixed, but nothing outrageous. Pretty clean overall (some leftover trash missed from the stay(s) before us). We did our best to leave it in good shape and clean when we left. I'd go there again and it looks like a perfect spot in winter - especially if you hit up Terry Peak!

Great stay for the whole family, plus wild turkeys!

We enjoyed being in the woods but only a few minutes away from amenities in Lead and Deadwood. We stayed in the summer and enjoyed a number of local attractions, and we were lucky enough to have a pack of wild turkeys nesting in the trees outside our windows almost every night! Hot tub is great, and the kids (and adults) really enjoyed the foosball table. I definitely recommend staying here!
