Charge your soul, charge your car! "A Shore Thing" is a beautiful, newly remodeled and updated three-bedroom, two-bathroom second row beach home with ocean views. Located in the Swan Lake subdivision of Surfside Beach just steps to the sand. Amazing water views from a large covered front deck, just a short walk to the beach. Shaded parking under the house. Guests can enjoy the charcoal grill and enclosed shower downstairs for rinsing off when you return from the sandy beach. Upgraded whole-house water filtration plus additional reverse osmosis (RO) faucet in kitchen.

** Guests can charge their cars here with the sought-after NEMA 14-50 outlet. (Please bring your charging cables.) ** There are 2 security cameras on the exterior of the home to cover the deck and underneath the home. They do not record audio and are installed solely for protection of property,

lovely and very quiet. So restful and relaxing. Some minor things I think you might want to be aware of. The floor in both bathrooms are lifting up, (maybe due to water?), the bathtub fixtures in both bathrooms need replacing, hard to take a shower, ants were noted in the silverware drawer, and loose boards on the steps up and handrails. Would rent again. Thank you.

This was one of my favorite stays, everything was perfect, the house was super clean, roomy and cozy, the host was amazing and very available. I would highly recommend, and we will def be back!!!

The house was very clean and put together amazingly. The walk to the beach was also better than driving up. We had a great time but some of the amenities weren’t too great. When we got there the A/C was on 73 degrees but the house literally stopped cooling with people inside and literally didn’t cool down until we left the house and went to the beach to cool down. They recommended the a/c not to be lower than 70 and we were sweating, I had 12 people with me. The water didn’t have a filter and the water was disguising. I recommend bringing everything you need especially utensils, they were rusted. Overall I give it a 8/10

The faucets in the baths are in pretty bad shape and difficult to function. They need to be changed. I also suggest cleaning to toilet tanks to remove scum; kind of gross to flush and see scum come out. Great kitchen and utensils. One dining chair is in disrepair with a broken bar that falls off.

June 20-25 Fanily Vacation

We had an amazing time staying here! They had everything we needed, and of course they told us what extra stuff to bring just in case. We had a week stay and it was a great time away! Only thing i suggest is bring extra bug spray for between the houses on the walk to the beach. The host always answered any time i had a question and was very nice. Thank you for letting us make this our home away from home!

Our stay was amazing, it’s was right in the middle of everything we did. The towels were the only thing, they were worn and dark stains looked like someone polished their boots. We loved the house and very well stocked. We want to rent for next year Great place!!

Beach view at an affordable price

You can see and hear the waves from the very spacious covered front porch. The only thing missing from the kitchen was garlic powder. The king bed was so comfortable and I really enjoyed my afternoon nap on the living room couch. The neighborhood is so quiet. There’s a little sandy opening on the dunes that you can walk across to get to the beach. I definitely recommend the house and we will definitely be going there in the future.

Clean spacious but water smell was horrible.

The house was clean and spacious. The only bad thing was the water smell and pressure was horrible it was a very bad smell to even wash your teeth we had to use water bottles.

Daughter Birthday party

We enjoyed our stay for the weekend. The house was very clean, great location. The rooms were very big and beds were comfortable. The only thing is that their were tons of roofing nails that we had to pick up so no one got hurt.

Cute House, too hot

The house is cute and very nicely equipped. Location right next to beach is excellent. We left a day early because we couldn’t sleep well- the AC couldn’t keep the home cool enough for indoor comfort. Maybe bring extra fans if you can. The mosquitos on the walk from the property to the beach were very intense- clouds of them. Maybe because of recent storms. I would bring lots of repellant. We were unaware that the local water situation was not potable. This house has a reverse osmosis system at the kitchen sink, which is a very nice feature. but had we known about the water ahead of time we would have been able to bring our own bottled as well.

Great location!

It was a quick weekend get away for my family and I. The house was the perfect size for all 11 of us. It was fully stocked with everything we needed. The best part was location! When not on the beach, we sat on the deck watching the waves come in. Even though the house sits on the second row you still get a great view of the ocean!

Pre Spring-Break break

What a great place to relax! The spaciousness of the cottage was a welcome sight. A large family area with lots of games and reading material. The porch has two picnic tables and lots of extra chairs. The kitchen is well stocked. We boiled snow crab and bbq’d hamburgers. Everything we needed was there. The beach is a short walk over the sand dunes. It is well kept and patrolled by local law enforcement. There was a large driftwood tree, just past the sand dunes, on the beach. It was the perfect place to set up our bonfire. If you forget anything, there is a convenience store up the road. They also sell fishing licenses and souvenirs. There are restaurants and a bar minutes away. Golf carts are allowed on the beach and there is a rental place nearby. Surf Side is so different from Galveston, much more family friendly and less crowded. It was a great weekend. My family really enjoyed themselves. We will be back.

Freeport Getaway

The house was very pretty and clean. Our favorite part was the open plan living room and kitchen area where we got to hang out and play games. We also loved how close the beach was. Everything was perfect and we were very happy with our stay.
