This home is located in Bass Harbor on the quiet side of MDI. This inviting 4-bedroom, 3 full bath home makes for a fantastic quiet destination. A cozy living room awaits you where you can unwind. With lots of windows you will feel like you are outside. Walk out either from the living room or the Master bedroom to a newly renovated deck area supplied w/table, chairs, and chaise loungers. The fully equipped kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, and all the necessary appliances (coffee maker, blender, toaster, waffle maker), invites you to make your own meals or bring take out back and enjoy meals with your family/friends.

Relax in comfort with smart TVs, challenge your loved ones to a game night, enjoy a puzzle or read a book or two. If you're craving some fresh air, step outside and gather around the fire pit, play some basketball, corn hole or just be in the spacious yard. The property was clean and we loved all the deer in the yard each day! We enjoyed our stay. Tina was very receptive when we sent a text asking a question. It was spacious which was good since it was two families traveling with two children under two.

This was a meticulously maintained home located on 2 acres of lovely wooded property. It was fuÄșly equiped including all kitchen supplies. We were pleasantly surprised to find a modest assortment of spices etc.This was one of only a few properties that we found that could accommodate our needs. We were a party of 2 married couples and 2 teenagers who needed separate bedrooms (four total bedrooms) with 3 bathrooms.The host was readily available by text or email for any questions that we had and was very responsive to them.Overall we had a delightful vacation and would give this property and the host a 5 star rating.

Perfect Place To Stay for Acadia Visit

Our family of 6 were very comfortable in this home. It had all the amenities we needed and the host was super helpful with local tips, etc. It is a short, easy drive to local attractions. Also a short walk to the nearby lighthouse. Peaceful property to relax inside or outside. Would definitely recommend!!

Peaceful, spacious retreat

Great rental! Our family of 5 had plenty of room to relax and we had everything we needed in a lovely setting. The house was clean and well stocked. There is plenty of deck space and we enjoyed sitting outside to enjoy the peaceful backyard. It was nice to be so close to the lighthouse and a few easy trails (Wonderland and Ship Harbor). The Seawall picnic area is close also and a nice place to take in the view. While the drive to other popular Acadia spots is about half an hour, that was fine with us and we were glad to be staying on the quiet side of the island away from the crowds. There are some good restaurants close by- Archie’s was the best for amazing lobster rolls and a nice setting! We had good communication from the owner and everything was smooth! We will recommend this place to others.

Very comfortable, restful house in great location

This house was perfect for our family group of 6 adults as we visited Acadia. Just minutes away from Bass Harbor Lighthouse, Wonderland Trail, great lobster restaurants. We enjoyed being on the "quiet side" if Mt Desert Island. But all the sights on the other side of the island were an easy drive and we were able to visit them, too. Loved the backyard firepit/chairs, bedroom configuration, well equipped kitchen. Everything was spotlessly clean. We visited during a spell of particularly hot weather and we did appreciate the house's fans. If you come during hot temps, you may wish to consider bringing additional small fans for comfort. We highly recommend this house for an Acadia visit, particularly since the host provided use of a park pass!

The property was beautiful and right outside of the entrance to the bass harbor lighthouse. Cute town about 10 minute drive and lots to do with Acadia national park so close!

Great for a family vacation!

Came up with our family of four plus my mother, great house with lots of room for everyone to have their own space. The porch is beautiful and we really enjoyed just sitting out enjoying the sounds on the quieter side of the island. There was even a family of deer who came through several times. Short walk to the Bass Head Light and right on the Island Explorer route.

Great location and wonderful house

The house was away from the crowds but close enough to be convenient. It was perfect for our multifamily group and really felt like we were in Maine. The house is in a quiet area with lots of woods and away from any crowds, but easy to get to the activities and places we wanted to visit. It was the perfect balance of the what we wanted for our Maine trip. It was family friendly, spacious, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again on our next trip.

Had a wonderful stay

Tina was the ideal host, helpful and communicative. We had a great time staying here. There was plenty of space for our grown family of five. It is a perfect spot for reading and relaxing, playing cornhole or basketball, watching the birds and wildlife in the yard, and as a base for for exploring Mount Desert Island. The house was very clean and comfortable and the free park pass was a nice touch. The Hansens store is close by for provisions, and Gotts is just a minute further (they also have pretty good pizza). We were only there for a few days but already have many good memories from this trip!

Best place ever

This property was clean and well maintained. There were five of us total and the place was big enough that we all felt comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates etc. Out of our five day stay we cooked in 3 nights. The beds were very comfortable (which can be a vacation breaker) the outside grounds were well maintained, and we even saw deer every day and a mother deer and her fawn playing in the yard. We were about 30 minutes from Bar Harbor which was just right for us. We can't wait to go back again and stay longer.

Perfect quiet house

This house is in a great location in a very quiet area but not to far for trips to Acadia and Bar Harbor. It also has the Bass Harbor Headlight within walking distance from the house. It is very spacious with 4 bedrooms and great basement.

Very nice home in Bass Harbor with lots of room To spread out. We enjoyed this spot so much last year that we stayed here again this year. Oh, and steaks and split lobsters over the wood fire out back! Glorious!

Une belle semaine oĂč nous avons pu alterner balades et temps de dĂ©tente dans la maison de Tina. Nous avons trouvĂ© de bons jeux de sociĂ©tĂ© et apprĂ©ciĂ© le panier de basket et le barbecue . Tout Ă©tait prĂ©vu Ă©galement pour notre petite fille de un an et c’était trĂšs agrĂ©able. Une biche et son faon vivent prĂšs de la maison. Quel plaisir de les admirer!

Private yet convenient

Nice location close to southwest harbor and the lighthouse. Private tranquil setting. Very clean with lots of room. Master has en suite and basement has separate bed and bath making it work well for us traveling and work colleagues. Good communication from a very kind host. Not far to the park at all - we went every day and stopped at milagro coffee on the way. Thanks, Tina!

I love the quiet of my home and the nature around me. Close to the excitement in Bar Harbor but far enough away to be out of the crazy busyness. I grew up and have lived here my whole life. I live here on the island's off season. I pay attention to detail and hope you find that true of the cleanliness of the home. I hope that you will enjoy this home and will want to come back to explore more of this beautiful island, and feel at home.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

This property is in a quiet neighborhood. You can walk to the Light house to catch a sunset or a quick drive to Seawall to watch the ocean waves and a sunrise. There are two, fairly easy, trails close by. This house is very functionable for 2 to 6 people and plenty of space to spread out and have your own place. The outdoor yard is big and has chairs to just sit and read a book or relax and just breathe. It is comfortable, clean and has a great back deck.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

You can often sit on the back deck and hear the lobster boats returning from their days catch. Catching a fresh salty breeze from time to time on a lounge chair is my favorite. Now you can see the ocean through the trees and catch the sunset as it sets in the sky. Your can walk and enjoy the lighthouse w/out the hassle of finding a parking place. Walk down around the town to see the ferry coming and going from Swans Island and enjoy a meal at a local restaurant. It has a split level to have separation between 2 small families. There are often deer that lay in the back, sometimes w/their fawns.
