Nice cheap place to stay if you don’t need much

It was a nice place to stay. Usually I prefer to have a full kitchen but this was fine for just a couple of nights. The property was very clean and close to two major grocery stores. I would definitely recommend renting a car if you’re staying here.

The room was great!! Very clean and it had everything that I'd need for my trip and more. You even get two beach chairs and a cooler to use during your stay. Downstairs there's a laundr-o-mat and great rates for laundry. I'd recommend it to everyone I know.

A sunning deck on the roof top woud be nice as there is no room for a pool 😄

Unit as pictured

Nice unit, easy check-in and instructions, would suggest having a car as taxis are a bit pricey. Found the property manager or whomever I communicated with post booking to be unfriendly.

Dear Aidel, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Just because we couldn't accommodate your request for an early check-in doesn't mean we were unfriendly. We aimed to be direct and respectful by informing you that check-in time is at 4 PM. Additionally, we provided you with a recommendation list to help you start exploring our island. In the future, when booking a vacation rental, you might consider adding extra days to your reservation for early travels. We appreciate your understanding and hope to host you again in the future. Best regards,

the location has nothing surrounded, you must need a car to get around. the parking lot is dusty and not enough parking at night. the washroom was not that clean, the shower has no water during "rush hours". I also saw some small bugs crawling inside the kitchen cabinate. However, consider the price was reasonable and service was ok.

Slightly Disappointed

Let me start by saying the property is exactly as pictured, and clean. It’s located in a convenient location. I loved the fact that we had a small stove stop for cooking and mid size refrigerator for groceries. Unfortunately, the electricity went out mid stay. I got up at 5:30am and began cooking around 6am by 6:15 the electricity went out and I was unable to continue cooking. As we all know this left us with no AC, or WiFi and while the problem was corrected in less than 5 hours all the food I had purchased and the food I was cooking had spoiled. I spoke with the property management company and although they own several properties apparently NONE have generators, which sucks. We were not given any options for service recovery, no a partial refund, stipend for future visits, NOTHING! Just a simple “there’s nothing we can do” Unfortunately, this caused me to lose a great amount of money on food. Therefore, having a kitchenette was pointless. I wanted to love this place!

Dear Tiara, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We kindly ask you to remember to mention that Aruba experienced a blackout on Sunday, January 21st, 2024. It's essential to understand that property management does not own the electricity company of Aruba; this responsibility lies with the government. We promptly informed you of this situation and provided evidence to support our claims. Despite any frustration expressed during our phone conversation, our host calmly listened to your concerns and provided information over the phone, as well as through text on VRBO. Even if we had availability, it wouldn't have made sense to relocate you to another property that also lacked electricity. This was explained to you during our conversation. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund for a situation that was beyond our control. If our building had internal issues causing inconvenience to our guests, that would be a different matter. Due to high demand, our property, Summer Sky, has been consistently fully booked since December, leaving us with no available studios to offer as compensation for the inconvenience caused by the blackout. It's not uncommon for electricity outages to occur in Aruba, typically happening at least five times a year, including blackouts. When visiting Aruba or any other destination, it's important to be mentally and physically prepared for such occurrences as they are a part of life on our beautiful island. We appreciate your recognition of our goals as a small local property management business managing over 53 listings since 2021. We acknowledge that there is room for improvement, particularly in implementing generators at all our properties. For a better experience in the future, we recommend considering booking a hotel that has generators. Thank you for supporting our small local business. Best regards,
