Plan your private getaway at Smokey Hideout. Enjoy the cozy cabin nestled in the woods conveniently located 10 minutes from both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and 15 minutes from The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Come back from a long day in the mountains to enjoy a fire at the fire pit. Finish the night off inside the cabin with a game of pool or ping pong. Perfect for a family getaway!
The Driveway is more on the steep side. Once you do it a few times youâll be a pro!
The host couldn't get the door lock situation fixed, and our family was locked out of the cabin at night. The cabin was no where near what we expected from the photos and the up keep is terrible. Dresser draws were broke and 2 lamps were broke as well upon arrival.. plus we couldn't even use the TVs in the bedrooms..and the stairs to the loft are dangerous..my daughter bust her knee coming down them cause they are to short to fully step on.
We had a great time in this cabin! Everything was exactly as described. Plenty of space for our family of six. It is a winding drive to get up to the cabin so be prepared for that, but the kids loved the adventure.
This cabin was perfect for our family while we were in the area. We saw a mama and 2 bear cubs right in the yard! The kitchen was perfect for cooking while still being with the family.
Let me start by saying the cabin is beautiful but the listing definitely needs to be updated! The fire pit area looks nothing like the pictures, no ping pong table (broken & stored in the closet) & small charcoal bbq. Before our arrival day I asked if we could possibly check in early. I was told they couldnât guarantee early check in because the cleaners might not be done, but they would let me know. When we arrived I was very surprised to find the front porch completely covered in wet slippery leaves. Upon walking in we were hit with a musty smell. As we walked through the cabin we were walking through spider webs. We found 2 spiders in the king bed and 2 upstairs in the twin beds. The king bed was broken and after reaching out to the host, due to the holiday they couldnât get a new one & told me not to use it ( one of the reasons we booked this cabin). The ping pong table was broken and stored in the closet (again a reason why we booked this place), the living room window was missing an entire curtain, rat traps & poison stored in the master bedroom closet along with extra stuff for the cabin so you really donât have space to put your stuff. Dresser draws were broken which limited us even more. Could definitely use a bigger more comfortable couch. The table couldnât even be used due to the front legs being bent in. The stairs up to the loft are very steep, the driveway is horrible. Definitely needs to be fixed and have more rocks added.
My friends and I had a wonderful stay at this property! The house was clean and the check in process was super easy. The beds were comfortable and the internet worked very well. The driveway was definitely an AWD/4 Wheel Drive situation but other than that the property was super cute and very comfortable for the weekend!
Truly a great price for what you get. Not the first time renting a cabin, so just know all is bare. Was happy with supplied equipment. The couch was small, but it worked. Pool table and ping pong was a fun time.
Our stay was excellent! Great communication with our host, and we had amazing recommendations for restaurants. The cabin itself was very clean and had all necessary equipment for our stay. The cabin is very rustic and such in a great place in the woods, we did had a couple of deer sightings.
No complaints at all about the property, cabin was nice and homey with everything you expect.
I would make sure you plan for the drive up the mountain and the driveway. We made the mistake of having dinner which led to us driving up the mountain at night, which I cannot recommend. If you are driving a sedan, youâre going to want to park at the top of the driveway. There is just enough room to park without going down the driveway.
Cabin was very secluded and quiet and was a great place for my kids to run around and play. We enjoyed the fire pit area. The cabin was not exactly like the pictures but it was still a nice place to stay. The driveway however was a doozy to get up and down. The kitchen is so nice and you have everything you need. The stairs up to the loft are not suitable for small children but the loft area is nice and cozy for bigger kids and even adults.
We had a great time in the Smokies, the drive was pretty, but the driveway was a little difficult to manage. Very steep and hard to see from the road as well as bumpy, hit the bottom of car several times coming up the drive.
