Very tastefully decorated Cottage with 2 Bedrooms, 1 1/2 Bathrooms with 2 separate Livingroom spaces to watch TV. Closed-in porch to play games. This Cottage is fully stocked with everything you need for a quick or long-term stay! Enjoy nature at its best right from your own private boat dock in your spacious back yard. If you like to FISH, this is the place to be!! Large outdoor Gazebo/deck with patio furniture and gas grill. Use the local boat ramp right down the road to hop into your boat to discover Tsala Apopka Chain of Lakes. Afterwards Park your boat at your own private dock. Just a short car ride to Historic Downtown Inverness where there are restaurants, ice cream shops, and Liberty Park or take a ride to Crystal River to kayak or see the manatees.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is super clean and pleasant. The furniture and beds are comfortable. Just about everything you need in the kitchen and bath. Plenty of shaded and sunny sitting areas outside. It is fun to sit on the dock and fish or enjoy the birds. Just know that there are two very slight steps indoors. Would absolutely return here in the future.

The dream lake house

Recommend eating at the Cove, which is less than a mile from this house. We even got to see a little alligator out about 15 foot from the dock.

Sweet spot

It was a very nice quiet cozy place. If you just need to unplug and relax like we did this is the place. We would love to come back again.

Perfect place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay once we finally got there.(flight cancellations and such) This is a great house. Plenty of room. Decorated nicely, clean, nice back porch, yard and dock. Very relaxing and I felt safe. The owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. I can’t wait to come back next year to visit. We will definitely stay here if available.

Great place!

Elena is an excellent host, her place is immaculately clean and could not have been better Also the town of Inverness has lots to do - Restaurants, Wine Bar, Sports Bar, Biking Trail, all within a short drive from her place - highly recommend staying there - next time I'll bring a Fishing Pole to fish off her Dock!

Cute waterfront cottage

We had a great stay at this cute waterfront cottage. Cottage had everything we needed to make for a very enjoyable stay. Loved the mix of antiques and beachy decor in the cabin. Beds were very comfortable! We loved watching the sunrise from the deck every morning! Cottage is very close to town for dining, shopping, and walking the Withlacoochee trail. Also close to Crystal River / Orlando and Tampa for day trips. We will definitely stay here in the future. Thank you Ellie for sharing your beautiful cottage with us!

Spring Break 2024

Had a great stay. Owners were very friendly and helpful. We were looking for a place that we could bring a boat and enjoy nature while also being close enough to big cities if we wanted. This location was pretty much directly between Tampa and Orlando and gave us the flexibility we were looking for. We saw tons of wildlife on the lakes and rivers and enjoyed ourselves greatly!!

Like this place

The house and surroundings were very clean and neat, every thing was well organized Elena and husband met us at public boat ramp and escorted back to the house, which was a big help in navigating the canal system the dock accommodated our boat nicely. It’s a very quiet area. Will stay here again.

Relaxed getaway

We stayed for the month of January. The cottage was perfect for the two of us. Very clean, central location to attractions and sights in the area. Shopping very close. Sitting in the sunshine on the back deck looking at the wildlife was a favourite activity. The host was excellent!! We enjoyed our stay very much.

A pleasant stay in a quiet neighborhood. The "cottage" is an older home with additions. An eclectic mix of current and antique furnishings, all very comfortable and accommodating. Exceptionally clean and well equipped from linens to kitchen. The large outdoor deck with gas grill and plenty of comfortable seating as well as a covered area facing the navigable canal with natural views made outdoor relaxing a high point. There is a nice new dock but due to the water level, was a bit too high to climb in or out of a small boat. The large yard is well maintained and parking was no problem. In summary, we thank the owners for the effort made to make this "cottage" such a great place to relax and unwind. And they obviously had fund designing and decorating! High recommended!

Birthday Getaway on the water

The house is close to town and several great restaurants. Very clean and nicely laid out with lots of space. Both bedrooms were very comfortable, two tv areas with big screens and screaming internet. My 18.5’ IO boat got through the canals going to the big lakes which are 21 miles of connecting lakes. Fishing and exploring are the best in the area.

The house was super clean. Very quiet neighborhood,easy access to property the description of property was everything was accurate if not exceptional. Excellent across the board

Communication with Ellie was seamless and quick response. Check in was a breeze. Didn't need communication after check in because everything was perfect. We thought it was very well appointed and cute inside. The amenities inside were very sufficient leaving us to want for nothing further. Beds are great quality and comfortable. The grill needed to be manually lit but burgers were good just the same. The outside was comfortable as well with the expansive deck and reclining chairs. The openness of the view was peaceful at night to relax to after running around each day. The sounds of nature abound here. Unfortunately, we were only able to Kyack out to the lake our last night. It was such a relaxing paddle through canals to get to lake but so relaxing. Hard to believe I know but no negative here. Did see 1 gator, no snakes. Our Golden was bummed because he couldnt dive off dock into water but he loved the HUGH yard and walks through quiet neighborhood. Thank you Ellie and Gary. Tom

This charming VERY CLEAN Lake Cottage is the perfect place to take your family. Enjoy the peaceful back yard with the beautiful views. Large deck with gas grill and patio furniture. Boat ramp minutes away and then dock your boat at your own private dock. Watch the birds and the wildlife right out your back door. Only minutes to historic downtown Inverness. Where you will find local Restaurants, Ice Cream Shops, Movie Theater, and local Pub. Visit Citrus County Website to see all events happening at the Liberty Park Depot. Every third Friday is the Antique Car Show. Every other Saturday morning is the flee market at the Park Depot.
Visit Liberty Park with its scenic views of Lake Henderson and the kids will love the large playground. Ride your bike or rent one from Dave's World cycle in Inverness to ride the 46-mile Withlacoochee State Park Trail. Your only 25 miles to Crystal River/Homosassa Florida. Visit with the Mantee's or rent a kayak!
