Great location

Like other reviews said the floor turned your feet black in the two spare bedrooms. Nothing available to mop it ourselves. The parking space was only for the size of a car not an SUV; however another car checking in swapped spaces with us so all was good. Staff were fantastic. Didn’t use the pool. Being right on the boardwalk, a huge plus! Although balcony repairs were to be done by the time we got there, they were not so we lost access to the balcony for a day and a half which was frustrating, but not the end of the world. All in all, a nice rental unit. Over priced, but nice

The Reality of Dolphin Run

THE GOOD: Spacious condo. Great view of the ocean. Updated bathroom, kitchen, appliances, and fixtures. Came with plates, cups, glasses, and a few pans for cooking. Very nice condo. THE BAD: Floor of condo was sandy when we arrived and there were many minor things that were in need of repair or replacement (blinds, ottoman, smoke detector, bathroom sink drain, AC unit filters, fridge water filter, balcony screen door, kitchen island light switch). Also, it's an old building in need of an upgrade. Building wifi is an absolute joke. I had a dial-up modem in 1998 that was faster. There were roaches on the balcony at night. Assigned parking spot that came with the unit was WAY too low for an SUV. Was basically told "oh well" by the staff when I asked what I could do. Indoor pool was gross. Super cloudy water and dirty. Ring of scum around the top tiles. I could go on but I won't. We dealt with the issues and had a nice time. I can't say that it was worth what we paid. We stay in VA Beach about four times a year. We like that part of the beach but sadly, we won't be staying at Dolphin Run again. The search for a regular place to stay when we visit continues.

For the outdoor enthusiast, Virginia Beach offers sports fishing charters, SCUBA and snorkeling, surfing and sailing for the beginner with expert instruction and rental equipment. Biking along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk and Back Bay National Refuge, hiking and watching wildlife at North River Landing Natural Area, and just hanging out at Oceanside make Virginia Beach a prime family vacation spot!
