Updated waterfront home, great manatee viewing, dock, 5 minute paddle to river!

Enjoy the water views from the screen porch or sit in the Adirondack chairs out on the dock (where you can also tie your boat). Paddle the crystal clear Weeki Wachee river in one of the 4 kayaks (one tandem, three singles) or canoe or paddle board - just a 5 minute paddle from the house. Swim off the dock in the canal or in the main river. We have a water mat you can lounge on off the dock. Excellent manatee, turtle, large water bird, and flying mullet viewing from the house. Large, open concept living room/dining area, well appointed kitchen, updated master bathroom. Fire pit overlooking water. Bike the quiet Weeki Wachee Gardens neighborhood on the 2 bikes provided. Great restaurants and breweries nearby. 10 minute drive to see the mermaids at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park and Buccaneer Bay Water Park. Easy day trip to Homosassa Springs State Park and Crystal River, or head south to Tampa/St. Petersburg. Or - never leave the tranquility of the house and our quiet canal!

We had so much fun staying here. The house itself was large, clean, and spacious with ample space to prepare and cook meals and barbecue. We also really enjoyed the screened in sunroom which was perfect for morning coffee and the large deck and patio space. The best part though was that the house came equipped with canoes, kayaks, life vests, fishing poles, bikes, and board games. It was just a short paddle to the Weeki Wachee River and we spent a lot of time checking out the many fishing spots nearby. Great for a weekend getaway.

The home was perfect, inside and out. The location was perfect also. The neighborhood was super quiet. It was exactly what we wantwd for a relaxing weekend on the river. We will definitely be back and highly recommend a stay there!

Host was excellent! They reached out to me even before the trip to let me know everything was ready and to see if I needed anything else. House was perfect. Very clean with plenty of amenities. This is an amazing place, we loved everything about it. We stayed for a 55th birthday celebration and the home was perfect. Upon arriving, we walked to the back water and admired the landscaping. The yard is private from the neighbors and beautiful. The outdoor sitting area and dock were perfect for a a quiet night by the water. The home is finished beautifully inside, spacious, and immaculately clean! A very nice kitchen, although we ate sandwiches and meals out, so we could enjoy more time outside on the screened porch and deck upstairs. The master bath has a great shower! We used the kayaks, canoe, and SUP to go up the river, which is within 5 minutes from the house via the canal. We saw Manatee at the dock in front of the house and on the river! The best thing about the house, a wonderful host! Looking forward to staying here again in the future!

Wir waren drei NĂ€chte im Haus und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Check-In verlief reibungslos. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, war sauber und alles was man benötigt war vorhanden.Wir hatten das GlĂŒck bei unseren AusflĂŒgen viele Manatees zu sehen.Wir können die Unterkunft auf alle FĂ€lle weiterempfehlen und wĂŒrden wieder kommen.

Perfect Oasis

Our group stayed for a small adventure but absolutely loved the family style feel of the place. The location was beautiful and we spotted manatees and crabs from the porch. It had great shopping nearby and wonderful restaurants, I recommend the hibachi. Honestly a great getaway if you're looking for a peaceful place surrounded by nature.

Great visit

We had a great time and even saw a couple of manatee while drinking coffee on the dock. Great accommodations with lots of amenities included to make our stay fun!

Just what we needed

This house had everything we needed! We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights here. We rode the bikes one day. Went kayaking from the dock and were lucky enough to see manatees. The beds are comfy and the kitchen is well-furnished. And the neighborhood is quiet except for the constant sound of birds!! :-) Thank you!

perfect stay on the river

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful stay in this comfy, well stocked home. We enjoyed the kayaks and bikes. Easy to bike around all the neighborhoods. Loved sitting in the morning on the screened in porch watching the mullet jump and in the afternoons watching the wood storks. The host quickly answered any questions I had. You can tell this is a well loved and cared for home. Wish we could have stayed a little longer.

Family vacation

Much needed vacation for newly retired dad, 2x cancer survivor mom and autistic son. Weather was great. Loved sitting in the screened-in porch every morning for breakfast while watching fish jump across the canal. Enjoyed taking out the kayaks for trips up and down the canals and on the river. Short paddle to Hospital Hole, Rogers Park and docking at the Upper Deck for lunch or dinner. Equal distance to two larger towns for the big-box shopping and dining but plenty of local eating establishments. About an hour to Tampa or St. Pete/Clearwater areas. Great trip and can't wait to plan next year!

We live in Virginia and balance our time between kids and work, trying to get to Weeki Wachee, Florida as frequently as possible. We love the outdoors and still can't believe the beauty of the Weeki Wachee river with its crystal clear waters and amazing wildlife. The swimming can't be beat and the manatees are truly magnificent! Our long term plan is to make Weeki Wachee our permanent home. Until then, we are happy that we can give others the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of this part of the United States.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We fell in love with Weeki Wachee, Florida in 2015 and have been coming back frequently ever since. We love the manatees and other wildlife in the neighborhood, paddling on the river, visiting the mermaids, and enjoying the great restaurants and breweries nearby. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are friendly, great for morning runs, bike rides and evening walks. It is a true escape and relaxing holiday!
