Fantastic place

My family and I just came back from a week and this house did not disappoint. We enjoyed all the space and spent so much time playing pool and watching movies in the theater room. This house is a huge steal for what you get and it's affordable and so close to everything. We're already looking for rates for the June 2026 season.

Couple problems

Overall the stat was good. The guest commode did not work (wouldn’t fill with water). This meant 6 adults using one bathroom. Lastly we found a few cixk roaches (not palmetto or water bugs). Thank you all.

Great stay!

House was just as it’s listed. Great amenities, but ping pong table is a little broken. Pool table is very dirty. Beds were comfy, place was clean but did see roaches… Neighborhood is quiet and friendly, close to beach and grocery store

Great OBX Getaway.

This is the fourth different spot we’ve used in the OBX, and it’s a keeper for sure. Easy access to beach, Watersports excursions, good restaurants, and the excellent local dog park. If you’re traveling with a pet (or even if you’re not) this is the place for you.

Great Value

Location was perfect, central to everything. Convenient to get in and out of neighborhood. House was spacious, well equipped, provided everything we could need and then some. Would definitely stay again.

I'll start with the positive. The game room and theater room was wonderful and a huge hit with the kids. They also truly loved the beanbags. There were plenty of beds to accommodate everykne and they were comfy. Now the negative. There were tons of roaches all around the outside and lower screened area. Fortunately none got inside (that we saw). But they really need to spray for roaches and spiders. There are huge cobwebs all around the outside, which needs seriously cleaned and doesn't look like its been done in years. The master bedroom had dust all over the headboard (the other may have too, I honestly didn't check). The master headboard was also very loose and you couldn't even turn over without it hitting the wall. The body wash container in the master bathroom shower was completely empty. The cleaning crew did not empty the dishwasher before we checked in, so we had to do that just so we could reload it. There was only 1 extra trash bag for a 5 night stay for several guests. The washer flooded the entire nedroom area downatairs that the laundry area is also located in. We had to soak up all the water in the very large room, roll up the area rug, call Vacasa, have a repairman come out to look at it. The lawn, which was very high, didn't get mowed until Thursday, the day before our departure. The house is nice inside and and did the job, but we stay in OBX often and this is not what we're used to for the money.

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed our short stay here. A nice peaceful place a little bit removed from the main road. Great beach access a very short drive down the road directly to the beach. Communication from the property manager was exceptional. Everything was easy and relaxing, exactly what we were looking for. Thanks!

Very comfortable

I am always concerned about the cleanliness of a vacation rental. However, this home was very clean upon arrival. The location was very convenient to the beach and shopping. We would definitely stay at this property again!

Weekend Trip

The property was just as advertised. Great central location, and very practical for a family. Added bonus is that our canine family member could stay with us. Came to the area for daughter's wedding, and it was a great place for us to congregate, and super close to shopping (neighborhood is behind Publix).

Amazing get away

Open and airt comfortable home to stay in for much needed break. Very quiet neighborhood can hear the water which is very relaxing. Only downside is we weren't able to use the fireplace as we wanted to since it was chilly. But overall a great time.

Kitchen supplies

The kitchen does not have enough plates, bowls, silverware and storage containers. I assumed it would have a regular coffee maker (most properties have a regular coffee maker and maybe a kurig). I had to run out for K cups. Other than that, everything was very nice. My son and grandkids live just down the street and they enjoyed visiting and playing in the game room.

Decent Location but not a home away from home

The location of the place was decent. It is about a 20 minute walk from beach access and 15 from a public sunset access. However, the house was not a home away from home. The queen bed that my husband and I tried to stay on sagged in the middle so badly that we ended up sleeping on the couches. The kids' beds were essentially a piece of foam and wouldn't hold an adult's weight. The kitchen amenities were very basic and even lacked a pizza tray and cutter. We also had to supply our own k-cups which was disappointing. If many families stay, it would also be a good idea to supply a baby safety gate for the stairs.

Last minute booking

I should start by saying that this was a last minute booking and needed to be a dog friendly stay. Property is in a very good location with grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Access to the beach is only .08 miles away and can be walked if needed. Would rate this a 5 start property if a couple of issues would be addressed. The kitchen was overrun with ants. All food needed to be put in the fridge or microwave to keep them out. Cans of ant spray under the sink lead me to believe that someone is aware of the issue, but it needs to be addressed. Dishwasher was full of dirty dishes and needed to be ran when we arrived. This did not help with the ant problem. Not all beds were made. Enough sheets and bedding placed out, but we had to make our own beds. Remotes do not work with the TV’s. Only able to get 1 tv working enough to watch. This was a short stay so it was not a major issue, but would not want to spend a whole week without some type of tv. No extra trash bags. We had to purchase our own trash bags for the 2 days we were there. Property looks like it is getting a remodel. Was more than big enough for the 5 of us. Cheaper than most other options especially for a last minute trip. Communication was wonderful and everything was handled via text message. I would stay again if I knew these issue were resolved.

DIRTY HOME

Upon checking-in, it quickly became evident that the property had not been properly cleaned before our arrival. The first thing that hit us was the strong odor that lingered throughout the house. Bags of dirty linens and towels from previous guests were left scattered on the porch, creating an unwelcoming sight. The trash cans were overflowing, and the floors were covered in dirt and grime, making us hesitant to walk barefoot anywhere inside the property. The bathtubs were in poor condition, with visible hair and soap scum, making them unusable until we could clean them ourselves.In disbelief, I immediately informed the management company about the dire state of the property and sent them photos as evidence of the uncleanliness we encountered upon arrival. It was highly disappointing to find the dishes put away in the cupboards dirty, as though no attempt had been made to ensure a hygienic environment for incoming guests.I requested a refund for the cleaning fee (NO REFUND OR CALL BACK), considering the inconvenience we faced, and I had to spend my time and money purchasing cleaning supplies just to make the place habitable. My experience at this property has left me feeling disappointed and disheartened. A vacation is meant to be a time of relaxation and enjoyment, but instead, I had to spend it dealing with unclean surroundings and unresponsive customer service.
