This was the perfect property for a quiet weekend away to reconnect with my adult children! The lake gave us plenty to do: kayaking, fishing, and just sitting with a cup of coffee, enjoying the gorgeous view. The house itself was a perfect, cozy size that naturally brought us together. The location is great: close enough to town to grab pizza or ice cream and find a fantastic hike in a nearby state park, but far enough off the beaten path to feel peacefully rural rather than touristy. The house reminds me of an old-time bed and breakfast, filled with little notes from the host and precious details that make you feel welcomed and pampered. It was perfectly clean and stocked with everything we needed. Best of all, the hosts were incredibly responsive. Every time I messaged about a minor detail, the reply was immediate. For instance, the house only has one toilet, which was running a bit slow from the time we arrived. When it started getting too slow, I messaged John, and that very day he had someone out snaking the lines! While the toilet remained a little slow for the rest of the trip, the host's response was anything but. He was right on top of everything. I'm super grateful for the weekend with my kids, and I highly recommend this place for a quiet, cozy getaway by the water!
