Unit B, Spirit of Folly, Pet Friendly, 2 short blocks - 100 yards - to the beach

Welcome to the "Spirit of Folly", a vacation rental that embodies the long history of the Folly Beach community. This tri-plex, 2 short blocks (100 yards) to the beach and 5 blocks from restaurants, bars, and shopping, was built in the mid 20th century and renovated in 2022. The two-bedroom one bath unit has two luxurious king beds and an expansive backyard with classic old oaks providing shade. For a more spacious shower (small shower inside) use the enclosed outdoor shower behind unit C and shared by both units. Walk out the back yard for direct access to the City Park, with a playground, tennis & basketball courts, and a dog park. The unit boasts a full kitchen and multiple off-street parking spots (front and back). Please note you will need to navigate two steps down to access the property. Not enough room? Rent Unit C to double the size. Owners live upstairs.

Meg was great, the place was perfectly clean, sticked with basic necessities. Proximity to everything was perfect, the dog park right behind the house was an amazing bonus. This was a last minute trip and i appreciated the simple and uncomplicated nature of the whole stay. I will definitely come back.

This is the perfect little spot. Walking distance from everything. Comfortable and quiet just a couple blocks from the beach. We'll be back.

This is a great place to stay in Folly! Spotlessly clean, great a.c. and very comfortable beds. A very easy walk to the beach and quiet neighborhood. Meg was super accommodating. Couldn't ask for a nicer host! We will definitely be back!

A trip we'll remember for a lifetime!

We stayed here from June 18-22, 2025 and absolutely loved it! The unit is very spacious, with 2 large bedrooms, a large, well-stocked kitchen, and a nice living room. It was very hot and humid while we were there and the A/C worked very well and kept us nice and cool the entire time.The location is very good too. It's only a 5 minute drive into town, or about a 15-20 minute walk. It's also about a 5 minute walk to the beach and there's a beach access path right next to the house.The last thing I want to mention is the real reason why we (I specifically) chose this place to stay. I proposed to my girlfriend on this trip! I wanted to make sure that we had an affordable, nice place to stay that was in close proximity to both the beach and town. This unit went above and beyond both of our expectations and we can't wait to stay here again in the future!

Awesome, comfy, easy walk to the beach! Check out Bert’s Market for anything you need! Grab a frozen drink at the many local bar/restaurant options. Host was always available and very welcoming! Outdoor shower is not to be missed!

Our friendly hostess made check-in process seamless and communication was easy and efficient throughout.The space was exactly as advertise located in a cute neighborhood with ample parking and very convenient walk to the beach and downtown. Folly Beach July 4th holiday

Owners were very accommodating, friendly and welcoming. Anything we needed they were extremely helpful and from all the times we've used VRBO, they were our favorite host. They offered to replenish all the paper products, soaps, etc if we ran out and even brought us done some of their personal kitchen items to use while cooking. Will definitely stay there again if we go back to Folly Beach! Less than 2 blocks from the beach and 4-5 blocks down to all the retail stores/restaurants around Center St. so not a bad walk. My 7 yr old was fine walking most of the trip but we did rent a golf cart for 3 days for something fun and different while there.
