Spacious home in Rumbling Bald/Apple Valley with access to all amenities (Sandy Beach on Lake Lure, Indoor and Outdoor Pool, Lazy River, Putt-Putt Golf, Tennis Courts, Basketball Court, Pickleball Courts, Exercise Facility, (2) Pro Golf Courses, and Pro Shop & Restaurants. The upper level offers stepless entry, a living room, seated dining, a king bedroom with a bathroom that has a stepless shower. An adjoining queen bedroom, and an ensuite king bedroom all on the main level. There is a comfortable deck off of the main level with a gas grill and plenty of seating for visiting. We also have a rollable outdoor TV (for those sports fans and such). Enjoy overlooking the private wooded area off the deck and spot some wildlife like deer and turkeys. Downstairs are 2 additional bedrooms, (1) queen and (1) 2 twin beds. There is also a playroom with a twin bed and a single twin bunk bed. This house features a large recreation room on the lower level with an 82” TV, arcade basketball, air hockey, Pac-Man and Simpsons video games. There is also corn hole outside of the lower level and a firepit area. This beautiful resort home has 6 bedrooms, 3 baths, and can sleep 10 comfortably (occupancy is up to 14). Its open floor plan and 2 levels make it convenient for a group and equally nice for families traveling together. There are lots of trees, and nature abounds with this lovely property. You'll find plenty of outside deck and patio spaces to enjoy the outdoors. Please Note *** There are 8 guests passes for the Rumbling Bald amenities. Additional passes will need to purchased if needed. The cost per extra pass is $10 a day per person. 12 years + requires a pass. Please contact before arrival so extra passes can be ordered. (Non-members/No Guest Passes for Rumbling Bald) are allowed to eat at restaurants, go to salon, spa, and play golf at the resort. (These are open to the public.) Chimney Rock State Park is a short drive about 24 minutes from the from the house.

Wonderful Family Retreat

We very much enjoyed our time at this home. The kitchen was stocked with every appliance you can think of and the playroom even had toys and games for the little ones. The amenities at Rumbling Bald were great for families and we had a fantastic time!

The host were quick with responses, very accommodating, and friendly! The house was stocked with anything and everything you need. If you have kids, this is the place to stay. My daughter had so much fun with all the toys and video games downstairs, and my 91 year old grandma had easy access to the first floor and porch. We will cherish the memories we made here for a life time.

Outstanding family reunion vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay while vacationing at Lake Lure. The house was clean and well maintained and stocked with everything we needed. The owners were easy to contact and helpful when necessary. Highly recommend!

Ample space for two couples and a small family. Traffic flow from downstairs to up for gathering required going outside or through a bedroom, a bit awkward. Young children enjoyed VERY kid-friendly space downstairs.Kitchen stocked well.

Thank you for staying with us. Yeah, I had to make the decision of making a king bedroom suite OR make it a “family room” per se … thought king bedroom was more beneficial. I typically stay in that king bedroom to eliminate the awkwardness you mentioned.

Wonderful House

I have stayed in many rentals but this house was the best in all categories I have ever stayed in. Every necessity was provided from 2 yr old to teens. There was something to keep every age group happy. It was Perfect. I will definitely be back.

Labor Day Getaway

Outstanding property for our family. Perfect layout for us, two adult children with spouses and their five children. Children loved the games on the lower level and the zip line swing. Dinning table worked for all of us to eat together. Extra bonus having Rumbling Bald amenities. Will stay again! 👍👍

We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed getting away to the mountains with our family. We chose this home for the space and amenities, and it absolutely delivered. The layout worked perfectly for a family trip — the basement was the kids’ favorite spot, and they spent hours down there enjoying all the toys and games. Meanwhile, the upstairs was spacious and comfortable, giving the adults a great place to relax and unwind.The home was mostly great, though it could use a bit more attention to cleaning. We ended up re-washing the dishes we used and some towels, and noticed a few dead bugs under furniture and near doors. That said, it’s a house in the middle of the woods, so nothing felt extreme or unexpected.Overall, this was a great place to disconnect, enjoy nature, and spend quality time together. We’d definitely recommend it for families looking for space, amenities, and a relaxing mountain setting.

I’m not sure why towels weren’t clean or there were dishes that needed to be rewashed … sometimes guest will wash linens or dishes and not really pay attention to the details and just put them away. annual family gathering after Christmas

Everything was as expected....we played games, went to Community Center to swim, play tennis, play basketball and pickleball, played putt put in cute town. Shopped a little. 73-8 years had a wonderful time! 13 of us.

Great

It was a great experience, the cabin was very clean. Each room was decorated well and was up to date. The back deck was also clean and had a nice view of the woods. The house is setup great for larger families or multi families especially if you have teenagers. We really enjoyed our stay at Lake Lure and had fun at the Rumbling Bald Resort where we spent time in the lake and on the beach. There’s plenty to do in the area as well and would recommend doing the boat tour late in the day. The property manager was extremely responsive and shared a lot of great Information about the house and the area. I would definitely recommend this cabin and we look forward to coming back again.

Spacious home

Was a great house with alot of space. Large furnished basement with large TV perfect for watching sports etc. Centraly located to great reastraunts and golf courses.
