Family Vacation

We had a great stay at Melvins Retreat. The property, layout, and amenities were outstanding. This is the perfect spot for exploring Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and other attractions in the area. I would highly recommend this property and would definetly stay here again.

This place was fantastic! I cannot say enough about how clean and well stocked the hose was. In a quiet natural setting, it was nice to come home to every day. It was about 20 minutes into West Yellowstone but the drive was easy. Yellowstone was great but coming back here every day made this a wonderful vacation for my family.

We stay at a lot of rental homes and this one was perfectly stocked, clean and beautiful. We all enjoyed Melvin and took a group photo with him before we left.

Property is clean and well kept with most amenities you would have at home. Host communicates extremely well and checks in to ensure home was accommodating. Not far from West Yellowstone. Would stay here again for sure.

Loved the property! We brought our 2 sons and their wives, everyone had their own space. All amenities were thought of and supplied. The house was very organized and very clean. Beautiful home and very comfortable.

Where do I start?The house is absolutely beautiful. You can definitely tell that it was recently built. So many areas for people to hang out. Upper living room, living room down in the basement. Extremely well stocked more so than any other vacation rental I have ever stayed at. So porcupine in the front yard mule deer in the backyard. Hot tub was a great amenity. Would stay here again without a doubt. beds were comfortable and just the whole place was perfect for our large group of 11 adults.

Yellowstone Adventures

This place is awesome! I have stayed in several other rentals and this is by far the nicest place I have ever stayed. The house had plenty of room for the family to spread out and relax. The location was extremely quiet and peaceful. The house was extremely well cared for and exceptionally clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. If you are looking for a quiet place in nature, this is it. The road to the house is a dirt road but it is well maintained and easy to navigate. We will definitely stay there again if we go back that way.

Best location for visiting Yellowstone!

This property is amazing. Everything in the house was perfect. Not only was the house beautiful, it had all the amenities to have a great stay. It was very chilly in the mornings but we never felt cold because each room had a separate heater.

We loved this house. It was a great location to Yellowstone. It was the perfect size, very roomy and spacious. It had everything you needed. It’s nice and new. The beds are very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Very clean and spacious. The outdoor fire pit was a nice addition for s'mores one night. This was a perfect house for a family gathering. Close to Yellowstone and had everything we needed to be comfortable and felt really nice for a cabin experience.

Perfect get a way

We had 6 adults stay at the property. It was everything we hoped it would be. The house has all of the kitchen items we could have needed. We were able to have our own individual space. Loved the foosball table. We played it every night. The location to Yellowstone was perfect. We used the grill one night for dinner. We also saw some wildlife early in the morning right from the front door. Would highly recommend!! And would absolutely stay here again if came back to the area

Perfect stay for Yellowstone

New and clean, exceptionally comfortable, roomy, and well stocked. Off the beaten path in a quiet and gated rustic foothills community surrounded by mountainous scenery. About 25 minutes from the West gate and West Yellowstone. Family loved it! Bring in initial groceries. Only recommendation to the hosts would be provide bottled waters or snacks/fruit for guests as we arrived very late from Bozeman airport due to delays and had trouble finding anything open other than the gas station. Will stay again!

Excellent Stay

I was traveling with three family groups and this property was perfect! There are privacy options as well as great communal space. We never felt like we were on top of each other without a retreat. Finding a place can be challenging given personality types in my group that require extreme cleanliness and order, and Melvin's Retreat hit EVERY need and wish. Location was fabulous to visit Yellowstone. Communication was stellar. I have stayed at a local nice hotel when I have come solo to the area in the past, but would seriously consider paying the extra in the future for a couples getaway. It truly is one of those places. Debated slightly less expensive places for this trip, but glad I followed my gut to book this one!
