Great Stay

This property is beautiful. Was SUPER close to the beach (walking distance). Having two kitchens was a great help with a family of 20. The bedrooms were perfect. The only thing I would have changed is the sharing of the bathrooms. Could use at least one more bath. I would defiantly stay here again!!!!!

50th Birthday Weekend

This house is very beautiful, spacious, and extremely clean. The two kitchen areas were perfect for our party of 13. We had plenty of space to cook and gather for large dinners. The house was very current, beautiful furniture, and again, very, very clean! It had everything we needed with a quick 2-minute walk to the beach. Will definitely return to this home!

Great Post COVID Family Vacation.

My family was able to get together after being separated due to COVID. This house was in a great location. My son and nephews were able to golf; the younger kids enjoyed the pool immensely and there was plenty of room to spread out and read by the pool. The house was super comfortable and we had everything we needed. Being a 1/2 block away from the beach was awesome having little ones. House pictures are accurate and house was super clean.

Awesome Family Vacation

The Atlantic chill property was just as yes as described. We spent a week there for a family vacation celebrating 2 milestone birthdays. We had 26 people there for a couple of days and it was very comfortable. Loved having 2 kitchens and 2 living room and the private pool (only things I would add would be umbrellas in the pool area for a little more shade). The kitchens were well stocked and we cooked and grilled several days. Comfortable furniture and beds. One and a 1/2 blocks to the ocean gave everyone what they were looking for in a vacation.

Wonderful Property - Fantastic Stay

This property is everything it's described to be. The pictures don't do it justice. The house and outside pool area are just as described. There was a grill - which made outdoor cooking easy. Laundry room was downstairs (by pool) which made it easy to throw towels and clothes in while we relaxed by the pool and cooked. Short walk to the beach. Just wonderful. Highly recommend.

N Myrtle Family Vacation

The property was clean and comfortable. Having 9 bedrooms and multiple baths was great. The highlights of this house are the pool area and close proximity to the beach. There were a few negatives as well including low water pressure, unreliable internet and tv, staircase to the second level that was accessed thru the master bathroom, no recreation room in the house. We have been coming to N Myrtle for over 60 years. I would rate this property an 8.5 on a scale of 10.

I guess I didn’t realize that when you rent both units in order to get to the top floor, you have to go through the master bedroom and bathroom on the first floor We just told everyone if the doors are closed, use the outside stairs it really wasn’t a big problem

First Family Post Covid Get-together

We stayed at this house with our six children and their spouses and all of our grandchildren age 11 months to 17 years old and we had a wonderful vacation. The layout of the house was perfect. We did not at anytime feel crowded. The pool area is wonderful and big enough for everyone too spread out and the different age groups of grandchildren to be together without issues. The bedroom/bed layout worked for the 7 different families we had. And this house met the parking challenge we ran into trying to find a house to accommodate us. We had 8 vehicles parked at the house comfortably and still had sitting area under the house. We appreciated the washer and dryer for washing towels and clothing from swimming. We purchased the linen package and it was worth it. Both kitchens were fully furnished as well, so cooking was a breeze. We were right across the street from the beach so we just walked over there any time. I would highly recommend renting this home for your family get together/ vacation. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful home with a roach problem

The home we stayed in was a beautiful home. It was in an amazing neighborhood. The home was beautiful and had great furnishings and amenities. We booked the home for my daughter's graduation. But then my sister put food in the downstairs kitchen and out came the roaches. We were shocked that a place as lovely and well kept had that kind of problem. We emailed the homeowner and let her know about the problem. She answered that in the SC climate they were Palmetto bugs and normal for the type of climate. And that if we weren't satisfied with the accommodations we could get our money back and find other accommodations the next morning. The fact that we were a party of 12 and children would have made it rather difficult to find lodgings at such short notice, I did not make waves. So we did what we could to make it better. At our own expense we bought insect spray and bug traps. We were extremely careful when putting out food and made the best of the situation. We kept the counters wiped down and we served most of the food Al Fresco. The guests that came never knew. But we did. My daughter's graduation dinner was a success but no thanks to the homeowner. They were not Palmetto bugs but common household cockroaches and in a home that nice it marred an otherwise great family event! Our family has stayed in many Airbnb's in the South. Primary Renter

This house was beautiful, but infested with roaches. I am from New Jersey and I know the difference between a roach and a "palmetto" bug. It was so bad, that I looked up palmetto bug just to ensure I was not looking at a bug that was so similar to the roach that I may have been mistaken. This is what I found: There is no different between a palmetto bug and a cockroach. Palmetto bug is simply a regional term used to refer to specific types of cockroaches. ... The name is normally used for cockroach species that like to live both indoors and outdoors. The American cockroach is one species often referred to as a palmetto bug. We were killing roaches (Palmetto bugs) as soon as we walked in the door. I called the owner and she said, "you are leaving on Sunday, so I am sorry I cannot get anyone in the house until Monday." No, I will refund you or even a reschedule for a better experience! Every person who stayed there (5 of us) were over 40, so we went to the store and brought roach spray and fought roaches all weekend! Horrible, horrible!!! Beautiful house, uncaring owner, roach infestation for days!!!! Oh yeah, they were even crawling from under the refrigerator! My Sorority Sisters all have requested to write a review on this house as we all pitched in to pay for it and we were not expecting the other house guest. So sad.....

Reviews like this are disheartening when we work so hard to provide guests with a beautiful home to enjoy as noted from the multiple five star reviews on this property. To address this issue head on, the facts are as follows. Guests checked in early on Thursday afternoon. On Friday evening around 8pm, I had my first contact with them indicating they saw a bug and the house was “infested”. I asked to come over that night or in the morning to see what the problem was first hand and was denied access. I always want to remedy anything that a guest has an issue with immediately. But if you don’t allow me to come see first hand what the issue is, I can not take it seriously. As you can see from the review, the remedy for this situation was not to eliminate any bugs, but a rather a refund or further vacation time in the property. I think the larger issue at hand is that this guest was very upset I would not allow them to cancel their booking the week prior to check in. Infestations simply don’t crop up overnight. Why did they not contact me immediately upon arrival?? I can clearly and without any hesitation say we do NOT have an infestation. If I did, it would be resolved immediately. We DO have Palmetto bugs like all other homes in the area. I am in this home regularly and know exactly what the condition of this home is. I would certainly know if it was infested with bugs! This guest should have also mentioned in all of their research that Palmetto Bugs do not infest homes but seek shelter inside from heat, extreme cold, or moisture. These bugs will ALWAYS be on the interior and exterior of homes on the oceanfront. They are an environment issue. I will suffer with this review because I refuse to be blackmailed into allowing guests to stay in a property and receive a full refund. If future guests have a question about the status of our home and any “bug issues”, feel free to message me directly.

December Stay

The property was absolutely beautiful. The pictures were very accurate and we had a wonderful time. The two kitchens allowed us to do more, stay separate but still together all in one house. Property owner was very helpful came to property to assist with tv issues. A couple of the TVs were not hooked up to the tv provider nor a smart tv, so only 3 rooms didn’t have functioning TVs. Th next issue we were not okay with was the BUGS. First night we only saw one little roach but then the other two nights after little baby and medium sized roaches were everywhere. The lower level seemed to be were all the roaches were at. The kitchen, the bedrooms and the bathroom. We were really uncomfortable because of them roaches. Other than the bugs the property was beautiful.

I am a bit stunned by this review. I was in the house multiple times to handle guest issues. All of our tv's have either smart capability OR Spectrum cable access. These guests did require me to go and help them with television access. EACH and EVERY tv was working as advertised as either a smart tv OR with cable access when I left the home. What is extremely puzzling is why "bugs" were never mentioned to me AT ALL during my many trips to this property? If I checked into a vacation rental that had "them roaches" everywhere, I would immediately call the owner or rental company and leave. Who would stay in that situation? Yet, I heard nothing of the sort (also saw no bugs). What I did witness while at the home with these guests, was one traveler who had "fake plastic roach bugs" who put a few out to scare another guest. I find it interesting that someone would have fake plastic bugs in their possession on a trip? But to be clear, we do have Palmetto Bugs like ALL other homes in the area do. If bugs make you uncomfortable, please go to the mountains. A home fifty yards from the oceanfront on the marsh is not for you. We have bugs, spiders, salamanders, snakes etc. For these guests to be so concerned about bugs, they seemed to have no regard for not bothering to use any sheeting on the beds which required us to literally launder every bit of mattress and pillow protection coverings. Absolutely vulgar.
