Leonard’s peaceful place

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Beautiful brand new home in a peaceful setting surrounded by trees. Two miles from downtown Decorah, close to Topling and Goliath Brewery. A fun place for the family.

We are on 8 acres, there is a large deck off the family room with a large grass area, good for horse shoes and corn hole or a pool
For the small kids. Very peaceful and lots of room.

As usual, the house is perfect for a family weekend. Everything in the house was very clean except there were way too many lady bugs in the upstairs suite. I strongly recommend spraying 24 hours before any guests arrive. They were on the bed, in the shower, all over the ceiling, etc.

Spectacular

This place is a true gem and the hosts are wonderful including leaving us a homemade treat to enjoy on our trip! The pictures don't do it justice, they have thought of everything. The place was so comfortable and the blankets so cozy. It fit our family perfectly and was just outside of town. We had a great fire in the firepit and enjoyed the large table to gather and play games. One thing I loved was that there were plenty of paper towels, toilet paper and garbage bags! There is already so much to bring with on a weekend getaway for biking and hiking that it is nice to know when we return we can leave a few things out because they literally think of everything you could possibly need. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this stay! Again a true gem! We will be back and recommend this to everyone!

Family Trip

We were in town for a couple of days and Leonard's Place was great. This home is extremely clean, the kitchen is well stocked, small details like fresh flowers, coffee pods, etc. make you feel right at home. You can tell this home is well cared for. It's only a couple minutes to Decorah. We grilled, enjoyed the fire pit, relaxed and star gazed at night. We even saw some shooting stars! I would absolutely stay here again and there are two full bathrooms which was a nice surprise as the listing I believe only showed one. All in all a fantastic stay.

Stayed here with our kids and grandchildren. The house is close to Decorah yet in a quiet location. Everything we needed in the house was provided. Lovely house, great location. Would definitely stay again! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Leonard's Place - Decorah, IA

The offering was exactly what we were hoping for. Private and secluded, but easy access to nearby Decorah and activities. This home and property have been kept in impeccable condition. We slept 8 individuals comfortably. If we are ever in the area again, Leonard's Place will definitely be booked. Thanks for everything!

Winter wonderland

We were in town for the Christmas at Luther program. We were traveling with my husband’s parents and it was really nice to be together instead of in two hotel rooms. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and it was a nice open space with the kitchen, eating area and family room area. It was so relaxing to stay here!

Beautiful down to every detail

Such a relaxing getaway. Aesthetically pleasing decor down to every detail. Clean and fresh. Woodsy outdoors with balcony off of master bedroom and deck off of living room. If you like taking a morning walk, take a right out of the driveway for a gorgeous hilly hike. You will pass a couple of lovely farm places and a quarry.

Family Gathering

We had a family get together with 6 adults and 4 toddlers/infants. The house was very comfortable in an enjoyable setting in the country but close enough to town to be convenient. We enjoyed our stay very much and would consider staying here again.

Luxurious!

Wonderful stay! Bedding and linens in upstairs bedroom were so luxurious I didn’t want to get out of bed! Such a beautiful setting and so much to see and do in the Decorah area. House was immaculate and everything was absolutely perfect!

Family Reunion

We had an amazing stay. Our family of 8 (6 adults and 2 children) felt right at home. The house was clean and had everything we needed from linens to dishes, pots and pans. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and gathering. I will look this place up again for our next trip to Decorah.
