We were delighted with the property and location. Our hosts were very gracious and timely in their communication. Dolly’s Place was spotless and spacious. The kitchen was beautifully renovated and fully equipped. We loved evenings on the porch and enjoyed a pleasant picnic dinner there one night. The close proximity to Decorah’s charming downtown and a grocery store was a real blessing. Off street parking was also appreciated.This was a perfect locale for our family reunion!

Great little place for a weekend in Decorah. The home is so spacious and conveniently located near everything downtown to be able to walk. The hosts were very responsive and answered all of our questions. The kitchen had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this rental.

Luther Homecoming Weekend Stay

We loved staying here! I rented the home with 4 friends who had gathered for our 30th college reunion. Check-in and check-out was amazingly easy and the location is prime…short walking distance to all the cute downtown shops and restaurants. Would absolutely stay here again on a future trip!

Girls week

We all loved it and can’t wait to plan another trip to the area. The property was exceptionally clean and adorable, close to downtown so we did a lot of walking, shopping and eating. The place felt like home and owners were great, exceeded all expectations!

Our group consisted of six (nearly 70 y.o. but able to take the stairs) high school friends now living in four different states who came to Decorah for the purpose of catching up with one another and seeking the feeling of "being at home" (like in the olden days when we were growing up) while being away from home. Dolly's Place met and exceeded our expectations!! Note the "Five Star" (Excellent) ratings given for cleanliness, ease of check-in (VERY), host communications (SUPERB), and price appropriateness for all that was offered - including the neighborhood setting (SO PLEASANT) and the convenience of being able to walk to the downtown area (only a couple blocks).Favorite moments: Being able to prepare food (kitchen was well-stocked) and serve it on a lovely dining table large enough for all the food AND for the six of us to gather around. AND sitting on the front porch well into the evening - comfortable chairs and convenient side tables for beverages. This is a property that has an old-fashioned charm (and clearly lots of "good energy" infused) with all the modern updates. The group agreed that it would be their first choice for a future stay in Decorah.

Great location, beautiful hpuse!

Dolly’s was the perfect place for my family together, all from different areas. The house is beautiful, with the front porch to drink coffee on and the back patio with a lot of room for people to hang out on. Location is perfect for every place. You would want to go in Decorah. We loved our stay, and will be back!

Great fall weekend in Decorah

Dolly's place had everything we wanted for a family weekend in Decorah. Walking distance of downtown, plenty of space, all the amenities, etc. Our day usually started and finished on the wonderful front porch talking with friends and family. Bruce was great and would definitely stay there again.
