Welcome to the Rivermist Retreat! A 4-season retreat for the outdoor enthusiast. The perfect spot to unwind and connect or reconnect with family and friends surrounded by nature. The large dock is steps away from the cottage, perfect for enjoying your favorite beverage on, while watching the morning mist float by you or the incredible night stars way above. The clean river is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast, enjoy weed free swimming or grab a kayak, a canoe or a float so you can see all that the river has to offer.

From the first interaction, Jonny was quick to respond and clear instructions for arriving and departure of the property. The cottage had every amenity we could need and was perfect for our family Christmas (2 adults,4 children) We are already talking of returning in summer!

We had a fabulous time here! Checking in, this was the cleanest vacation rental I've ever seen. The place is just like the pictures (if not better). Within an hour, my kids were asking if we can come every year. We used the watercraft (mostly canoe and kayaks), lawn games, and the board games. Plenty to do, nobody was bored, and also plenty of different spaces to hang out in case someone wanted to be alone. The river is perfect for swimming. No weeds, clear water and you can even swim upriver with floaties and then drift down it. Johnny was communicative, available, and responsive. Would absolutely stay here again.

The family had a great time at this beautiful cottage. Host has thought of everything. Check in and check out was so easy and the cottage was so clean and kitchen fully stocked. We loved the dock and swimming in the river was amazing. We will definitely be booking again.

Property was very clean, and well equiped. Beds were comfortable and boardgames abundant. River was great for swimming and kayaking. Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Firepolit was great for campfires and roasting marshmallows.

Perfect Relaxation Location

Beautiful location along the river, quiet and private. Close to stores for supplies. Kitchen fully stocked will everything you need to cook a variety of foods but the great BBQ and Blackstone are where the cooking's really at. Lovely inside the cottage, beds are super comfy. When it rained there was tons of games to chose from, good wifi and a great TV with steaming services. Outside is the best place of all, the deck, the dock, the fire pit. So many places to just relax. The water was wonderful to swim in and paddle boarding was attempted. The host is only a text/call away and happy to answer my questions. We had a fantastic long weekend despite the on and off rain.

Rivermist Retreat

My family and I would like to thank Johnny for sharing his piece of paradise, Rivermist Retreat. The cottage is fully updated, clean and had everything we needed for a week of quality family time. Johnny's attention to the needs of his guest was evident from the moment we stepped onto the property. There was fun for all ages with outdoor and indoor activities and games. The river was beautiful and wasn't too hard to paddle or peddle around. The water was very calm while we were there in August. We did spent most of our time on the dock and in the water. I would definitely recommend this cottage and Johnny as a host. Thank you again!

Will return again

Well stocked and clean cottage very close to the lake. Comfortable beds and many gathering spaces. Incredible amenities with trampolines, kayak, floating devices. Great for groups and sleeps lots of people. Be prepared to see your neighbors, and for such a well stocked cottage there could be bath towels. Thank you for being a wonderful host and we hope to return again.

Amazing!!

We had an amazing stay at Jhonny’s Rivermist Retreat. It is clearly observed that Jhonny had put a lot of thoughts and efforts in to the place. All the watercraft’s available are great to enjoy, the river behind is beautiful and bliss for swimmers. Kitchen is fully stocked as mentioned in listing. We would be definitely coming back!!

Fall retreat!

This cottage had everything we needed for our stay! The river was quite peaceful, we were there in the fall so probably not as busy as in the summer. The cottage was the perfect size for our group with everything being new and updated. Great stay, we hope to be able to enjoy it again!😊

Quiet location on a beautiful river, this location is perfect for whatever you’re looking for. My group spent time enjoying the canoe and kayaks, and even set up our own croquet set in their large yard. I highly recommend a weekend here. 10/10

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Growing up we never did much as a family, my parents were often working trying to provide and they were not the camping or cottaging type anyways. It has always been a goal and a dream of mine to have a family cottage so when you wanted to escape the city or have a weekend to yourself you could.
When I began looking for a place of my own I came across some really interesting spots and not all of them were practical to say the least. So once I came across this place and how private the area is yet so close to everything important I was immediately drawn in...I vividly remember sitting on the dock with my real estate agent watching a boat drive by and them waving to me while I listened to the water crash into the dock and shoreline... it was then that I knew this place was perfect!
I have steadily been improving this property ever since to make it more than just a summer and weekend get away. It is now a 4 season retreat that can be enjoyed anytime and if you are looking for some privacy and peace and quiet then this place is where you will find it.
Since sitting on that dock for the first time I have had so many wonderful days and weekends watching the kids of all ages in my family play and enjoy themselves together...something that I never had growing up. These are the most precious memories that I own now. I hope that you discover them too...
