Location can't be beat! Amazing views so sit on the porch and watch the MINI HA HA and Thursday night fireworks from the comfort of our home! You can park your car and walk for the week- Lake George Village with restaurants, arcades, coffee shops, Haunted Mansion , Shepard’s Park and beach all walkable on nice wide sidewalks along the lake. Usher/Delong beach (w/ lifeguards) and playground with pickle ball, swings, slides, basketball, and tennis is a 2 minute walk. 15-20 minutes walking to Million Dollar Beach , Mini Ha Ha, shops, arcades, Shepard's Park/beach, and all attractions. The home is part of Lake George history as it was built in 1800's. Tons of character but updated with gorgeous kitchen. Huge screened in porch and wrap around outside porch too. 5 spacious bedrooms (7 beds) with plenty of room to spread out. Pack light because this home is equipped with all appliances, grill, linens, beach chairs, floats. and towels. Come relax and enjoy the best location and comfort of this perfect home!!

Wonderful stay

We had a great week at this property in Lake George. Marcia was super kind and communicative, and the house had everything we needed for our stay. We were close to the village and beaches, and a short drive to Bolton Landing and some great hiking spots. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location, tons of space. Great view of the fireworks from the back porch. Screened in porch perfect for relaxing while watching the lake and boats. Short walk to a small beach and park.

Wonderful stay

This house was very close to be able to walk down to Million dollar beach and restaurants too. The porch and the huge screened-in room were so nice! The home has really nice old charm with updated kitchen. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

Great Place to Stay

This house was perfect. We were in a quiet part of Lake George but had a few restaurants and beaches you can walk to. The view from the front porch was amazing. The host was very responsive to any questions or needs we had (which weren't many). Would recommend this place to families or adults.

Beautiful Views!

A perfect location walkable to town and many restaurants. The highlight is the enormous screened porch - we spent the majority of our time at the house there! Marcia was responsive and sent us many recommendations. The house is huge with lots of room to spread out with a group. Loved it and Lake George!!

Easy Living

House worked perfectly for our large family. Living spaces were well-sized and kitchen had everything we needed. Location made it easy for different groups to do different things. Smores and Thursday night fireworks was a big hit!

Great for families

The house was an amazing old house. Very comfortable and roomy for our large multi generational family. Everything we needed was available. The house was clean, kitchen had everything we needed and more. The outside was well maintained and the gardens delighted us. The campfire was a relaxing end of the day activity. Highly recommend the accommodations.

Lake George Family Vacation

The house was a wonderful location! It was walking distance to the beaches. It has beautiful view of the lake from the front porch , where we enjoyed coffee every morning! The house was very clean and had everything you need from beach towels to treats! The kitchen had all the essentials! And we enjoyed the fire pit and grill! I would highly recommend bring your family or large group! The host was excellent!

This historic house was comfortable and clean for our entire family. The kitchen was large and well stocked. Check in and out was extremely easy and the owner was a delight to chat with. I didn’t feel like I was a bother to her with any questions. The location was convenient to drive into town but was a bit too far to walk with little kids. The walk to the very small beach near by was doable but very steep. A few things I wish the house had was another shower or an outdoor shower. Also darker curtains in the bedrooms to allow for naps and early bedtime would have been extremely helpful.

Great Vacation!

We were very impressed with the house. There was plenty of room for everyone, from the generous living room to the awesome screened in porch! You weren't on top of each other. The house was very clean and the owner is very responsive to all messages sent to her. Marcia is a pleasure to work with. The front porch was the perfect place to watch the Fireworks on Thursday night. Looking forward to going back next summer. Thank you, Marcia!

Great home in great location!

House was large, kitchen was well equipped and plenty of towels/beach towels. Older home, we admired the original details like doors, trim, doorknobs. Comes with some expected quirks of an older home. Spent nearly all our time on the screened porch which was wonderful! Perfect spot for viewing fireworks. Shower was snug for men in our group (6'2" and 6'4"). With only one indoor shower an outdoor shower would be a wonderful addition 😊

The view is worth it

Marcia was a great host and quickly took care of a few minor issues we found upon arrival.House is circa 1800"s and as such is not like vacationing in a brand new condo.The updated kitchen was great and had everything you would want to make a big meal or a quick snack.The beds were comfortable and the window units worked fine in the 90 degree heat we had.We liked being in the woods yet real close to the beach,Fort William Henry and the numerous downtown restaurant's and attractions.Parking downtown is a challenge.The view from the enclosed porch is fantastic.We rented a pontoon boat at Captain Bobs and cruised the lake.We also parked at one of the islands and went swimming.Lake George has always been one of our favorite vacation spots and look forward to returning one day to Marcia's house.

Beautiful spacious house in perfect location

My family stayed here for a week. We were a party of 6, including two seniors and a toddler. The house was huge, easily could accommodate a larger group. The kitchen was stocked with all appliances and utensils needed for any meal. We used the local beach multiple times which was a 5 min walk away and was perfect for a toddler age kid to swim. We were also walking distance to town and walked in multiples times for dinner, exploring, arcade, and a boat tour (my father is in mid 70s and I am 8 months pregnant and both were able to make the walk multiples times). Marcia was very responsive to any questions I had. We would absolutely rent from her again. Thanks for a great week!

Perfect Location and Views

We stayed here for the 4th of July week. The front porch has a great view of the lake where you can watch the steamboats go by all day, and watch the sunset. It also has a perfect view of the fireworks over the lake. You can walk to Usher Beach (about 100 yards away) and Million Dollar beach (.5 miles). We walked to the village a few times as well. The house is close to neighbors on one side, but we barely saw them. The kitchen is large and has everything you could need. The inside of the house was very clean and comfortable. The outside of the house is a little dated, but we didn't mind at all. The firepit is on the side of the house, you will have to bring your own wood. The front of the house has a large grass area with a large rock the kids loved playing on. Check-in and checkout was easy and communication with the host was great. If we go back to the Lake George area, we would definitely stay here again.

Lake George Retreat

It was a great historic house and comfortably fit all eight of us! The location was perfect, with amazing view of lake from the porch as well as the bedrooms. The kitchen was fully stocked and met all of our expectations. We were able to spread out and unwind since this home was huge. The fireworks on Thursday were set off in the lake right in front of us - what a show!!! The screened in area was an excellent retreat for relaxing, playing games and a safe space for our 1 year old grandson. There was a party going on at the Fire pit almost every night as we sang, told stories and enjoyed S’mores. Our host was super helpful and answered all of our questions right away. Thank you Marcia for allowing our family to reconnect in such a wonderful place. We will definitely be back!

Lake George stay

Nice house near the lake. Was clean. Beds were comfortable. Had a nice large kitchen with everything you could possibly need to make a meal (Even spices). Loved the fire pit. Had a gas grill also for BBQ meals. Very close to town (a few min away). Spoke with the host on a coffee pot issue. She responded quickly and was very nice and helpful. Air conditioning in every bedroom as well as living room. Which helped keep us cool on the warmer nights. Large screened in porch. Great for morning coffee or for those rainy days. Only reason I gave 4 stars was there is no direct private access to the lake. Which my family and I wanted.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful week- house was perfect for our family. Lovely Lake George home with 5 bedrooms. Everyone had a very comfortable bedroom w/ air conditioning! No need to bring sheets , towels or beach towels they are there for you. We spent early mornings and evenings in the screened porch. Had the best view for Thursday night fireworks, sitting on the front porch and then enjoyed a fire in the fire pit with smores (which were ready for us when we arrived ). The updated kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with everything you could want to prepare your meals. Beaches were close by and wonderful park, both you could walk to. We are planning our week for next year. The only thing we feel that needs some updating is the upstairs bathroom- it was difficult for some of us "old" folks to get in and out of the bathtub. Bright, beautiful and classic house in an excellent location. Completely comfortable and fun.

First off, the description and photos of the listing are highly accurate. But not exactly accurate because the house surpassed our expectations. We first arrived on a Thursday and that night were able to watch the fireworks over the Lake from a perfect vantage point on the porch. Without a doubt the best experience seeing fireworks we’ve ever had. The location on the south-eastern tip of the Lake is great. The house is on a hill and tucked away in some woods but also a short trip to Lake George Village and the main tourist area. As for the actual house, it looks and feels even better than the photos show. Bright, clean and very comfortable. Plenty of relaxing seating options both inside and out on the large screened-in porch. Bedrooms and beds all extremely comfy. And even though it was in the 90’s all weekend, the house was nice and cool. Little details like grills, a fire pit stocked with wood and marshmallow roasting sticks made the time there a lot of fun and a great place to catch up with family. We grilled every night and spent a lot of time in the absolutely gorgeous kitchen that has all the amenities. Finally, as soon as I booked, Marcia was communicative and immediately responsive to any question I had about the place. This continued throughout the stay and it was nice to know that if any issues came up, she would have been right there to fix it. However, no issues did come up and our time at this house was convenient, relaxing and pleasant. We will plan on coming back and I would recommend staying there without hesitation.

Cannot emphasize enough how great it is to be able to walk to the beach and into town - great location! The house combines the charm of an old house with a modern kitchen. The star of the show is the giant screened in porch where our group of 7 hung out most of the time, including to watch the August Thursday fireworks. The description and pictures are totally accurate. Note that it is 1.5 baths if you have a large group (see old house comment!). We didn’t need anything that wasn’t provided and communication with Marcia was great.

Our family loves the lake and has enjoyed many summers swimming, boating, eating s'mores, walking to the Village and sitting on our beautiful porch. Our house is unique because of it's size and location. It is huge and an easy walk to all. Save yourself the headache of meters and circling the area for a spot with hot, cranky children in the car. You can literally park and spend the week walking everywhere. The children will be ready for a jump in the lake after a walk through town and good and tired come bed -time. Teens love the freedom to walk to and from the village alone. Also, the basketball and tennis courts, playground and life guarded beach are 2 minutes walk away. The closest beach is small and perfect to relax and swim with children. Million Dollar Beach is also walkable and larger (about 15 minutes). Two very popular restaurants less than 5 minutes walking (George's Prime Rib and Koom Garrison) . Watch and hear the Steam boats and Thursday night fireworks from the comfort of the porch. I could go on and on but words don't do it justice. Come see for yourselves :)

We have a large screened porch and wrap round porch to sit and watch the fireworks and Mini Ha- Ha go by daily. Our close proximity to beaches restaurants, shops and all of the village make our home stand out. You have an amazing daytime view of the lake and a gorgeous sunset view not seen from the other side. Our night time view of the Village lights is amazing too. Our home is the perfect place for a family vacation with plenty not room to spread out .
