Relax with the family at this peaceful old home. Cedar Cottage -aka 2Cs-our latest acquisition in quaint Village of Otter Lake. Across the street from Otter Lake where you can access the beach, picnic area, & lake. Kayaks available. Trails- hiking & ATVs.
Equipped kitchen, living room, dining, porch, & backyard w/ firepit & games. Sleeps up to 7. Dog friendly.

The space
2Cs is an over 100 years old remodeled cottage. Two bedrooms (1. king-size, 2. three twins) with 2 baths. Fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining room, porch, and backyard with firepit and yard games. It sleeps 7 comfortably. Games and smart TVs are provided. Store & bar/grill a couple doors down. Conveniently located less than a half of hour drive to Lapeer, Frankenmuth, or Birch Run.
Guest access
Guests have the full cottage and yard for use. Also you have access to Otter Lake- all sports lake with beach, dock, picnic area, and playground. Please note- property is not directly on the lake.

Enjoy the sunrise with the perfect cup of coffee or wind down in the evenings on the front porch or backyard with a gas grill, tables and chairs for outdoor dining, lawn games, and a fire pit to roast some s’mores. Lots to do in this quaint community. Go for a hike or bike ride on the Southern trail. Relax on the beach right across the street or the Holloway Reservoir and Buttercup Beach is only a short drive. Blueberry picking is another option. This is not just a summer getaway- we have something for everyone year-round. The fall brings beautiful sights with all the trees in full glorious color. In the winter, there are trails for ATVing and cross-country skiing, and a lake for fishing and ice-skating. Perhaps, spend rainy days in the rocker, watching the Smart TV for movie night or your favorite sports, ...or maybe playing one of the many board games that are provided.
Other things to note
100-year-old home with all the charms- please note this home is OLD, with some low ceilings, uneven floors from settling, and all the typical conditions with a rural area.

WIFI provided but not guaranteed.

Propane for grill is not guaranteed. The tank is provided but may need to be exchanged (available right around the corner at Dollar General @$20)

Kayaks belong to the owners but can be borrowed during your stay. Kayaks are used at your own risk. You must return everything that is borrowed. Kayaks are not considered part of the rental. Owner assumes No liability.

Ring security cameras are located outside the property. There are no interior cameras.

All dogs (any pet) must be approved. There is a $75 per stay per dog extra fee. No cats are allowed due to the severe allergies of homeowners.

Rural area- no refunds for bugs or critters.

This is a very cute little cottage that was absolutely perfect for a family of 5. This was my first time staying at a Vrbo property and I must say that it was well above my expectations.

Very clean property and responsive owner. Situated across and down about five doors from a lake with small but very swimmable beach. A little camp store was two doors down, enabling us to get the little things one may forget on a trip. A sweet little small town diner/ ice cream shop is around the corner Overall a very pleasant experience with a small caveat for the stairs which are very steep
both bedrooms are upstairs and getting luggage up there was a little challenging but not impossible by any means.

Great beach just blocks away

My daughter and grandkids liked the place, I on the other hand did not as much. Very little light or windows and only one window that had a screen in it so you had to run the room air conditioners non stop. And we had some nice cool mornings and evening that would have been nice to feel the breeze. There is not much the owners can do about the lack of window however screens would be nice. Also, the stairs were too steep for me and my dog to climb so we just slept in the living room futon. Again, not much the owners can do about the steep stairs except note it in the listing. Maybe I missed it. My daughter picked this out, I would not have. I will say that possibly as I get more mature I may be turning into a cottage snob and expect more. The location to the beach was a nice two block walk and we all enjoyed the beach. My daughter would book again, I would not. The host was pleasant and nice to work with.

Cute Place!

Very cute, quiet location walking distance to the lake, a little store and Jaspers restaurant. Only about a half hour from Frankmuth. Everyone was very nice. Only complaint i would have is the water but we were warned about that. Very strong sulfur smell. We brought drinking water though. It was nice and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Would stay again. .

Cute, cozy and very comfortable cottage.

We had a great stay at Tiffany’s cottage ! The kitchen is very well stocked with every thing you would need. Plenty of Extra Towels bedding, pillows etc. The cottage was very clean & spotless ! Tiffany is a great and very responsive host. We absolutely loved her place and would definitely rent her cottage again. Lake Otter is just across the street for those interested in summertime activities.

Getaway + shopping and Frankenmuth

This charming clean house was a perfect getaway during a cold month. So much better than the hotel we stayed in last year for our annual trip from Canada. Everything we needed: close enough to Birch Run and Frankenmuth for daytime and lots of room for us three couples. Thinking of coming back during the summer to take advantage of kayaking and horseback rides.

Close to Frankenmuth

Cute cottage, quiet neighborhood near the lake. Only 30 minutes from Frankenmuth. Perfect size for our family. It’s an older house, so usual things like steep stairs and some low ceilings but the 2 bathrooms were appreciated. Lots of towels, games, nice fire pit and chairs in the backyard.

Weekend trip

My family and I stayed here for a weekend roadtrip and had a great stay. The house is as advertised, it was clean and the host was responsive and very friendly. The town is super cute with a nice spot to fish and swim. Short drive to Frankenmuth with plenty of antique shops along the way. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I started this vacation rental business because we love to travel and spend time with friends and families.
We have three properties in Florida- two condos on Hutchinson Island South and a single-family home in Vero Beach.
We also have several homes in Caseville and Otter Lake, Michigan.
All properties make perfect vacation spots for us and we want to share them.
As parents of 3 sons in their 20s, we wanted something that appealed to all ages. We also wanted a variety of activities, nature, lots of great dining places, and beautiful sandy beaches. These wonderful locations checked all the boxes for us.
During your stay, I am available by phone or text- the local manager is available for emergencies.
