Good - 3 Stars

First, I want to say the home itself is beautiful and has the potential to be a 5-star rental with the right improvements. At first glance, everything looked clean and inviting, but it didn't take long to notice issues. Small roaches began appearing almost immediately—they were on the floors, cabinets, walls, ceiling, even in the microwave and outside. One even fell on my daughter while she was trying to sleep. When we got home, I had to shake out all of our belongings to make sure none came with us. Additionally, as the floors got sandy and we swept, we discovered a surprising amount of black dog hair. The outside child/pet gate latch was completely rusted and unusable, and one of the bed pillows had a strong, unpleasant odor. With proper extermination and more thorough cleanings, this property could absolutely be a 5-star stay.

We will be back! Such a great location and layout for a fun and relaxing get away for a family. The closeness to the beach allowed us to easily haul all our beach toys without the experience being pained by a long walk. The house was clean and had all the amenities needed to take care of a family for meals, entertainment, and sleeping arrangements. Looking forward already to our return!

I hardly ever leave reviews, but I just had to on this one. Before our trip, I had a lot of questions. Every time I would email the property management I would get a email back within a hour. The beach House is right on the beach, literally. It is located in a quiet area with not a lot of beach traffic. We drove to Galveston one afternoon to go out to eat. Their beaches were packed! That really made me appreciate there is hardly anybody on the beach at our location. 10 people was the maximum number of people (at one time) I saw at the beach, where we stayed. The beach was clean. The house was in perfect condition when we got there. Everything was clean the beds were made, The kitchen 
.had dishes, cups, bowls, cook ware
.it was all there. I have rented probably about five beach houses over the years. This one is by far the best. I did have to call, after hours, regarding the code not working for the house when I got there, but they called me back within five minutes. I would rent this beach house again. The approximately 30 minutes drive from Galveston was worth it due to clean beach. Privacy and roomie house.

Beautiful stay

The Yellow Rose was perfect for our stay. It was able to accommodate our group of 12 with no issues. It’s clean, beautifully decorated and has plenty of space. The deck is amazing - overlooking the beach. You are literally walking distance to the beach! The views are gorgeous and it’s an easy drive back to the store or restaurants. The host was also quick to respond if we had an issues or questions!

Wonderful getaway trip!

The only issue we encountered was the lock on door at check in - Battery died on key pad. The back door dead bolt did not work and the handle lock was unlocked so we were able to enter that way. I called and was given the code for passkey. I let them know about back door dead bolt not working and that the door handle lock was not working properly. House smells brand new, all the rooms were clean. Beds were super soft - pillows were very large and looked nice on beds but a little too big to sleep on. We will definitely be back to this property!

Wonderful time

Perfect location great time. But key pad did not work so we used the back up key. The shower downstairs is perfect. But the handle needs fixed.We had a great time.

Other than the unit is clean and complete with their amenities ( kitchen, laundry bathroom) the big + factor is the location which is beachfront.. So relaxing that kids stayed the whole day in the shore.

It was a great place and we would be to go back!

We loved our stay! It is a beautiful property and a wonderful location. It is awesome for a toddler and they are well setup to accommodate children! It was a wonderful experience and we very much enjoyed our time! We are looking forward to returning in the future. This was the cleanest property we've ever stayed at using VRBO and was cleaner than most hotels we've stayed at! It was accommodating for our fur babies too. The check in process was a little rough because the door lock code didn't work but the management company was quick to respond and we were able to get into the property and enjoy the rest of our stay!

Amazing Time!!!

This is our second stay at Bolivar Peninsula. This location was almost impossible to beat! Direct access to the beach spoiled us with the ability to get the best out of this rental while also enjoying the beach all the time. Great overall experience and will absolutely go back. The kids loved it, the surf fishing was awesome, and the house was comfortable.

Spring Break

We greatly enjoyed our stay for spring break! We missed the busy weeks and basically had the beach to ourselves. The house was very clean and the deck had gorgeous views. We locked ourselves out one day and they were quick to come help. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful home-checked all the boxes

Our family enjoyed this rental very much. We were a party of five adults and two children. Having front row easy access to the beach was important to us and this home delivered. The views from the deck, lower patio and inside the house were fantastic. We were able to enjoy beautiful sunrise and sunset. The wrap around deck was spacious and had plenty of seating options. There is a nice little seating area on the downstairs patio that is a little more private. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, there was plenty of space and privacy. The home was well equipped, and met all of our needs for a fabulous beach vacation.

Beachfront break from reality

We enjoyed our beachfront stay at The Yellow Rose! The house was very clean and well stocked with linens and kitchenware. As with any vacation we ran into a few minor inconveniences along the way. The key pad wouldn’t take our code upon check in but we called the number on the door and Daniel was there within 5 minutes to help us. He was very nice and made sure we didn’t need anything else before he left. The ice maker couldn’t keep up with the demand of our crowd of 8 but we supplemented with a bag of ice while it made more. We have the same fridge at home so we are familiar with the ice maker not keeping up with the demand. The WiFi was spotty when trying to stream things to watch at night or trying to watch football games but I completely realize to most this wouldn’t be an issue as you are at the beach. Just something I thought I would mention if you have kiddos or a sports fan. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful place to vacation

Great location!

We loved this house! 7 adults and 5 children. For us it was perfect. We tend to eat our meals in with all these kids so the kitchen was a little skinny on baking dishes. 1 cooking sheet and 1 baking dish (8x8). Made lots of foul “pans”. Plenty of dishes, cups and cutlery though

The house was perfect! So nice, decorated, and comfortable. With the rain, the bugs and mosquitoes were not pleasant, but other than that the vacation was great! The fridge water and ice went out and the managers/maintenance provided us with complimentary water, ice, and more as requested and delivered!

Yellow Rose was fantastic

Everything was wonderful. The house was beautifully furnished and decorated and had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. The outside living area was just as great. The deck was huge and the view of the beach and ocean was amazing. The host was attentive and communicated extremely well. Would definitely recommend this great place!
