Family Easter Trip

We had a phenomenal time and enjoyed the house. It is very spacious and clean! Quick commute to downtown but the area was a tiny bit sketchy. Overall it was a great house with history and we look forward to booking it again in the future!

Relaxing vacation

We absolutely loved staying at The Purple House. It was very relaxing after being at baseball games for our son each day. It was very homey and loved just hanging out in the living room watching the Olympics.

Cute place but seems like someone thought owning a vacation rental would be easy...

The Purple House is Instagramable; beds were comfy. But that's about as good as it gets here. A few of our issues: The chain/padlock/manual sliding gate to parking were very difficult to manipulate, is poorly lit at night, and unsafe in case of an emergency b/c you have to keep it locked. There was no welcome note/bottle of water/wine/instruction book; no film in the polaroid camera. Coffee maker was filled w/ water w/mold spores. Window in Jack-and-Jill bathroom was stuck open. (The mgr sent someone to fix these two issues.) The fridge took 12 hours to cool. The freezer had one tray of ice when we arrived & no bin for a bag we bought. Pots/pans/utensils are old & need replacing. Craftsmanship in the kitchen (and elsewhere) is shoddy; the hood and shelves are crooked. There are cracks in the tile and countertop. Dishwasher is flimsy, cheap; one of the wheel brackets and the kick-plate came off. Everything felt just a little dirty & we awoke each morning to mouse droppings along the back of the kitchen sink and near the coffee area (we didn't leave food out). We lost power for a few hours after a tornado, but there were no flashlights or candles. All bedroom fan lights need a separate switch b/c the cords are hard to reach; all lights in the house need dimmers. The shower/tub is too small, bulbs were burned out, toilet paper was ultra-thin and cheap; one of the towel hooks was pulled out of the wall anchor. Bummer to leave a review like this, but I had to be honest. :(

Great Stay!!

The purple house was such a great place to stay. Check in was a breeze, the beds were comfortable, decor was super cute! The hosts did a great job. Only complaints were the non tinted windows and difficult shower in the back restroom.

So many fun details!

Our group of ladies had the best time at the Purple House! It really is so beautiful on the inside (and outside). We loved the openness of the living room and kitchen. The photo-ops alone are worth the stay! So glad we chose this house for our girls weekend!

Amazing Property!

Would rate higher than 5 stars if I could. Beautiful Property! The attention to detail was truly amazing! It was perfect for our small family gathering! Host was very responsive and helpful with questions! A truly exceptional experience!

Birthday Trip

Myself and my family were traveling to Houston to celebrate my birthday, we were looking for something large enough with great location when I came across this gem! It had all we needed and more
..about 10-20 mins from everywhere we were going. Host were very efficient and quick with responses when needed. They were very thoughtful as well going as far as leaving flowers, wine and a card for my birthday

THANK YOU. We had a small issue with the gate and it was IMMEDIATELY taken care of. I would definitely recommend this home
..thank you again for such a wonderful stay and your kind gestures. It was a pleasure!
