Uncertain Lodge and Inn is a local, family owned Inn, located on a picturesque piece of land on beautiful Caddo Lake. While #11 Fun in the Sun is not located directly on the water, it is only a quick 0.5 mile drive from the water. We also have plenty of space for boat parking.
#11 Fun in the Sun features 3 full size beds, and one bathroom, which is very nice and comfortable for anyone looking for a cozy place to get away.
All linens are provided, including sheets, comforters, bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths. We provide a 2-burner electric cook top for your convenience, however, you must bring your own cooking utensils. We also have a very welcoming pavilion with a table, and a charcoal grill (charcoal and lighter fluid not provided). This area is great for bringing groups together for dinner, entertaining, or just for relaxing and unwinding.
#11 Fun in the Sun also has a dorm size refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker (with coffee provided). Small bars of soap are also provided for your use.
All of the rooms at Uncertain Lodge and Inn are non-smoking, however, you are welcome to smoke outside on the premises.
Uncertain Lodge and Inn is located 0.5 miles from a popular boat launch, Johnson's Ranch Marina.
Time spent at Uncertain Lodge and Inn is sure to give you a relaxing escape, from grilling, fishing, boating, and playing games in the lake front yard. With Caddo Lake being a 25,400-acre lake, you will never run out of memory making activities. You can expect great fun, with friends and family, making you want to stay longer with every visit.

We stayed at Uncertain Lodge in Uncertain, Texas, over the weekend. The location was convenient for where we needed to be and close to Caddo Lake.Our check-in was at 4:00 PM. I messaged ahead to let them know we would be arriving around that time but did not receive a response. When we arrived, we called the number provided through Vrbo, but it was not a working number. We found another number posted on a sign and called it. The gentleman who answered told us the door was unlocked and the keys were on the counter.The lack of security was concerning. The door had been left unlocked for our arrival, and the deadbolt did not properly lock once we were inside.The room had a strong mildew and musty odor. The air conditioning worked well, the refrigerator appeared newer, the surface areas were clean, and the sheets appeared clean.However, there were several maintenance and cleanliness issues. The toilet seat was being held together with blue painter’s tape, the toilet bowl had a visible ring, and the back of the shower curtain liner had significant black mold or mildew. One of the towels also had a strong odor that smelled like cat urine.There were three beds in the room, and unfortunately, none of them were comfortable. They had very little support, and it felt as though you were sleeping directly on the bed springs.We knew we were booking an inexpensive, rustic property near the lake and were not expecting luxury. This was a lovely, quiet spot. Keith, the owner, was on site, helpful, friendly and welcoming. He offered us his picnic pavilion as shelter for our car when a hailstorm was predicted. He also gave us free use of kayaks on his second property down the road (near a cypress bayou.) This is not a luxury property, but it is clean and pleasant. Make sure you know how to get there in advance. GPS may send you the wrong way and wifi may be spotty.

Leanne and I both grew up in Marshall Texas - in fact, we grew up directly across the street from one another. Our friendship started early on. Leanne left town to pursue a degree in nursing, and I remained in town, pursuing my dream of living on Caddo Lake. I have been to many lakes over the years, but I have always had a passion and love for Caddo Lake. I moved here to Caddo Lake in 2020, where I began making my dreams come true. The only thing missing, was my dream girl to share in the experience with me. Leanne and I rekindled our friendship long distance, as she was living in the DFW area. In April 2025, we married on our property here on Caddo Lake, and she and our son Parker, now call Caddo Lake "our home", and we enjoy making memories every day!
We look forward to meeting all of our guests, and helping you create memories as well!

Our property is located in one of the most popular areas of the lake, offering guests the most optimal experience. Leanne, Parker, and I live a half mile away, allowing us to visit with the guest and share the history of Caddo Lake everyone.
