In the years that followed, Cori's mother would always say that leaving Washington was her biggest regret. Years later, Cori's boyfriend Dean proposed and surprised her with a weekend getaway to Washington, only to instantly fall in love with the area. After Cori's mother passed away a few years ago, the couple stumbled upon the listing for this beautiful getaway for their two children, just a mile down the street from the home Cori grew up in. Furnished with her mother's antiques, Professor Plumb serves as a family compound for, not only Cori and Dean's family, but their children's cousins, remaining grandparents, aunts, uncles and close friends to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and small-town charm while escaping the hustle and bustle of Manhattan.
