Meander down the most scenic of Roxbury Roads to reach "tunnel Road 4-BR" tucked between the Shepaug River and 1000 acres of Steeprock land trust with endless hiking trails directly in your back yard. Gracious circular driveway leads to the wrap around front porch with plenty of room for relaxing and dining. Interior has been recently updated with new flooring, appliances, and a recently opened floor plan. The main living space is highlighted by a stone fireplace and walks out to the back yard with stunning rock outcroppings. Upstairs there are 4 bedroom (or 3 BRs and an Office option) and 2 baths. Come enjoy this peaceful and private location set amongst the finest multi million dollar estates in town. Generator runs all basic functions.

Amazing host, wonderful Property

The host was more than helpful with his properties. Very communicative with all the staff we were putting up for the week. This and his two other properties we rented for our stay were in top shape and easy to get in and get comfortable.

Lovely house for casual stay

We had a very pleasant stay and will be sure to visit the area again for the charming towns, shops, and scenery. The house was very comfortable for a casual week away. My only negatives were there was a funky odor in the upstairs twin bed where the washer and dryer is, and the TP and PT supply was sub-par. Otherwise, it was lovely - plenty of firewood and the ping pong table was a blast. Beautiful walking area.

Welcome to PoshPadsCT,com, our collection of pristine renovated country rental homes located in historic, rural Litchfield County, within a scenic 2-hour drive from NYC. Washington is exceptional for its excellent restaurants, spas, antique shops, art galleries, boutiques, farms, historic homes, gardens, vineyards, distilleries, and orchards. The Gilmore Girls creator modelled Stars Hollow, the perfect Connecticut town, after Washington and the Independence Inn after the Mayflower Inn. It is the current or former home to many artists, writers, actors and Wall Street executives – referred to as "more Vermont, than Vermont" and "the un-Hamptons". Nature preserves, Lake Waramaug, and the Shepaug River offer extensive hiking, biking, and water activities. Mohawk and Sundown Ski Areas , Lime Rock Raceway, and Quassy Amusement Park are all a short drive.

Each home was acquired for its architectural interest and private country setting in Washington's or Roxbury's most scenic neighborhoods. All are beautifully landscaped with flowering trees and shrubs, flagstone terraces with gas barbeques, and new in-ground gunite pools. Each has been exquisitely re-designed and furnished with art and antiques, elegant bedrooms and new luxury bathrooms, and chef's kitchens with new stainless steel appliances. Relax and refresh with Frette pressed cotton sheets, plush towels and bathrobes, Bigelow bath amenities, down featherbeds, comforters and pillows. Maid, catering, private chef and massage services are optional. Enjoy central heat and air conditioning, WiFi, flat screen televisions with dvds, cable and movie channels, central sound systems, central vacuums, and central alarms.
