Nothing says mountain getaway more than a charming cabin near the lake! You'll be "Cabin a Good Time" at this delightful home in Snowshoe Springs (Dorrington) with access to the private and quaint Snowshoe Lake. This level property makes for easy access year-round and boasts a great yard to enjoy in any season plus a brand new hot tub on the private back deck! Enjoy foosball, a cozy fire in the wood stove, or stargazing on the large deck.

Bedrooms: Cabin a Good Time is a tri-level home that accommodates 10 guests in 3 bedrooms as well as additional sleeping in the living room and loft. The master suite is upstairs with an attached full bathroom and has a King bed, the second bedroom has a Queen bed, and the third bedroom has a Bunk bed (Twin + Full beds). There is also a Queen sleeper sofa in the living room and a Full bed in the loft. This home has two full bathrooms.

Amenities: Walking distance to Snowshoe Lake, Hot Tub, Wi-Fi, central heating, woodstove (firewood provided), foosball, BBQ, washer and dryer, dishwasher, coffee pot, and fully equipped kitchen. Linens and towels are included.

Please Note:Level driveway and lot. Maximum 10 guests. no smoking, no check-ins on Easter Sunday or Christmas Day. Patio furniture is seasonal.

Check in was simple & convenient. The house was clean & comfortable. We really enjoyed the little pond across the street & the hot tub. Make sure you go see the beauty at the end of Boards Crossing Road!

Perfect cabin in the woods

Super nice cabin with the best beds we have ever slept on in a rental. Very quiet neighborhood and close to the lake. We will stay here again for sure.

Dorrington/Camp Connel visit

This was a work weekend down at Boards Crossing so we were out and about most days. The weather was lovely and the cabin was very pleasant to stay in. There are a few things that need attention a broken towel rack, tp holder, bath mat that did not adhere at all and the large frying pan is warped and almost unusable. But these were little things and we were quite pleased with our choice of this cabin. Thanks for sharing.

The area was beautiful! The hot tub was the perk as the weather was changing and we love to be by water. The area is quiet and just gorgeous. The lake was OK but the pictures were very misleading. It has a small area that is clean and we enjoyed that. The lake had beautiful sunrays all over it. Lots of frogs and tadpoles so we had fun playing the n the small area that was clean. Overall the experience was nice and the cabin was nice. Master bed was no good. Very old, definitely in need of upgrade. I’d also suggest washing all your dishes pots and pans before using them, but we cleaned everything up pretty good after we used them.

Careful with the driveway

Honestly we loved the stay no issues with the place once we were settled. However the reason it doesn’t get a 5 star rating and is getting 3 instead is due to the driveway and the lack of accountability from the realty company that rents out this property. It was a safety hazard to drive up that driveway which is a lot longer in person. We used this cabin in January when there was snow everywhere and black ice on the driveway. It took my SUV 10 minutes to get up this driveway plus my friends and I had to shovel quite extensively to help make it possible. My group had 3 cars and 2 out of the three cars got stuck in the snow due to that driveway. Our third car had to pull us out with a kit they had ready in case something happened. It took an hour for my car on the way out to get unstuck due to the black ice. When I mentioned the issue upon check out and how it is dangerous, the realty company seemed unfazed and just exclaimed oh yeah that happens when it snows. Uhm no as your property you should take precautions to make sure the driveway is maintained and upkept and not a danger to the customers. If my car or anyone else’s car had gotten damaged or someone would've gotten injured due to their lack of accountability best believe they’d be hearing from a lawyer if not by my group in the future this would definitely be a possibility. It just baffles me that if they are aware of the situation they would check the property prior to the customer getting there to assure that it’s safe. I’m surprised there hasn’t been complaints or this hasn’t been an issue before. So my hope is that they address this issue immediately or they will have a lawsuit in their hands.

Hi Alvaro, thank you for taking the time to write a review, and we are happy you enjoyed the home! We do wish you had reached out during your stay while you were having the issues with the driveway. We would have been happy to send someone out with ice melt. Unfortunately with back to back winter storms and high demand for plow services, we cannot always guarantee driveways are in perfect condition. We were unaware of the driveway being iced up, and again would have been happy to send someone out to help. Driveway aside, we are so glad you enjoyed the home!
