Love the outdoors! Home is near rivers, lakes, ocean for water sports and swimming, new and old hiking/biking trails, state parks, birding, wildlife areas, whale watching, lighthouses, local breweries, restaurants, organic market.
Includes high speed internet, washer dryer, Roku TV. Comfortably sleeps 11 with three bedrooms that sleep 5 and two shared areas that sleep another 7. Flexible bedding arrangements include accommodations for couples. Twin beds are extra long.. Diverse groups of adults and children will find comfort here. Home designed by artist/potter/gardener/yoga teacher with great vibes for relaxation and convenience overlooking the East Machias River.

Family vacation

This property was very unique and we enjoyed our stay. The only comments are that the property needs a full size gas grill and the upstairs carpet needs to be removed. The sitting area was great for numerous people.

The location is beautiful! The house was lovely and comfortable. Connie was very helpful, flexible, and provided clear communication. We really can't think of a way she could improve things!

Perfect for entertaining

Everything we needed to entertain a group of 7. Our vacation was all about doing a sea food boil and the space was perfect for that and the kitchen was fully equipped and stocked. We did bring our own big lobster pot and outdoor burner but there was a grill with a burner available and lots of big pots. The place was roomy and quiet. Host was very accommodating and I would most definitely stay there again.

Beautiful scenery

We booked this at the last minute for my adult children and they were pleased with the accommodations. The site did not make clear all the sleeping arrangements which didn't quite suit couples but they made it work. Best for parents with young children. Beautiful grounds, scenery and deck to watch the stars at night.

Astro Photography Trip

9 of us came from out of the country to shoot some photos of the stars out near Acadia National Park; Connie's house was lovely and a good place to call home base. Only thing we were not too keen on were the sleeping situations, as some of us had to double up on the beds, but the listing says that 11 are able to sleep comfortably. A more accurate listing of the available beds would be ideal, but it was only a minor inconvenience that we worked through. Connie was very helpful and eager to help, we really enjoyed our stay!

Five stars thank you! To respond to the query about beds, the VRBO page lists which beds are in each room, with 3 bedrooms containing a king, queen and a single. Plus one common area with a queen bed (couch), and another common area with two singles and another queen(futon). Hope that helps with clarity. It was a delight to have your lovely group. Please come again and hopefully we can make arrangements that would suit.
