Quick Thanksgiving stay

Stayed for thanksgiving with the family. Was appropriately stocked with everything we needed to make our meal and was a perfect spot for our group. Conveniently located to downtown and the beach for all the options. Would recommend!

Great little house

Great little house. Loved that we had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Just big enough for a vacation stay. We were able to do laundry, which is always a plus. Furniture and kitchen a bit dated, but clean. Beds could use new box springs as they were all squeaky. Comfortable mattresses, but loose the plastic mattress covers on two of the beds. There are better waterproof covers out there that don’t make you feel like there’s a flimsy plastic cloth underneath. Otherwise a fantastic stay!

Housing fell through for the first week of school and this property was perfect for the boys to stay while getting to classes.

Double booked

Booked for a birthday weekend for my wife. Drive 2.5 hours to find out it was booked with someone else who had checked in already.

Uncomfortable few days

The house was a nice size and the setup was perfect for 6 adults. We had several problems and will not stay there again. Two of the 4 tv’s did not work, ants in the kitchen and living room, mold on the shower curtain liners, no lights for the back yard, the patio and furniture were filthy , air fry was dirty, and the sliding glass door track had never been cleaned. The furniture was old, frayed and dirty. Hopefully the owner will clean this place up for the next renter.

Property served all our needs and purposes. Was clean and had several convenience items many other places don't offer. Accommodations were comfortable and location was convenient to local eateries and shops and not far from beaches while located in a quiet neighborhood. beach trip

overall this was a great trip! just a few minor issues such as very minimal cleaning supplies, example there was no laundry detergent even though there was a container of it there. It was completely empty, we had to go buy some. the outside yard for our dog had only 1 light working right at the sliding glass door and it barely worked. The flood lights or security lights didn't work making it difficult to see our dog when it was outside.

Poor communication resulting in not having our trip

This host did not respond to messages sent 5/18 and 5/19 to confirm the booking and so we could ask additional question. On 5/20 VRBO attempted to contact the host since we had no response with no luck. On 5/21 VRBO contacted the host with no luck and advised our booking would be cancelled and a full refund issued. On the day of check in 5/22 after the reservation was cancelled per VRBO and our trip was cancelled the host responded. As of 6/5the reservation was not cancelled and VRBO is refusing to refund. I would not book with this host as they have a history of double booking which is why we wanted to confirm the booking and clarify policy’s and we couldn’t even get a simple response back. We were traveling several hours with a large group and infants and could not risk the house being double booked or not actually available. Now we have invested hundreds that are not being refunded by the host or VRBO and our kids lost out on a trip to Wilmington so hopefully this review prevents the same from happening as two guest within a year had issues!! Hopefully the host learns to communicate and recognizes the hardships this is causing guest.
