Spacious cabin on tranquil lake with kayaking, fishing. Arcade games, pool table

Beautiful cabin with room for everyone to spread out. Located on Alpine Lake, a no wake lake, where the fishing and kayaking are great. We have a pedal boat and 8 kayaks included, adult and children sizes. 2 special Hobie kayaks are available for rent. You can also rent our golf cart. See the wildlife in the large yard. In the winter enjoy the fireplace, ice fishing and skating. Only 6 miles to Nordic Mountain for skiing and tubing! Many things to do in the Wautoma area, great restaurants and unique shops. We provide firewood and a variety of life jackets. Fully equipped kitchen.

This is a natural lake with a soft natural bottom. People do swim here and use floaties and the splash pad that we provide. Swimming is also available at the county park, just a couple minutes away if you prefer a sandier bottom.

We have three bedrooms, two with king size beds, one with a queen size bed. On the lower level is another bed, a trundle bed for extra sleep space.

Water Softener: Our home uses a water softener system that occasionally cycles at night. We’ve added soundproofing to minimize the noise, but light sleepers may still notice hum from time to time. Probably won't happen on shorter stays.

Games and puzzles are available for guests to use. The arcade room has several games, an air hockey, foosball and a pool table.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

GOOD: There is lots of space. Six people had plenty of room to be comfortable in any space that they wanted. The game room was fun. There are board games, books. Many used the kayaks(sit on type). The fire pit was nice, outdoor seating plenty. The beds and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. We rented a rented a pontoon at Ding‘s Boat Dock with cushion seating. Definitely worth the money. BAD: The washer was very moldy and smelly, 2 cleaning pods did not help, a load of towels with Biz did. Shelves in the door of the refrigerator were filled with opened, used food. The lake was very mucky, you would sink down when walking in and make the water dirty. No one swam in the water. UGLY: *2.5 hr spent cleaning* The kitchen floor, refrigerator, cabinet shelves, stove were dirty. Used food was in the refrigerator. Stairs were sandy, full of dog hair. The owner was informed, replied that they “have always gotten five star reviews and most people have said it is spotless.” I offered to send photos. There was no offer to clean it.‹Their next day reply, 
”sorry you have found so many things that are not up to your standards” and said they would cancel and refund the remaining 4 days and we would have to cancel by noon that day (this was not seen until after that time). “It (cabin) is always left in a very clean condition”, “
if not up to your standards, by all means you should cancel.” They knew we were there for a 40th anniversary with family-No offer to fix it or compensate.

Delightful Stay

"Tranquil" was the operative word for our relaxing, weeklong stay at this lovely cabin. The no-wake lake was perfect for kayaking, swimming and just lounging on the beach, with plenty of shade for warmer days. The cabin was roomy with all the amenities, a great view, and even an arcade room. Ginny, the proprietor, was so nice to work with and always responded right away with any questions I had. We highly recommend this for your next getaway vacation!

We are a couple in our 70's from Oshkosh and have always wanted a cabin on the lake. Doing a vacation rental was a way for us to achieve that goal. We take care of the property ourselves. We hope you'll make this a place that you come back to year after year.

We fell in love with this house. We walked in and said, "wow, this is perfect!" The lake neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet. We love kayaking.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The large yard gives this property a real feel of privacy. We have tried to think of everything you might need while you are here and we try to make it easy to find what you need by leaving notes. For those who fish, the lake is stocked and I'm told fishing is great. But the best part for us is kayaking and sitting by the lake. In the winter, the wood burning fireplace is so nice.
