Vous allez adorer votre Get Away 'The Lake' lorsque vous sĂ©journez dans notre cabine sur Upper South Long Lake. Profitez de la piscine de jours, la navigation de plaisance (canot est fourni), et la pĂȘche Ă  droite de votre quai privĂ©. Apportez votre propre bateau et le ski nautique, le wakeboard, la dĂ©rive dans le soleil, et la pĂȘche graves sont les vĂŽtres.

Property was very nice. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable living room and dining room area. Lot is very wide for a lake lot with trees on both sides to provide privacy from the neighbors. Brought our boat and had a great time on the lake. Visited the nearby resort / bar and grill, which is only about 3 or 4 blocks away. The food there is surprisingly good and reasonably priced. Overall it was a great trip.

Overall it was a great place to stay. There was plenty of room for all of us. The only drawback was that I felt the beds/mattress could be updated and that the living room rug smelled a bit like a wet dog(needs a shampooing maybe) and adding a dehumidifier would be nice as it was sort of damp feeling when using living room furniture. Overall it was a really great experience. The convenience of the dock and fire pit as well as the open yard for our dog to run around was great.

Exhausted almost empty nesters

We were last minute planners. Wanted to get out of the heat dome and have a change of scene. Some peace and quiet. This charming cabin fit the bill! We enjoyed our time playing Yahtzee by the lake and cruising around to the local restaurants. We were surprised we could survive without a smart tv but enjoyed the selection of dvds! We also enjoyed a little campfire and appreciated the well split firewood! Our first time to the MN lakes- we understand their beauty and need for DEET Thank you for being such nice hosts!

The cabin has very nice furnishings, comfortable chairs and sofa in living room, comfortable beds. The finishings high quality. Nice big treed lot. We enjoyed the firepit and swimming. Not a sandy beach, but water was clear and clean, not weedy. We got more rain than we ordered on this trip, but we would come back.

Lake is so clean

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. We really enjoyed floating in the lake. The water is really nice. The yard is big for outdoor games. It got warm in the bedrooms at night. Temps outside where almost 90. Glad we came.

late September Get Away

Nicely appointed cabin on a beautiful lake. Local bar and grill a short walk from cabin which had live music. Took the canoe out a couple times. All appliances worked well, gas grill was good for the steaks, all amenities were as described.

Great Stay on the Lake

This house is so well positioned - back from the shore of the lack in the trees - giving privacy and easy lake access. The lake was pretty clear and great for a swim. The house is well-equipped and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Great family trip

We had a lovely trip. The cabin was clean, quiet, and private. We enjoyed time at the lake, games, puzzles and campfires. My son spent hours and hours fishing off the dock and caught lots of fish. There was a loon family that spent time every day near the dock and there was an eagle family nearby that we watched flying and fishing. It was a great time. Everything we needed was supplied. I would highly recommend staying here.

Quiet retreat

Loved the privacy and quiet of cabin setting. The lake was clean but had rocky, uneven bottom that was difficult to walk on and filled with weeds. Cabin was well stocked.

Easy Breezy Boathouse

We had a lovely 4 night family stay. The cabin was a perfect, quiet retreat. We loved walking down to the private dock to fish, swim, launch our kayak, or lay in the sun. It was an easy walk to the Paradise Pub for a couple of our dinners. We had a few meals in Brainerd and Baxter. We used the puzzles and games during our down time while enjoying some AC. The owners have clear communication for reservations and checking out. Thanks for sharing your peaceful place to add to our family experiences.

Boat House Stay

We had a wonderful stay at The Boat House. Tom and Linda have a well- stocked cabin that provides everything you need to feel like you're home away from home. We enjoyed the private yard, fires with smores and lake time. We spent our days fishing, paddling and swimming. Thanks again!!

Boat House R&R

Our sixth time staying at the Boat House. Another fantastic week of relaxation with some swimming, canoe rides, campfires, and daily visits from the local wildlife. Thanks again to Tom and Linda for sharing their great property and supplying everything you need to enjoy the experience. We hope to be back again next year.

Great for our family!

We stayed at the cabin with our family and dog and it was great. Easy to bring our boat, put it in at the public landing and leave it at the dock at the cabin. Nice fire pit and wood provided. We had a good time and would go back!

Relaxing and private getaway

What a beautiful property! The cabin was lovely and comfortable, stocked with all of the essentials. Our small kids enjoyed playing on the dock and outings in the canoe. Appreciated having cable for downtime and the fire pit for evening entertainment. The view was gorgeous and the property was so quiet and private. It was great having the grill and patio for outdoor meals. Very restful and relaxing. Would definitely come back in the future!

Satisfactory Stay for our 2nd visit

Our family of 4 had another enjoyable vacation at this location. We rebooked after last summer. The boat house cabin was very clean and accomodating. Easy instructions and communication with owner. Highly recommend!

Relaxing getaway

Our time at the cabin with family was so relaxing! The cabin was very clean and cozy. Everything we needed except our food was provided at the cabin. The area is beautiful. We enjoyed watching Osprey, Eagles and ducks with their ducklings from the dock. It was nice to have several outdoor seating areas available. The deck by the lake was perfect for watching the sun set. The cable TV was a nice bonus and we had fun playing some games from a selection in the entertainment cupboard which contained games, movies and books. Tom and Linda went above and beyond for me when I left my iPad at the cabin. They went out of their way to deliver it to a family member so I did not have to drive 2 hrs one way to get it. We will definitely stay here again if we have the chance.

Quiet and peaceful retreat

We enjoyed our stay here! It was relaxing. House is set up nicely- everything we needed. Enjoyed the shade of the tall trees in the yard. Osprey and eagles flew very close.

We are excited to share our cabin with you. As a matter of fact you might see us on the lake as we enjoy 'Up North' at our place on the same lake!

We have been vacationing on this Lake for over 40 years. We love it up here so much this is our second home on the same lake. Wildlife, long walks, eagle spotting, loon calls, water sports, sunsets, talks and s'mores around the campfire are all woven into our family fabric. You'll be happy when they are part of yours!

We take a lot of pride in our cabin so you will find it neat and clean. We have made many improvements that you will appreciate. You will love the privacy provided by our 200 feet of lakeshore, big front yard, lakeside deck, and the wooded lot. From many windows of the cabin you can not see our neighbors. On bad weather days there is lots of space in the cabin for family card games, movies (small library included) or a check on the current sporting event on the big screen TV. Up to 2 dogs can stay with prior approval and additional fee paid
