Four-story condo with attached garage that is heated - perfect for large families. Located on Sugar Mountain just a 100 yard walk to the slopes and close to all mountain amenities. This condo features 3 bedrooms with a loft affording bedding for 12. The ground level has a single-car garage available for use and also has ample storage for your winter activity equipment. The second level has two forms of entry, you can either use the stairs from the garage or use the private back door entrance. On the second level you will find an open concept main-living area with large screen tv, gas logs, and a fully furnished kitchen with a double oven. The second floor also has a bedroom featuring a king size bed and full bath. The third level has two bedrooms along with a full bath. One bedroom has a king size bed, while the other one has a queen and full size. This bedroom also includes an enlarged closet area housing two twin beds. Perfect for children or adults. There is a ladder leading to the loft where you will find two twin beds and TV. Whether spring, summer, fall, or winter this property offers you convenience to all local attractions on Sugar Mountain and in Banner Elk. Non-smoking. No pets allowed. No Check-in's Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. All guests required to sign their rental agreement within 7 days of booking.

Needs some love like a deep cleaning and upgrades. No can opener or cork screw. Could feel the springs on an upstairs mattress and the area rugs could use a cleaning. Great location and good overall experience.

This was the perfect rental for our family. Walking distance to the slopes the rooms were very comfortable very spacious living area and kitchen was well supplied. Will definitely book it again.

Great place to stay during the autumn season. It was a great way to enjoy Banner Elk and everything the Blue Ridge Parkway communities have to offer. This unassuming property boasts so many beds that it makes the perfect place for several families and friends to share.

Great Ski Week

We rented the house from Sunday to Thursday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house had all the items we needed and expected for our stay. The kitchen had all the standard equipment, the bedrooms were comfortable and the kids liked the games that were in the house. The only missing part is the walking path over to the resort is closed due to Hurricane Helene.

Great time but hard with littles

This property hit almost all our must haves. The garage was amazing and such a much needed space we never knew we could find with skiing in the area! It’s set up was wonderful. The steps inside leading up from the garage tho are steep, dark (light not working) and slippery. 3 of the 6 of us fell down them and took hard falls. The house was great with only a few minor flaws and areas that looked like they need some attention- bathrooms and handrails need a better cleaning. Easy fixes to make the place feel a little fresher and cleaner. We were told to clear our food from the cabinets and upon arrival found tons of expired food in the cabinets. We never used the cabinets but they need to be cleaned out. The kitchen is well stocked and has a slow cooker just fyi so that was helpful. The description is accurate- 100 yards from slopes. I didn’t see anyone’s review stating steps down to the slopes tho. It was SO icy and snowy it was nearly impossible to see the path and steps. Day 3 it cleared and it was still a difficult hike with kids/teenagers. I don’t think we could stay again for this reason. Lastly. The #1 annoyance of the place was that it uses a REAL key! So you must check in at the rental agency and get a physical key. They offered multiple but the real headache was making sure it was in a very safe spot while skiing. The key also has to be returned at check out time which kept us from staying longer toEnjoy ice skating.

Annual ski get together of friends

There certainly was enough bedding for 12 people. However, the living room only had seating for 6 and we had to improvise with chairs. The upstairs king bedroom did not have a mirror or adequate lighting. The towels supply was very good as was the bed linens. The only usable entrance into the condo was through the garage as the other one was blocked with leaves and debris. The garage was convenient to leave your clothes. However, there were no hooks upstairs in the hallways for your jackets and other outer wear. There were 2 coffee makers, however, one was useless since the pot did not fit the unit. The toaster was burnt out on one side and very slow to toast on the other. There were not enough coffee cups for 12 people. There were no wine glasses until provided by the rental company, the pots and pans were totally in disarray underneath the cabinet, the refrigerator ice maker did not work.. Parking did a accommodate 4 cars. AND THE 2 TOILETS!!!! We called the rental agent who sent a handyman over to check the problem. They did not flush all the way. You needed to flush it 2 or 3 to empty the bowl. We were told that there were water savers in them that restricted the amount of water In the tank, How much water do you save when you have to flush 2 to 3 times and one just good good flush would do the trick. The water temperature in the showers and sink was danderous hot and difficult to control. Just a little TLC would make this a very comfortable condo to rent.

Amazing Experience

Stay was awesome. Easy check-in check out process. Amenities were everything we need and everything was clean. Location was ideal for our trip as is was a short walk to Sugar Mountain for our snowboard trip. Toilets were a little iffy when flushing but still did their job. I just assume it is location and age of property definitely did not impede our experience. A physical address to the condo would have been better to have in the pickup instructions instead of a highlighted paper directions. We were able to find it though. I appreciated the space that was avaialble to us and the experience was amazong for our whole group

Skiing Weekend

Older place which was expected in this area. Great location, path to the ski lift was great but icy bring salt if staying a while. House was not clean, needs some care. Needs baseboards and floors cleaned, unload wet dishwasher prior to new guest, needs shower curtains replaced, needs more garbage bags, wine opener, update the towels would be nice. Sleeps 12 is ok more like 6 adults 6 kids maybe. Seats in kitchen and living room more like 6. For the price I was hoping for a little better. Great location and fun weekend but had to overlook the dirty and older bedding and bath.

The basement was a great bonus to be able to come in from the outdoor activities without tracking snow throughout the house. The children also enjoyed just hanging out in the basement playing games. The walk/ trail to the ski resort was a nice trail with easy access to the resort.

We have a large family (5 adults and 5 children) and the bedroom layout was perfect for our needs! The location was perfect and we loved that people could walk back to the chalet if they wanted a snack or to rest instead of having to drive back and forth. The path leading from the slopes to the chalet is a fairly steep incline when carrying ski and snowboarding gear. Renting a locker to store your gear at the lodge might be helpful if you have children or others who would struggle with this. We then would just pick up everyone and their gear at the end of the day in our and vehicle at the loading area...no need to park at the slopes! We have a large 15 passenger van and an another smaller car and parking worked out great! The chalet is on a corner so there is extra space for larger vehicles like ours. The location is close to ski rentals, Food Lion, gas, and restaurants. We loved the Pedalin Pig! The property is in need of a few minor repairs and updates, but it fit our needs very well. The rental company was very helpful, kind, and accommodating as we needed overflow parking for a third vehicle. Thank you for a wonderful family trip! We will stay again!!

Fantastic short stay

Property was as advertised and comfortably slept 10 adults, and had room to comfortably sleep 2 more. The property looked, smelled, and felt clean, and the check-in process was very straightforward. There was room for 2 cars at the property plus an additional car in overflow. The garage and slatted storage space in the garage was immensely helpful for storing our gear while not in use. We had an easy walk to the lodge. Great rental!

Great Sugar Mountain Option!

The property was very versatile for our party of 12, with plenty of beds. The walk to the lodge on the trail was a little longer than we anticipated, but not bad at all! Check in and checkout was easy, as the office was very close to the Sugar Mountain resort.

Great Location Needs Updating

The location was great. Really easy for the kids to get back and forth from the mountain to eat and rest without having to deal with the crowded ski lodge. The cleanliness of the unit was lacking. the bathroom floors and the carpets were dusty. It seemed almost as if the cleaning crew just did a quick once over and didn’t really spent any time making sure the place was ready for the next reservation. The unit accommodated the 8 of us easily and we had plenty of room to spread and be comfortable. The garage was probably our favorite feature. We didn’t have to deal with the tight parking area and everyone was able to come in take all the ski gear off and leave it downstairs without having to drag snow and mud up into the unit.

The ground floor garage was an awesome bonus for putting ski gear and clothes as we came back from the slopes. The walk to the slopes was 5 min or less, but did have some stairs and is mostly a wooded trail, so it was worth getting a locker at the lodge and carrying our ski boots. Our only minor complaint would be the upper level had a slightly musty smell.
