Shady Oaks is a quite roomy, comfortable and well equiped house. Slept well on the beds. Really appreciated the labeling on the switches. Needed a tutorial on the coffee pot, but finally figured it out. Host was quick to respond with help when we realized we had an incorrect door code. And, we greatly appreciated the schedule flexibility due to the wedding events we were attending. Only wished we'd had the time and weather to hang out in the back yard.

Amazing

The property is located in the most convenient location. Plenty of room in a very pleasant neighborhood. Will definitely rent again and highly recommended to anyone traveling to Baton Rouge.

Great House!!

We traveled to Baton Rogue for the Nationals Bowling Tournament and this house was perfect for our group of 7. It was clean and spacious and had everything we needed for the week. Plus it was only 5 mins away from the bowling center which was super nice!! The neighborhood was great as well. Would definitely recommend for anyone with a group!

My team was in town for the national bowling tournament. We decided to rent a house rather than get 4 different hotel rooms. The property was wonderful, in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Everyone commented how well they slept there, that speaks to how “at home” it feels.We had plenty of room to spread out for our own space and comfortable gathering areas.I personally enjoy taking walks, there are some wonderful lakeside, LSU campus walks that start right there.Great place to stay!

Beautiful Stay

Wonderful. Having the convenience of home. The beautiful real roses that was setting on the table when we arrived. Very thoughtful. We loved it. It was close to the stadium downtown. Easy access to the freeway. We would stay there again.

Great stay near LSU campus

The house was extremely clean and well supplied. We enjoyed our visit with our son who attends LSU. We were also only 6 miles from the historic city park golf course. We will book here again.

Cane in for LSU game, super convenient location!! House is as advertised. Has a lock issue on guest house and owner was there within minutes to address. Problem solved. Great neighborhood!!

Perfect Place to Get Family Together for Graduations

All our family members were impressed with this home. We were never in each other's way because there were multiple locations inside and out to sit and socialize, including around the fire pit. Of course, we cooked huge meals for all and the kitchen was a delight to work in. Nicely decorated/renovated.Safe feeling location!

Perfect space and location

When my FIL gave the task of finding a home with 4 King beds, I thought that he was crazy. I was surprised to find that there were actually a few in Baton Rouge. However, I'm convinced that we picked the perfect one. It was everything that we needed and more. Each couple had their own spacious room with a King bed. Two of the rooms had their own bathroom and the 3rd & 4th bedroom shared a spacious bathroom. The kitchen was great and had everything that we needed. We were able to stay in and make homemade pizza one evening. My in-laws really enjoyed the front porch and enjoying the neighborhood. We also enjoyed the backyard and the large table and firepit. We all had plenty of room and never felt like we were on top of each other. I especially loved the large dining room table and that they had a couple of puzzles there. I love doing them and never seem to have time at home. We all highly recommend this home and felt so welcomed and comfortable there. The appliances were all easy to use and although not in the descripton, a grill was available to us as well. The only thing that was not present is any kind of dresser for clothes or a luggage racks. We brought chairs in to place our suitcases on as the only clothing storage was the hanging closets. That, however, was a small concession and would not stop us from staying there again. Loved, loved, loved this place!

Lindsay and I purchased the home with our partner Richard in May of 2022. We are happy to host your group for a weekend in Baton Rouge, or a longer stay for someone working at LSU!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Our home features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, an office space for remote work and a fully stocked kitchen. The open concept living, dining and kitchen areas are perfect for entertaining or catching up with friends and family. The house features a whole-home dehumidifier (installed February 2022) that keeps the house cool and dry during the muggy South Louisiana summers. For winter, the main bathroom has heated tile flooring for your comfort. We have two 110v plugs for level 1 EV charging. Enjoy time outside on the front or back patios, each with ample seating.

The 1br/1ba studio apartment in the back yard has a private bathroom with tile shower, a king sized high quality memory foam bed with Pima cotton sheets. The unit is cooled by a Daikin mini split AC, and has a small kitchen area for preparing meals.

Guests can enjoy full access to the front and back yards. The studio apartment located in the back far right of the property. You have the entire property at your disposal.
