Welcome to Reel Simple. This condo is beautifully decorated and has all the comforts of home with incredible lake views. The small bedroom has a TV with basic channels and leads to the galley kitchen which is equipped with an efficiency stove, refrigerator, and microwave. Your modern living room offers a sofa bed, TV, and additional seating for guests. Off the living area is a sliding glass door that leads you out to the private deck overlooking Smith Mountain Lake. There is a small bathroom with starter toiletries provided. This is a perfect condo for a couple looking to get away, a fisherman looking for a record catch on the Blackwater side of the lake, or someone who loves to relax and watch the sunset over the lake. Reel Simple offers you all your basic needs for an enjoyable stay at the lake.

The condo is located in Striper's Landing, which offers a community swimming pool with a kiddy pool open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day, tennis courts, boat trailer storage, a boat launch, a cabana, picnic tables, and community grills.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Location was on the lake

This unit was clean with a great view of the pool and lake. It had some improvements such as new kitchen and bathroom sink. Some upgrades that need done: Get rid of the Murphy bed Remove doors for the Murphy bed to have better access to the closets. Awning needs replaced. A place to put luggage. Such as a bench Additional mirror to get ready. Additional towel racks Front door needs painted Decking needs replaced

If I could give this place no stars I would. We arrived at 10 pm and there was no place to park our boat and trailer. We were told by owner's of another condo that the association lets people from the community store there boats and trailers there and doesn't keep space for renters and owner's. Then the code to the door didn't work to get in, so I had to call to get a new code. The cooking area was far from acceptable. It looked like the owner's had gone to a thrift shop and furnished the place with pieces that were mismatched and broken. the couch was awful and you could hardly sit on it. We went to the boat launch the next day and the key fob would not work, when we called we were told they didn't know why it didn't work. To say this trip was a disaster was an understatement. I would never rent at this facility again. The door code would not work throughout our entire stay, I had to call the facility several times and get new codes, including the day of checkout when I paid to do a late check out at 2 p.m. and they changed the code at 10:00 a.m. and locked me out of the condo. Never again. Also, I tried to reschedule my stay 8 days prior to my arrival due to my mom passing away and I was told I could and then when I gave them dates to reschedule I was told I was no longer allowed because it was not within their 7 day rescheduled window. No concern for my loss or the fact that I was dealing with funeral arrangements and that is why I needed the extra week to reschedule

Good For Couples

The condo is in a great location! The lake view was amazing! Close enough to stores and restaurants but tucked back into a cove that's super quiet! The condo is small, but great for a couple for a weekend getaway!
