Apple Corners is one side of a duplex. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath and is newly remodeled. Wifi and smart tvs are in each bedroom and the living room. An open floor plan is ready for family to enjoy game night, some games and cards provided. Our chickens will provide you with 1 dozen free farm fresh eggs while you are here. Its quiet!Beautiful front deck to enjoy your coffee. We are 2 miles from Ossian and 14 miles from Decorah on a hard surface road. Close enough, but far enough away!!!
The space
This is one side of a duplex, in the country, on hard surface roads. 14 miles from Decorah, 7 miles from Calmar, 2 miles from Ossian. Close enough, but far enough away. Enjoy peace in the country. You may see farmers planting or harvesting, or hear the coyotes. You might even see a pheasant or bald eagle!
Guest access
Your space is a private 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, with a full kitchen condo. Stretch out in the open floor plan, or step outside on the front deck or patio. The front deck and patio is shared with the other side of the duplex, which is a LTR. But the inside of your STR is not accessible by anyone else.
Other things to note
We leave a dozen farm fresh eggs in the refrigerator for you to make breakfast. We leave apples that are grown on the property when in season, and we leave you a sample of locally grown popcorn with a popcorn popper.

Beautiful property! All the comforts of home in a quiet space close to Decorah, plus Culligan water, Kuerig maker and pods, and fresh eggs! The only thing I would ask for would be larger coffee mugs. Highly recommend.

Lovely country get-away! The area is so beautiful it made our eyes hurt. Enjoyed breakfast both mornings on the deck, accompanied by all the birds who have taken up residence in the 5-6 old maples standing tall and protecting the house. Even saw our first ever red-headed woodpecker! Apple Corner was just what we expected…a cute, welcoming place. And a dozen fresh eggs from the chickens roosting nearby. Totally recommend!

Perfect

Quiet, clean, convenient with great perks such as fresh eggs, water bottle and porch. It is not in the traffic of things but close and convenient to all the attractions. Definitely will stay there again!

Tami and her family were wonderful hosts! We thoroughly enjoyed the impromptu tour to see the chickens, bunnies, and chinchilla. We came to decorah to visit our daughter at Luther College, and this was the perfect place to stay. The home was very clean and spacious. The farm fresh eggs, apples, pears, and popcorn made for a tasty welcoming gift!

We loved this place! Tami and her family were friendly and helpful, but not at all obtrusive. The property was very neat and clean and had everything we could have wanted or needed. It was lovely. The location is rural, which means that the views are amazing and the place is quiet. We just loved it, and would return here. Thanks!

Apple Corners

I loved staying here. I loved sitting on the deck drinking my coffee watching the different birds,(including the chickens)! One of them really liked my husband!!! I was very impressed and delighted to find out there was an adjustable bed!! I had just had hip surgery the month prior to our stay and this made my stay fabulous!! It was very quiet and peaceful and I enjoyed every minute I spent there. Thanks and I hope we can come back in the near future.

Top of the Hill in Midwest

Staying in this house was absolutely relaxing with its nice location at a hill. The owner family lives nearby which makes it easy to communicate. It’s very specious with two identical bedrooms and a large living room. Fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed. We came over for college visits to the nearby Luther College but this place is perfect if you are looking for a silent and remote place to relax. Special thanks for the fresh farm eggs! Which tasted better than the usual supermarket eggs.😊 We will definitely book again if we are in the area.
