Hickory Hideaway- 5 BR 4 BA with game room and indoor fire place

Welcome to the Hickory Hideaway! This 5 BR, 4 BA home is located in the heart of Wintergreen Resort. The home features a wood burning indoor fire place, 2 main level master suites, and a fully stocked kitchen. Downstairs you will find an additional gathering area and game room featuring a pool table, dart board, bar, card table and an assortment of games. All TVs (Living Room, Game Room & 2 Master BRs) are equipped with Youtube TV and Roku for all streaming services. Washer/Dryer and Wi-Fi are included. With 5 bedrooms and a loft, this home sleeps up to 12.

Due to the steepness of the staircase to the loft area, we request that the loft is only used by individuals 12+ years of age.

To ensure the security of our guests, there is one security camera located on the exterior of the home.

As a first responder family, we are honored to extend a 5% discount on the nightly rental rate to all Fire/EMS, Police, Healthcare workers, and Teachers. To obtain discount, please send us a message with proof of employment prior and requested dates prior to booking.

The host was responsive and very accommodating. The property was perfect for a family gathering. The young adults were happy in the downstairs area with a game room and the 2 bedrooms and bath. The fireplace was so cozy and warm. The weather was a little on the warm side until the last day, thankfully the slopes were open and some of us got in some skiing and snowboarding. I highly recommend this property for a large group. It will not disappoint.

House living room rug disgusting - covered with pet hair. Blood on one bedrooms sheet. Another bedrooms pillow covers were musty and smelled bad. Living room ceiling fan covered with dust. Kitchen floor very dirty.Loved the layout of the house. Big open space in basement was nice for the little ones to play. Enjoyed the big tv in the family room. Sorry we didn’t get to use the big deck and fire pit. Looked lovely!

The house was clean, spacious, and had any appliance you could need. I plan on coming back for a ski/snowboard trip and if it’s available I’ll stay at this house again. Mallory was my point of contact and I never had to wait more than a few minutes for a response to any message I sent.

Great home for a group with kids

We were two families - 4 adults and 4 kids and this house was the perfect size for us. We loved having the large basement for the kids to hang in and have independence and the living area with big tv and fireplace was the perfect way to unwind after skiing. We made a big pasta dinner in the kitchen one night and it had all the necessities.

Mountain Property - Beautiful!

Mallory made the entire experience great, and was a joy to communicate with. The property easily held 12 people and was clean, spacious and a fun place to gather. We would recommend this property to anyone!

The house had lots of great space for our family. The pool table was a great addition to our evening fun. The kitchen was well stocked. The host was very responsive and amazing to work with. We didn’t have batteries to replace the TV remote in the basement. I asked and she replied right away. Although l, we didn’t find any and couldn’t use the TV for our stay, she was very kind and responsive. We also asked to have a fire. There is ample wood provided. However, bring paper and starting supplies! We couldn’t get a fire going as there wasn’t any paper to use. The beds are firm, so if you are looking for plush mattresses, this might not work. Lots of sheets, pillows and extra blankets provided. Ample towels as well. The home was clean on arrival and well kept. We loved the layout of the house. It’s a 5 min drive to the main lodge and ski area. Beautiful scenery on the way! Parking can be a challenge with all your gear, so go early!

Great ski weekend

We stayed for the weekend to ski. The property was fantastic and in excellent condition. The more recent upgrades were thought out nicely (bathroom showers for example). We enjoyed the layout of the home, and the bottom floor area and rooms were nice and quiet - no noise from footsteps above. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a larger family or group to stay in the home comfortably. We also liked the 8 person round table in the kitchen that allowed a larger family to sit and eat while making great use of space. Once other nice thing about this home was that it was the great lighting. The overhead lighting in rooms really helps brighten them up - we like well lit rooms and lighting here hit the spot. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Great house for large group - well stocked and great layout.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. We stayed here with our 3 kids and 5 of their friends for our son's birthday. The layout is perfect for a family with teenagers/kids as they loved the basement area. Location was perfect: close by to the lodge and skiing/tubing. The house was well stocked, very clean and the owner was so great to work with and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely book again.
