Escape to this cozy four-season mountain retreat tucked away on a private wooded lot in the heart of Wintergreen Resort. Perfect for families, friends, girls’ weekends, reunions, and couples’ getaways, this traditional mountain home combines comfort, adventure, and relaxation.

Walk to Wintergreen Resort dining, market, spa, and slopes — then return home to unwind by the wood-burning fireplace or soak in your private hot tub surrounded by serene woods.

The Space
This mountain-style home sits on a private ½-acre wooded lot with a small creek and trails right outside the door. The home features two separate levels, each with bedrooms, a bathroom, and its own living area — giving families and groups room to spread out.

Sleeping arrangements include:
2 king bedrooms
1 queen bedroom
1 bunk bed with trundle

The home comfortably sleeps up to 9 guests in designated sleeping areas. We allow up to 10 guests for families with babies or young children. A Pack ’n Play is available.

After a day of skiing, hiking, or exploring, gather around the fireplace, watch a movie, play games, or relax under the stars in the hot tub.

Outdoor Adventures:
Step out into the backyard and connect with Wintergreen’s trail system - the Laurel Ridge Loop is right off the property, and can be used to walk to the market. The resort boasts miles of scenic mountain trails. Enjoy morning coffee on the deck, listen to the creek, or simply relax in the quiet of the woods.

Wintergreen Resort offers year-round activities including skiing, snowboarding, tubing, scenic chairlift rides, festivals, hiking, mountain biking, and summer concerts.

Ski, snowboard, or tube at Wintergreen Resort, then return to your own cozy cabin for hot chocolate by the fire, a relaxing soak in the hot tub, or cuddle up for a family movie night.

Spring:
Hike from your backyard, explore waterfalls, enjoy mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, and local dining.

Summer:

Great location, Fun house with a loft and games that our kids loved. Cozy fireplace. Nice hot tub. Went on a very cold weekend and the floorboard heating couldn’t quite keep up.

So glad you all had a nice stay! You certainly did have an unusually cold weekend. There is a mini-split in addition to the baseboard heaters that you can use upstairs (we will be installing them downstairs as well this spring so it should be plenty warm even on super cold days). Please call next time and we will make sure you stay nice and warm! So glad the kids enjoyed the space. Hope you got some good skiing in, too!

We had such a great stay here! The host did such a beautiful and wonderful job decorating! The host did a terrific job making this house feel like a home. Beyond that, the location was perfect! Within a minute of the slopes and top of the mountain. This allowed for my family to be able to ski in and out and grab a bite to eat without hassle! Overall such a great experience would recommend to anyone!

A lifelong Virginia resident, I grew up hiking and camping in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I love the outdoors, and this beautiful area of Virginia holds a special place in my heart. We are thrilled to be able to share this home with others, and to offer your family and friends (or maybe just yourself) a chance to relax, connect, and rejuvenate in this beautiful setting.

This is not just a rental, but our home away from home. We strive to make the property welcoming for guests so that you feel as “at home” here as we do.

We share this home with our dear family friends - our children have been friends since they were toddlers - and our two families look forward to making many memories together here!

We loved this home because of its private, wooded lot, and yet it’s a short walk to all the Wintergreen amenities. A hiking trail in our own backyard?! Perfect. We saw the little stream in the backyard and imagined our kids catching crayfish and playing in the water. The deck overlooking the forrest, the huge windows and cozy fireplace…. What’s not to love? And we aren’t done yet. We plan to put lots of love into refreshing the home and making it a truly cozy cabin. Our families (including our kids) plan to work hard to make this our perfect family retreat.

The wintergreen area offers so much, both within and outside of the resort. With lakes, breweries, hiking, waterfalls, and the Blue Ridge Parkway nearby, there’s something to do in every season.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Of all the rental options in Wintergreen, we think this one is a real gem. It’s small and cozy, with a fireplace, wood beams, and vaulted ceilings that give you the true “ski lodge” feel. With 4 bedrooms (all with windows) and 2 full baths on two separate levels, it’s ideal for being together but having separate spaces. As a stand alone house on a larger lot, you get all the great things about a ski resort (eg the beauty, close proximity to the lodge and lifts, the cabin feel) without all the downsides of some other options (eg the condo noise, the fight for parking spaces). The house is so close to the slopes, restaurants, and market that you can walk- and during ski season its 2 minutes to drive your gear up to the lodge. You have a private hot tub, two decks, and did I mention the trail in your own backyard??! If you are looking for character and convenience, this is a great choice!
