Staunton Underground is a newly renovated space, located next to the Woodrow Wilson Library and centrally located to all of Downtown Staunton's shops and restaurants.

Staunton Underground is a two bedroom-unit that comfortably sleeps four, with modern updates and original, exposed brick walls. Park your car and walk everywhere while you explore Staunton during your getaway!

Staunton Underground is located in the bottom floor of a historic home. This unit does not have any stairs and is all one level living. A breakdown of the layout is explained below:

BEDROOM 1: Queen bed, two nightstands with lamps (USB plugins for easy phone charging), armchair, DOHM sound machine, luggage rack, closet with hangers.

LIVING ROOM: Sofa that seats 2 (additional armchair seating is available - feel free to arrange the other armchairs in the unit around the sitting area), smart TV (please login to your own streaming platforms), and coffee table.

KITCHEN: Fully stocked kitchen with all major appliances. The stove is electric and the coffee maker is a Keurig - K Cups, creamer, and sugar provided!

DINING: Dining table with seating for 4

BEDROOM 2: Full bed, dresser, small WFH desk with stool, lamp with USB port for easy charging, and closet.

OUTDOOR: Patio with outdoor seating for 2.

Guests will have access to the entire unit and will be able to access it with a keypad door lock.

Other things to note:
Staunton Underground is located on the bottom floor with easy access to the parking lot. You may run into another neighbor from an upstairs unit during your stay, but Staunton Underground is still very private, while centrally located.

We are dog-friendly and happy to host your pup with a pet fee, but please notes that dogs must be under 25 pounds and well-behaved. No cats, fines may apply.

It was a nice place and clean, but we probably won't return. Only because the bathroom is really small and there's really nowhere else to do hair/make-up. Now, it is a very old building so I understand they are limited on space/resources. Someone else may have no issue with this at all. It is very cute, it was clean, beds are comfortable, and all amenities as listed. It is a great location to downtown, super short walk. It's just not ideal for us.

There are a couple things that would make it better we only had a half a roll of toilet paper and 4 Kleenex in the boxIt would be good to have backupThe door to the front bedroom and bathroom very bad making it hard not to wake someone during the night. Great spot to walk in downtown historic area and across from MBU.

Great walkable town perfect place to stay near everything

We enjoyed our stay and how easy it was to get everywhere we wanted to be in downtown staunton. Other than driving to the train we walked everywhere it was very convenient

Great location and just as advertised

My sister and I spent 3 nights here and it was perfect. We are both senior citizens but could easily walk everywhere from this location. The beds are super comfortable and the linens and towels are the highest quality. Kitchen is modern and fully stocked. Bathroom is small but adequate. The living room furniture is also small to fit the space and not so great for lounging but fine for our purposes. I would definitely stay here again if I ever get back to the area.

This little nook was spotless, nicely decorated, warmly lit, fabulous linens and well appointed kitchen. It was a convenient walk to all of the historic district. The management staff was quick to respond and very helpful. Highly recommend!

My wife and I were going to Staunton,VA and needed a place to stay. SU was a lovely location and the owners did supply everything needed. The bed was very comfortable.The location was excellent, within walking distance of everything we wanted to see.

Comfortable and close

This was easy to find in town and very easy access since it’s on the ground floor and certainly excellent for folks like me who came in for the Stanton bicycle fall festival. The place was a bit smaller than I had imagined, but perhaps that was just me. The host were very responsive. And pleasant. The place was reasonably clean. However, for the price that we pay for cleaning fees, I would’ve thought when I moved the coffee table out of the way so I can stretch and do some yoga on the floor I would not have found dirt underneath the coffee table, and there was also an old dog bone under the couch. The beds were very comfortable and I would certainly stay there again

Location, Location, Location
 we will be back.

Perfect walking distance to Black Friars, Main/ Beverly st downtown shops and restaurants. We parked the car in the reserved spot and didn't need it to go anywhere. We walked to all our desired destinations, it’s all so very close by not too close. There was no street noise. Apartment was bigger than expected, loved the exposed brick. Very nicely decorated with upscale amenities.We enjoyed the provided coffee. The host was quickly available when I had a problem accessing the check in information from a different device. She sent it directly to my phone. We would definately stay here again. The extra touches like the robes, the dishwasher and even me an older adult could work the voice activated TV.
