This newly remodeled apartment featuring mid-century modern decor is not only superbly located but it’s also a memorable lodging experience you’ll want to repeat. A stay in our Gospel Hill 2-bed, 1-bath apartment places you at the epicenter of a vibrant downtown culture while surrounding you with the style, luxurious details, and enchanting ease of a well-appointed home. Whether you are in town on vacation or business or for a function at nearby Mary Baldwin University, this fully equipped space with unique window-on-the-city views is a great spot for all you have planned.

EAT-IN-KITCHEN: fully stocked kitchen with over, fridge, microwave, Keurig, coffee pot, toaster, plus dining space for 4 guests

BEDROOM 1: queen bed, nightstands with lamps, dresser, smart TV

BEDROOM 2: full bed with twin trundle, nightstands with lamps, dresser, smart TV

BATHROOM: Single vanity, toilet, shower/tub combo, toiletries provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and lotion)

- This is a multi-unit building with designated parking behind the unit and free street parking. There are stairs to navigate from the street to the unit and to upstairs bedrooms, so the unit may not be ideal for anyone with limited mobility.
- Please understand there are other tenants in the building, so you may hear the comings and goings of those tenants from time to time.
- Staunton’s quaint charm includes the occasional sounds of the train, which comes through the historic station located in downtown. Please be aware that you may hear this during your stay.
- NO pets, violations subject to fines.

This is my third stay in this sweet apartment. Each time is a warm welcome. The apartment is clean & well appointed. The kitchen is completely stocked & available for full use. The shops & Saturday Farmer’s Market are all within walking distance. It’s a great place to stay.

The location of the Overlook, is convenient to downtown, and all I wanted to do. The apartment is very well appointed from front porch, to living space, to kitchen, bedrooms & bath. I was comfortable & well taken care of.

Like home

The property is extremely well to maintained, adorably decorated, and in the perfect location. The outer space was one of the highlights of my stay. What property manager responded very quickly to any questions that I had and was very helpful and personable. You will thoroughly enjoy. If you're looking something close to the Shakespeare Center, and downtown this is the place. Additional shopping is a short drive away and the town itself is adorable.

So happy with The Overlook

The Overlook was so clean, updated, well stocked, comfortable and close to everything we were in town for. We loved reading on the porch by the gas fire pit. This place has all the little extras that makes a vrbo experience special. I wish we had a few more days there!

I am so happy with the choice we made to stay in The Overlook

The place was amazing. Well stocked, super clean, comfortable. It was right around the corner from the theater (one reason we were in town), Woodrow Wilson museum, and shops and eateries. Parking was convenient and we loved sitting on the porch with the gas fire pit.

Great Stay in Staunton

This apartment is as beautiful as the pictures show. Everything is walkable in Staunton and the apartment is in the midst of the town. The living area is comfortable & roomy. The kitchen is very well appointed & was used often. The bed & bath were comfortable & clean. I would recommend this apartment & will come again myself.

Long weekend with college bestie

We LOVE Staunton and this VRBO was excellent! The beds were comfy (& I’m picky). The porch was a great place to hang out. The kitchen was well appointed. Temperature controls were easy for this menopausal woman! I use a sound machine for sleep but even my friend (in the other bedroom) said it was quiet (with guests below) The train was never an issue.Easy walking distance for all Staunton has to offer! Don’t miss a performance at the Blackfriars Shakespearean Theatre, wonderfully delicious pastries at Reunion Bakery and delightful gelato at The Split Banana! Enjoy your stay!

Perfect stay

Great apartment to stay in the quaint town of Staunton: comfortable furnishings and bed, well stocked kitchen, nicely decorated and easy walking distance to the movie theater, shops and a variety of wonderful restaurants. The EV charger was a bonus convenience. Communicating with the host was easy and prompt!

Cute Property and Perfect Location

The property was ideally located downtown and in walkable distance to all of the area restaurants and retail stores. It is beautifully renovated with all of the up-to-date amenities and is well-stocked with everything you might need during your stay. Communication was easy with the management company and the website gave us everything we needed to check in and area details. This property is at the top of our list for our next visit!

Staunton

We immediately felt at home as soon as we entered the apartment. It had many little touches that made it so comfortable. It was clean and well equipped. The hostess was amazing with communication. Staunton is a cute town with so much to do. The restaurants were great and they have many cute small shops. We would definitely return if we are passing through the area again.

Perfect location for our needs

Although not much time was spent at the property except to sleep since my husband was visiting his son that lives 1/2 mile away, it was a pleasant and clean apartment. Would definitely consider staying here again for the next trip.
