Ce 4 chambres, 2. 5 salles de bain, entièrement meublé maison de 1800 pieds carrés, se trouve sur 2 hectares en bordure de la forêt nationale et juste à côté de Venable Creek. La chambre principale a un lit king size, dressing et salle de bain complète. La cuisine est entièrement équipée et comprend une laveuse et une sécheuse. Attaché à la cuisine, une salle à manger avec vue et un salon avec foyer au bois. A l'étage, 3 chambres. Situé dans un cadre alpin, il est à moins de 0,5 mile du début du sentier Venable, Comanche et Rainbow. Télévision directe avec toutes les chaînes disponibles sur les téléviseurs à écran plat dans le salon et la chambre avec lits superposés pour enfants.

The Venable Cabin is a wonderful place to get away to relax and enjoy the mountain air and scenery. The cabin is very neat and clean and has most everything you need. We enjoyed the sound of the creek in the back of the cabin. The host was very easy to communicate with as well.

Our stay at Richard’s place in Westcliffe was wonderful! The property is stunning and clearly well-tended to. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay for our friends wedding. We came from the east coast so this quiet getaway, unplugged, enjoying the creek and scenery was better than we even expected. Due to the wildfires we were not able to utilize the grill or fire table but that did not put a damper on the stay at all— the kitchen is perfect and well-equipped. The stargazing in this area is unlike anything I’ve ever seen! I would absolutely come back and recommend this home for your trip!

This is an amazing cabin. It is very clean and well-maintained. The host is great and very easy to get in touch with. The creek beside the back porch is glorious. The cabin is very close to two trailheads if you’re a hiker. We have been to the Westcliffe area a dozen or so times over 15 years and this is one of the best rentals in the valley. 5 stars.

Very nice and relaxing place to stay. I enjoyed sitting on the swing by the creek in the mornings. There are several nice trails in the area for hiking; some can be pretty strenuous. There was quite a bit of rain the last couple days of our stay, but there are some games at the cabin to play and we watched a couple movies. We grilled several nights on the gas grill. There is also a gas fire-pit table that I meant to try out, but I kept finding myself pulled to the swing by the creek. We did not need anything during our stay, but I'm sure Richard would have responded quickly if we had needed anything. Definitely a nice place to stay and relax.

Wonderful Place to Relax!

Very nice place to spend relaxing time in a beautiful setting! Great remote location and close to some amazing trail heads. Facility was nicely furnished, and we didn't lack anything during our stay!

Great summer getaway

Overall the stay was great! Everything was well stocked and clean. The views were amazing and it was fun to hang out on the patio near the creek. The hike the owner suggested was a little harder than we expected but was beautiful.

After the Navy I spent 28 years with Continental Airlines (27 as a Captain ) flying Domestic and International routes. I currently live in Denver.

Sitting on 1.8 acres of land the Venerable Cabin has a serene and relaxed feeling creating a time for family games and memory-making experiences. We love spending Thanksgiving at the cabin.
Westcliffe is a sleeping jewel in a beautiful valley with magnificent mountains. The community recently received International Dark Skies recognition for the communities shaded lighting which preserves the night time views of the Milky Way and the stars above creating an incredible and moving experience.
Summertime in the small town of Westcliffe has offered us a variety of activities. With an outdoor theatre in the park, The Blue Grass Festival, Western Days, Movies at the local theatre, along with local fun unique shops.

We Love Enjoying the dry heat of the summer days along with the cool nights, listening to the stream in the background, and coming in the fall and see the spectacular sight of the Aspens turning to gold.
