Clean, with a nice snack basket in the living room and another in the kitchen. It's a very nice old house, but if you are staying there in the winter you need to be aware that there is a single heater in the dinet, and all doors need to be left open for heat to get into all rooms.

Loved staying at the house. It was clean and just as described in the listing. The national park had trails and sights a few miles from the house with Sandstone and Brooks Falls being close by as well as Big Branch Trail and the Gwinn Ridge trails.

The owner of the house could not make it any better. I know some people have complained about the water that is just a part of living in rural West Virginia. The house is clean the owner provide you with snacks and coffee. They even left a little scavenger hunt for my kids. The property is close to a bunch of fishing spots and boat put in when I go back to the new river. I will stay here again.

Great location for our stopover to Flt 93 and onward to Buffalo

Great location for our stopover to Flt 93 and onward to Buffalo. A little of a blind spot pulling onto road out of the driveway. Would stay there again.

We were VERY SATISFIED and pleased with the accommodations that the owners provided with this nice cozy but spacious rental house!! It had all of the features of home. It was furnished with all that you could possibly need and then some. Everything was done and ready for us to move right in and start our getaway and relaxation. The property was very quiet, manicured and spacious outside. And the inside was very clean, up to date. Great bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom were good sized, freshly painted and had all of nice furniture, bedding and linens needed. We can’t say enough about this place honestly. And definitely have plans for coming back in the Fall when the the leaves are turning!! West Virginia is one of the most beautiful states in the US and this area is right in the middle of all that beauty!!

Not Fancy but incredible attention to detail

Comfortable, enjoyable place to stay

Warm and cozy with space away from neighbors. The check-in and out was super easy. The host was contacted and answered back very quickly. The snacks in the baskets were a wonderful touch. It was just the right size with comfortable rooms. The location was not far from all the places including New River Gorge National Park. It was a nice place to come home to after a long day of hiking.

Well-stocked and cozy

Wonderfully cozy and well-stocked rental. Directions were easy and location was ideal for the National Park. Only complaint is the neighbors had a bonfire party at 1:30 am, but probably just an unlucky thing! Would recommend.

Great lil cottage

Arrived to an extremely clean house that was cozy and comfortable. Cute interior with lots of character. Coffee station welcome sign and plenty of games. Ample space for what you need. Close to New River, Sandstone and the lil town. Was cold and snowy when we arrived and they had been sure to have walk and drive scraped. The host went the extra mile. Very understanding when we had to leave for an emergency. Recommend staying here will plan to be back in summer.

A Perfect Gettaway & Visit

We all enjoyed our stay back in our hometown of Hinton, WV. The location was close to our main event, Train Days! Plus, it was a wonderful, quiet house where we could hear the river. Everything was clean and nice and exceeded our expectations. Thank you for everything.

Cute and cozy place to enjoy the great outdoors!

We came to hike in the woods and enjoyed two days of the outdoors. The house was cozy and well kept. Beds were comfortable, just a bit high up. The house is in an out of the way area, private and quiet. The run to the road can sneak up on you - pay close attention to the signs. There was a minor issue with gnats in the common area and we decided to leave a day early. The property owner promptly came over to see the issue and comped a night due to the issue. She was sympathetic and responsive.

This place was super cute and cozy. The location was conveniently located and not that hard to find. The host was flexible and allowed us a little extra time at check out to which we spent enjoying on the front porch this beautiful fall morning.

Lovely home, great location

The home was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had no stocked pantry items so if you plan on cooking while there you will need to bring everything with you (although there are two nearby grocery stores). The location was perfect for checking out the nearby state and national parks which was why I chose it. It felt safe and was a quiet location. I would go back if ever in the area again.

Easy to find; across the road from the river; quiet and peaceful! Great little house; very clean; well stocked--cookies, snack cakes, chips, popcorn.... Window A/C units in living room and botb bedrooms; both beds are very comfortable but extremely high
