Redbird Cottage. Charming respite w/ large wrap-around porch and ocean views

Redbird Cottage is perched near the top of a hill overlooking Linekin Bay. The well-loved house exudes comfort and the sense of family. It accommodates 6 adults comfortably.
Your favorite place to enjoy the view and our wonderful ocean breeze will be the wrap-around porch. Pick a place to relax in sun or shade and you will be greeted with birdsong from many varieties of feathered friends. The osprey, sea gulls and even eagles soaring overhead will distract you from the good book you may have settled down to read.
A morning stroll will take you down the hill to the General Store where many gourmet delights await you. Try a breakfast pizza, then take your coffee back to the town dock to watch the boats come in and out of the busy little harbor. Some guests have been known to take a dip off the dock on a nice day.
Back at "home", Redbird's kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and appliances for meal prep. A gas grill sits on the side deck waiting to help you show off your grilling prowess.
There is a large family dining table that seats 8 and looks out on the front porch with the bay view beyond or enjoy the glass top dining table which is ideal for appetizers or meals on the porch.
The living room provides plenty of spaces for relaxation and entertainment. Games are provided for guests of all ages and there is a cable TV, and DVD/VHS player. On a cool evening, pop some corn, flick on the gas fireplace, and choose a movie from the large selection of older " classics" we have kept for your enjoyment.
There is a small room off the living room with a piano for those who enjoy playing, and a day bed which is perfect for grabbing a nap on a lazy afternoon.
The downstairs bathroom has a stall shower, and a stacked washer/ dryer for your convenience.
There is a full bathroom with tub/shower on the second floor and three bedrooms consisting of 2 ocean-view rooms, one with a double bed, and one with 2 twins. The third bedroom is fitted with a queen bed as well as a day bed (perfect for parents with a young child).
Redbird is a wonderful base for many activities such as hiking and exploring myriad trails and nature preserves, or visiting neighboring towns and beautiful areas on or off the peninsula.
Be sure to experience Ocean Point which is a 10-minute drive from the cottage. Here you can walk or drive a 2.5mile loop, stopping here and there to walk down to the water's edge, sit on the rocks to soak up the views, or stop and chat with local residents out working in their gorgeous flower gardens. Don't miss it! You will want to go back.
East Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor are working fishing and lobstering villages and while both are summer communities, the "Harbor" is livelier by far because of the many restaurants, shops and boating opportunities. Consider a whale watch, an island clambake, a visit to the Botannical Gardens, or an excursion boat ride around the harbor islands or to Monhegan Island to spend the day. The possibilities are endless and, best of all, at the close of your day, you will return to your home-away-from-home, Redbird Cottage.

Property is accessed solely by 2 sets of 9 stairs interrupted by deck landing. There is no handicap access.
Linens and towels are provided and professionally laundered between stays.
Toilet tissue and paper towels are supplied.

The East Boothbay boat launch is just 1/4 mile down the hill on the right.
There is room to park three vehicles in the unpaved parking area
at the side of the house.
