Welcome aboard The Carolina Speakeasy!! There is a galley with ample seating for a great meal. We have provided all utensils needed and even have stovetop. There are 2 small cabins and a queen cabin. We prefer use of marina facilities for shower and etc. We do have a composting toilet system for emergencies only. Please try to use Marina facilities for toileting.
Enjoy yourself on upper deck and let all your troubles fade away. We can’t wait to have you aboard!
Parking in summer months can be a challenge please message me if you have a problem.

Note: there is no shower onboard but we have great marina showers!

Loved everything about our time here!

We had the absolute best time on the boat. It was dreamy and romantic, we felt like we were somewhere far far away. They provided every single thing we needed. I highly recommend booking this place, it’s a trip you won’t soon forget.

Our family and pups had a great time on this sailboat! Super clean and close to everything in Carolina Beach! Host was very nice and responsive. Will be back with the husband for a romantic stay, but the kids thought it was very cool :)

First time sleeping on a boat!

This was our first time spending the night on a sailboat! The weather was awful but assisted in rocking us to sleep. Looking forward to another stay in nicer weather so we could enjoy the marina and outdoor areas of boat as well. Thank you!

Gorgeous relaxation

Sunrise at the beach and sunsets on the deck of the boat. If you are looking to unplug and relax this is perfect. The boat is charming, the Marina is pretty calm and we slept great. Several dog-friendly beaches in the area. Great hosts as well! We will definitely be back. Would love to do a fall/winter stay. Highly recommend.

Awesome stay!

We went during a gale force wind storm, rain but I loved it, just wanted to relax and have never slept on a boat before, I love the rocking of the boat, sound of the wind and rain. Never turned on the tv, it was "The Sound of Silence" Awesome stay!

Magical Experience

This was the most unique and magical experience. I could have honestly just stayed in the boat for our entire stay. Owner has is decorated so nicely and the boat is glorious in its restored beauty. Felt so Royal, and like we were in another era. I WILL be back for sure. Be sure to check out Island Burgers and fries that’s right down the road! Fun way to stay close to the beach!

My family of 3 plus our dog comfortably enjoyed our stay! Everything was clean and commucation with Chrysan was exceptional! We have a 50 pound dog so that was a little tricky getting her in and out for the cabin. I didn't think that through when we decided to bring her! I just mention that in case anyone has an bigger dog that you'd need to carry down the ladder. This was such a fun way to experience boat life close to the beach. Thank you for having us!

Such unique accommodations

We had a great stay that will be talked about for years. We arrived after dark which made navigating the marina and getting settled a challenge. However, communication from the host, prior to our arrival, made it easier! Chrysan was very hepful throughout our stay. Even answering questions about parking at the beach. Our family of 5, 2 adults, 2 teens and 1 preteen fit well. The Marina bathrooms are just a minute away and there is a small public beach just behind the marina. The older boat with original fixtures made this a very cool experience.

Charming & adventurous!

This is a charming, well-maintained sailboat! It is, of course, a boat, and so one should go in expecting that many things may work slightly differently than if you were staying in a generic condo. If that caveat doesn't give you pause, then you will likely have a great time, as we did. We did in fact see dolphins just outside the marina, though I understand that dolphin sightings are not necessarily included with the rental. :)

This is a true experience not everyone gets to have and that’s what I enjoy giving to others not hotel standard it’s like slightly upscale camping on the water! We would love to host you again!

Unique overnight

My family was looking for somewhere to stay the night before Thanksgiving as we were coming in from out of town just for the day. Although we are boat people, we have never stayed on a sailboat so figured we would give it a go. The marina it turned out was actually attached to the venue where we were married 16yrs ago. So it was a nice surprise. The boat is older and has a few maintenance needs. As it was we arrived after dark so we had some confusion on the interior lights but managed all the same. Everyone slept well & the marina facilities were great for showering. The views even in the cold & rain (raining when we arrived) were soothing.

Great experience

I took my sons to the beach for a much needed get away. I wanted to give them a different experience than normal and this fir perfectly. They were super excited. Everything was nice and tidy. However the bathroom didnt work. Not a big deal since the marina was just a short walk away. Wifi didnt work either unfortunately, wasnt a big deal however since thats exactly what i wanted - a break from phones. Beds were clean. Plenty of blankets, but we couldnt find towels (we didnt bring our own since i saw they were provided) but we made do. Overall the experience was great. We all loved it.

Thank you for staying ! I wish you would have messaged me about the Wi-Fi it’s a pocket wifi has to be plugged in if dead or taken off the plug to work off the battery. Thank you for letting me know about the towels I’ll definitely talk to cleaner about making sure towels are left for guests they are usually left in cabinet under bed in Captains Quarters since bathroom has limited space. The bathroom toilet is a camping toilet it runs off water in it’s tank. It seems the cleaner did not fill it so that it would be able to flush. Next time you stay I’ll give you a step by step. Please come stay with us again I’ll be happy to help you with anything I can :)

Disappointed

Beautiful boat. Water didn’t work . AC was not sufficient. Toilet leaked. Bed was not made upon arrival. Beer bottles were in trash can in kitchen area when we arrived. Dirty dish in sink upon arrival. We explained this to the owner. She was extremely nice, however offered no reimbursement or discount, instead she attempted to justify all complaints .

The boat is cute. Definitely be prepared to stay in a small space with limited windows. We were told on the way up water was not working but would be fixed when we arrived, not the case. No water to use. Had to go to bath house to use restrooms and to shower. No TV and or Internet. After checking in and not able to have the amenities listed we left for a hotel. Recommend getting confirmation of all amenities are working prior to arrival. The owner was kind, however no refund offered.

Too Hot for comfort

Just prior to arrival we received an email letting us know that the water was broke and someone would be by in the morning with water. When we arrived it was easy enough to find the boat. When we got on board and went down below it was 90+ degrees with the portable AC they had installed. We contacted the owners and started working on solutions for the problem with them. We put the covers over the sky lights which had been left off, we closed the cabin area and kitchen area off from the aft and went out to explore to see if it would catch up. When we returned it was 90 degrees. After some conversations with the owner we decided to stick it out for one night and see if the AC could catch up. We went to dinner and a walk on the Boardwalk. Got back and it was down to 88 degrees and even hotter in the bedroom area. We adjusted the unit so it would blow into the bed area a little more and moved fans around. We didn’t sleep that much that night. When we got up at 6:30 it was 85 degrees after all night with the AC running. After a discussion between ourselves we decided we had made a good try of it but didn’t see it getting any better. We let the owner know we were leaving. The boat has some issues that don’t seem to be being taken care of. The owner makes the comment that it is an older boat and it will be more like camping in the email you get just before arrival. We asked for a refund for the one night but nothing back from the owners.
