Eastbound Historic Beach Cottage-A block from Beach and Boardwalk-Pet Friendly

About this space
Eastbound is a 1940's beach cottage that has been lovingly restored to preserve the charm of a nostalgic beach house but with modern comforts such as new HVAC, new bathroom, full kitchen and outdoor shower. Conveniently located 50 steps from the beach and across the street from Tony Silvagni's surf school and beach equipment rental shop. No need to get in your car once you arrive.
The house is pet friendly and there is a $75 pet fee. Alert us when booking if you plan to bring a pet.
The space
The historic beach cottage has original bead board walls and hardwood floors all carefully restored. The common areas are spacious and comfortable. The front porch has comfy chairs and a table for dining and enjoying the ocean breezes.

Comforters and pillows are provided but we do not provide sheets or towels and this is reflected in the rate. Most people bring their own or Seaside Linens can rent linens and we are happy to assist in any way.

The house sleeps 6 in well appointed bedrooms complete with 2 new queen mattresses and a bunk bed room for the kids.

There is wifi in the home and tv has a Roku device so you can access your Netflix, Amazon and Hulu etc. channels.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a full sized refrigerator, oven and microwave for cooking meals at home.

Friendly pets are welcome however there is a $75 pet fee.

Parking for up to 3 cars is not an issue as long as your vehicle is not oversized and can fit down a narrow driveway.

Guests have full access to the home and yard.
Other things to note
Starting in 2020 we are not providing sheets or towels. Additionally we are taking all CDC recommended cleaning and disinfecting steps between guests. Seaside Linens can rent linens and we are happy to assist in any way.

The house is dog friendly for a $75 fee. Please let us know if you intend to bring a dog.

This was the perfect house for a birthday beach trip with my mom and my dog. The host was very friendly and responsive. The location is great as you can walk to several restaurants, shops, and the beach access is very close!

This was the cutest little cottage. It was a girls trip, and we felt safe, the beach and boardwalk were so close ,it made our getaway so nice we parked the car and didnt need it till we were leaving i'd recommend this place and I will be back .

House was not as clean as expected…no dishwasher provider, which is not a problem, but they did not provide dish drainer, no trash bags, and 1 roll of paper towels and toilet paper. Also when we got there, there was a dead bug…(roach), thought it would be okay…the 2nd night it had stormed and more roach’s came in… told the owner and explained that me and my kids were not comfortable staying so we left… and all she said was she was sorry it happened…

This is completely untrue. The house is professionally cleaned between guests and professionally exterminated. If there were issues with cleanliness, lack of supplies such as trash bags etc guests are encouraged to contact me and I’ll address right away. When this guest contacted me about bugs I told her I’d call my exterminator. She told me they would check out early because her kids wanted to go home. I was at the house later that day with the exterminator and we found no evidence of any infestation. No issues of bugs with other guests before or after this guest. I’m not sure what was going on but she never complained about any of these issues while she was there and the one issue she did complain about she left before I could address it. Such a bummer

Close to the beach, very walkable to lots of shops, the boardwalk. You are unfortunately required to bring your own sheets, towels, shower hair products and soaps. Comforters and pillows were a bit stained, consider bringing your own. Otherwise enjoyed our stay!
