Golden Girls Cottage in Historic Mansion District

Welcome to the Golden Girls cottage! Our home is located in Wilmington's historic mansion district and offers convenient, modern amenities in one of Wilmington's most charming neighborhoods. Located within walking distance of the popular Cargo District as well as the Soda-pop district, there are endless options for fun. Restaurants, bars, and shops are plentiful. Wilmington is a very inclusive community, and we are LGBTQ+ owned and friendly!

At the Golden Girls Cottage, you will get all the charm this historic neighborhood has to offer while enjoying the comfortable and well-appointed space that we have prepared for you! Each room in our cottage has been thoughtfully curated to provide a fun, vintage inspired stay.

While we do love the fun, GG inspired touches, the cottage is a quiet, relaxing space for anyone and any occasion. Come on, come all!

*Although located on the Smith-Willoughby estate, this is a stand-alone home with complete privacy.*

Living Space
We have enjoyed making this space as comfortable and inviting as possible, including large sofa and smart TV in the living room, a fully stocked kitchen with anything you could ever need, and a very unique aesthetic in the entire property.

Bed and Bath
After a long day of exploring our beautiful city, relax and unwind in the plush queen-sized bed and 1,000 thread count sheets. The bedroom also offers a smart TV with streaming services at your disposal. Bathroom features a walk-in tiled shower (handicap accessible) with on-demand hot water for you who enjoy those long showers.

Outdoor Space
The cottage features a cozy and private fenced patio with comfortable seating options and space for your furry friends (upon approval).

-Streaming services: Netflix, HULU, Prime Video, and cable.
-Fast, reliable WIFI for any remote workers enjoying our space.
-Coffee and espresso machines in the kitchen, stocked with our favorite coffees.

This property is absolutely perfect for any couple and their pet! When we arrived there was a fresh bowl of water waiting for our family dog. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The location was close to downtown but just far enough away that you didn't feel the bust of it all.

Great Golden Girls Getaway!!

We enjoyed an amazing vacation and stay at this well appointed, conveniently located and charming cottage! Brandon is an excellent and thoughtful host and we absolutely loved the surrounding neighborhoods;) We look forward to our next visit and if this property is available, it would definitely be our first choice!!

Good location with market and restaurant nearby. The Keurig coffee maker is so old that it does not take k-cups. Otherwise, a great B&B I would use again.

Super fun place to stay!

My hubs and I, along with our pup, stayed here for six days. The location was fantastic, and the Golden Girls theme was awesome!!! The place has everything you need, is clean, and feels relatively spacious despite it only being a one bedroom/one bath. The hosts were awesome—super responsive/communicative and wanted us to have everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!!!! Highly recommend!!!’

This was such a cute place! My wife loves the Golden Girls so I surprised her with an overnight stay for our 4yr anniversary and she absolutely loved it. Its in a great location only 5-10 mins from downtown/waterfront and in a quiet neighborhood. Brandon had great communication and even offered for us to check in early. Overall great experience and I would not only stay here again myself I'd recommend it to everyone I know.

Is there a rating over 5 stars? If so, I'd give it to this incredible cottage. The attention to detail in the design, decor and all the quality well-thought out touches easily makes the GG Cottage the best, cleanest, and most welcoming I've ever stayed in. It truly was a ‘golden’ experience.

This cottage was conveniently located near downtown in a beautiful historic district, which was also just a quick trip to the beach. This rental was incredibly clean, comfortable, and user-friendly. The GG decor was a hoot and it felt like we were in Miami in the 1980's. It was a blast! We can't wait to return and stay here again!!!! I cannot recommend this cottage enough. Thank you to our wonderful hosts.
