Perfect outdoor weather

Moose Tracks cabin was a great getaway from these 90 degree + days. Cool evenings on the deck or in the hot tub star gazing. Mornings just relaxing with coffee looking at the 360 views and the hummers buzzing around. Lots of nice hiking in the area , We did spot a few moose. 🫎 The house is really well appointed and that isn't easy to find in a vacation rental. No clutter Super clean Hot tub sparkled. Nice bedding The management team was very responsive and willing to go the extra mile . We have stayed at dozens of vacation rentals and this is one of the best . Looking forward to our next visit. Hoping to catch the aspen sometime .

Location, layout, beds, hot tub were great! I’ve never left a negative review in the dozens of places I stayed but this is one I’d have liked to have known. It was advertised as a place you could work which is what I do every year at this time. When I got there the directions to fix internet were incorrect, and nothing I did would work. I had payroll to do & I couldn’t figure it out even after texting management comp. The next morning when the company opened they were able to get it reset. The company was very nice & helpful but owner had it placed in a locked closet so getting it reset wasn’t easy. Once it was fixed it worked great, but I lost a nights sleep and a good deal of stress for 24 hours before it was working well. This is the 1st VRBO I’ve paid this much for that had no tiny shampoo conditioner & bath soap to get you started. This place has a wine fridge with no cork screw so we bought one & left it for the next person. I baked bread while there and once done I tried to use the microwave and it just shut off and never worked again. The comp offered to fix it but we asked that it be fixed for the next guest. Here’s the part that put me over the edge. Mice droppings and mice scratching keeping my hubs up. It was that time of yr but the droppings were bad and my hubs cleaned up as much as he could but it was bad… nothing in cabinet’s but on top. We recommended an exterminator & the comp said they would get one out there. If all cleaned it would be a 9.

Perfect get away!

Everything was perfect. The home had all the amenities and more. One of the most well stocked VRBOs Iv stayed in. The hot tub was clean and refreshing with a great view. It was a good location for both FairPlay and Breckenridge. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful location and cabin

After 8 years of not traveling to Colorado, me and my family decided to travel back to Colorado, we came across this cabin after hours of searching and let’s just say it’s the perfect cabin, the views are amazing, and it’s really spacious, if you want to feel some what secluded but also be 15 minutes away from FairPlay then this is the place, I will say this if you go during the winter make sure u have good tires and/or chains

Family Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay! The property and views were so amazing! We saw elk & chipmunks everyday. The weather was beautiful, so we ate most meals on the patio..it was perfect! The kids loved the hot tub every night, too! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful, large, wood cabin with very impressive windows and a lovely deck. We really enjoyed our stay despite having a connectivity outage for a couple of days. The only caution is the elevation is over 11,000 ft so it is quite the change for people like us coming from sea level (Florida).

Super Summer Trip!!

We REALLY enjoyed staying at the cabin! We saw moose, a porcupine and her baby, a coyote and numerous chipmunks! The location was perfect for day trips to Breckinridge, Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, Royal Gorge and Garden of the Gods. Loved the fireworks display in FairPlay on the 4th!! We would most assuredly recommend and will stay here again!!!

Family trip to remember

We truly enjoyed our stay at Moose track cabin. The whole family was in awe with the cabin. The cabin was so clean and comfortable. We enjoyed coming home at night and cooking in the kitchen with it feeling like home. We also enjoyed the hot tub and watching movies at the end of the night together.The best part was seeing moose in the backyard. Being from FL this trip was amazing.

Good quiet cabin

My family and I stayed at the cabin for a little quiet time. It was nice. Some of the doors/locks are a little finicky and you have to get used to it. The 2 main doors to the deck werent allowed to be opened for some reason so this made it a little awkward getting in and out. The hot tub was a hit with the kids and was very nice. Would stay again if we ever decide on Fairplay as our vacation spot. The owners were very quick in their responses and the check-in process was seemless. Rating would be 4.5/5 if VRBO allowed.

Amazing

The house is just perfect! I wish that I could live there forever! Great communication with the host. At the end of each snowboarding day, having the luxury of enjoying the hot tub outside overlooking the mountains is priceless! If you are thinking about it… go for it!

Moose Tracks Fairplay

Our family of 10 enjoyed our stay at this beautiful. Cabin and scenery did not disappoint. Kitchen was very well equipped. Furnishing were perfect for cabin. We would suggest an all wheel drive to get up to cabin on a rocky road. If you are troubled with altitude level, this might not be for you. Hiking was great in the area. Saw moose, elk and fox. Took day trips and back in time to fix dinner in, and relax in the salt water hot tub. I would definitely recommend this cabin for a family trip!

Great stay

The house was beautiful and very clean. Unfortunately the house had very low water pressure so no two people could shower at once. The house has amazing views but is in a road that is very difficult to drive with snow/ice. The stairway up to the house also wasn’t shoveled which made it dangerous to walk up with snow.

Beautiful cabin, lots of wildlife

Loved the design of this cabin. If I were buying a cabin, this is the set up I would want. Being at higher altitude, the wildlife even in the summer is great. The highlight was the momma moose and her baby right down the street, but there were others. Fairplay is a short drive away. The only disconcerting thing about our stsy was the realization we were being monitored by camera outside. We realize there are problem guests owners have to deal with; but we are not. Overall it was a great time and very enjoyable.

Beautiful house but had issues with septic or gas in the house.

The house is beautiful and clean but there is a really bad septic/gas smell in the house especially in the bathrooms. Would not recommend wearing an expensive bathing suit in the hottub either as it bleached out ours. If the smell and the hottub were fixed this place would have been perfect. Unfortunately we probably won’t stay again.

After inspection the home is still in immaculate condition with no smells inside and the hot tub is clean and in balance (it is a salt water system). Hopefully this didn't put a damper on your trip and you had a wonderful time!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

Overall, this place is the perfect mountain getaway. The views are amazing. Be sure you have all-wheel drive or 4x4 with good tires for snow. It was a bit of a drive to Breckenridge however, the whole way is scenic and goes by quick. The only downside to this place was that on the first hot tub night, I looked up and noted a security camera aimed right in my direction. Just felt a little wielded out after that but, didn’t stop me from using it again and would not stop me from staying here again. Just something to be aware of. Highly Recommend!

Moose Tracks Relaxation

Beautiful cabin location 15 minutes from Fairplay, Colorado. Elevation is high at 11,150 ft. Weather was great for September as we had summer temps and then it snowed! It was so wonderful to feel the cool air and snow. Cabin has all the amenities you will need. TV's were great as they were for streaming. The only downside is the heat was broken. We were able to use space heaters that kept us warm on the chilly nights. Also they do not have a Keurig so dont bring K-cups.

moose tracks cabin

We enjoyed our stay at moose tracks, very nice cabin was very clean when we arrived. A couple of things, the owner should consider getting a new outdoor grill. We were planning on cooking steaks the night we arrived but the grill was completely unusable. Looks like it had not been cleaned in years, no grease trap, interior parts are rusty and falling apart. Not usable! the only other thing, the dishwasher soap was empty. But the cabin is nice, we thank you letting us use it.

June in Fairplay

We stayed here the last week or so in June 2025. We had six adults in our group. Beautiful cabin about 12 minutes outside Fairplay. Cabin was very clean and very comfortable. Wrap around deck was amazing and allowed us to follow the sun from morning until sunset. The Hot tub was amazing and very clean. The only slightly negative observation was the tiny little bathroom upstairs in the loft...which is set up to be the Master suite. Not a big deal. Kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. The grocery store in Fairplay was surprisingly well stocked and had everything we needed for our week. We bought some drinking water - but the well water at the house was just fine and bottled water is not really necessary. The gravel road getting up to the property has some rough spots...but that's to be expected if you're choosing a quiet place away from town. We would definitely recommend this beautiful cabin.

Not what was expected

We want to be as professional as possible about this review. However, No matter what we say about how catastrophic this stay was we don’t want the comment back from the property management company to point their finger back at us. I wish the public could read our reviews from multiple rental companies over the many years as my husband and I travel all over the lower 48. This is the most unprofessional company we’ve used ever. Over stating and under delivering out to be their motto. If you read their policies and procedures? They steer completely of path in relation to their posting. Once again, please don’t make the mistake we did. Over all? The place is a 7 out of 10. The property management company was absolutely terrible. My husband and I have used other words professionally for companies such as this. Sheisters……
