Get away today to Bigfoot Bungalow! Tucked into a thicket of rhododendron bushes a short drive from downtown Blowing Rock, this beautiful home is an excellent choice for your family's next getaway!
Park on the paved driveway and walk down the cobblestone path to the house. There's just 5 steps to the covered deck, then you're inside! Large windows as well as a vaulted T&G ceiling in the living area brings lots of natural light and open feeling. There's comfortable leather furniture arranged facing the gas log fireplace and big TV (offering YouTube TV streaming), a perfect place to relax and watch your favorite games and shows. The kitchen area offers black appliances and custom cabinets, as well as granite counters and all the basics you'll need to prepare snacks and meals. Just off the kitchen area is the long dining table, with room for 6-8 people comfortably dining together.
The primary suite is located off the living room. There's a King bed and more vaulted ceilings here, and the private bathroom has a water closet, tiled shower, & double vanities. By the kitchen is a second suite, with a Queen bed, TV, and private bathroom with a tub/shower.
Downstairs you'll find a bonus room with a sleeper sofa, as well as a third bedroom a set of twin over full bunk beds.
Off the living room is a door to the open rear deck. It's a great place to sit and reflect with your morning coffee while you enjoy the sounds of nature around you. During chill evenings, enjoy the gas firetable! A set of steps off the back deck leads to a stone fire ring in the yard as well. Soak in the newly installed hot tub. The backyard is partially fenced and has a gentle slope. It's a great place for kids & dogs to run and play while you watch from the deck, then set up cornhole boards or throw a football!
Bigfoot Bungalow is located less than 15 minutes to downtown Blowing Rock's shopping and dining options. The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than a half mile away, as well! All that the High Country has to offer is a short drive away.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
-This home allows up to 4 mature, well-trained dogs under 60 pounds, with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
-Check In is after 4pm. Check Out is by 10am.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- Paved parking space for up to 3 vehicles.
- This property has one exterior security camera mounted on the right side of the garage monitoring the driveway. The camera does not monitor the interior of the home or common gathering areas.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling us with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled with a 15+ day notice will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 8-14 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of their reservation payments. Bookings canceled within 7 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
